It is probably not possible anymore for most of them to learn something new, something that is completely opposite to what they have been taught. What men have learned from their childhood is that they are the masters â€" the superiors. They know better and understand better. The society and the entire world exist for them. They will rule. They will consume. Most men refuse to learn anything that contradicts this.

After her death, the Prophet got married almost a dozen times. He even married a girl who was 50 years younger than him. The disciples of the Prophet are following this incidence of him marrying someone younger at an older age. The Prophet also married a widower who was 15 years older than him. No “true” Muslim has an interest in following that.

i got a big surprise the other day. Billie, a teenage girl from England sent me a really big donation and also this drawing of the three dogs and me. wow!!!

i told her she should become an artist and she said that she is studying to be an illustrator/artist. Billie has 2 dogs and she also used to have a dog called Dot who was with her for 15 years since Billie was only 4 years old. Billie says: Although losing my dog broke my heart, I'm glad she had the opportunity to live a long, happy life, and I'm glad you've given these animals a chance at a long happy life. Thank you very much for making it possible Billie, you're amazing!

a big shout-out to Bince Bince who is from the Philippines and living in Canada now. He likes soccer and supports Liverpool and the Azkals, the Philippine national team. (Azkals means "street dogs"!) He has 2 dogs in Canada who came from a rescue organization, Charm and Astra, they are so cute.

He also has dogs back in the Philippines, on the left is Jaguar who died the day after Bince2x went on a visit back to the Philippines, Bince2x says it's as if Janguar wanted to stay alive to see his master one more time! On the right is Bince2x with a fox-tailed doggy named Chucky.

Thanks to many generous donations, work has started on the Happy Animals Club animal shelter! The first task is to build a fence so that the dogs don't go running onto the street whenever the gate is opened.

The construction crew, from left: Dexter, Michael, Ken, and Boy. Dexter worked on the house that was being built across the street from where we live. Michael is a neighbor on the same street. Boy was sent by our landlord to fix our house after it got battered by a storm. I chose this crew because they are all really nice guys and they all work very hard even when it is very hot.

The £27,000 in donations helped the youngster buy a plot of land for his shelter, as well as the building materials and carpenters to help him build it.

The remainder of the money has been used to care for three dogs he already cares for called White Puppy, Brownie and Blackie.

‘I came up with the idea for the Happy Animals Club when I was thinking that there may be more kill shelters than actual shelters for animals,’ he explained.

‘I want to save as many of those dogs as I can from being killed for no reason.’

He added: ‘So far I have three dogs but I hope to care for more, as well as feed skinny dogs on the street when I see them.

Remember the boy who spent his pocket money helping stray animals? His story just got 10x better

Mark Molloy for Metro.co.uk

Animal-loving Ken Amante is to open his own animal shelter after receiving more than £25,000 in donations (Picture: Caters)

A kind-hearted boy who found internet fame after using his pocket money to help feed stray dogs is set to open his own animal shelter after receiving more than £27,000 in online donations.

Ken Amante captured the hearts of thousands around the world after his father shared pictures of him feeding the starving dogs on the streets of southern Philippines.

And now the nine-year-old is set to open his Happy Animals Club shelter, which is currently under construction, to help more stray animals.

Ken, who lives in Davao City, explained he wants to help the high number of stray dogs who are put down for ‘no reason’.

The proud father now supplies the dog food for his son and hopes to treat the stray dogs for their skin condition and eventually re-home them.

He added his son, who has been taking precautions to disinfect himself after interacting with the strays, has ambitions to open his own animal shelter.

His son told him he had been taking the trips to feed the dogs, who appear to be infected with mange, a skin disease caused by parasitic mites.

(Picture: Imgur / i_believe_in_pizza)

Remembering when he first saw the animals, he explained:  ‘I’m embarrassed to say I was pretty disgusted. But my son changed my perspective entirely.

‘He doesn’t have my prejudice and paranoia I guess. I was blown away when I saw that little zombie pup do a hi-five again and again.’

Curious father cannot believe what his kind-hearted son does in his spare time

A curious father was left stunned after discovering where his young son was going on his daily walks.

He noticed his son left their house in the rural Philippines every day for two weeks, carrying a backpack, and one day he decided to tag along.

The pair stopped on the side of the road and moments later a group of starving stray dogs came towards them.

If diving sounds too scary, try a tour of Palawan's subterranean river (which UNESCO calls "one of the most unique" in the world) or take a bangka boat to travel between the islands.

Once you're back on land, hop on a "tricycle," one of the preferred methods of transportation on Palawan. We're pretty sure that after all the biking, swimming and exploring you'll do -- you'll never want to leave.

Incredible (and rare) wildlife can be found on the islands, from purple crabs and Philippine mouse-deer to Philippine pangolin and beautiful butterflies. Just be sure to avoid the creepy-looking Palawan bearcat at night.

We suggest heading into the water and going below the surface. Palawan has some of the best spots to scuba dive in the world -- barracuda-filled shipwrecks, for example, line the bottom of Coron Bay.

High points include island-hopping around the Bacuit archipelago for the cliffs, sinkholes and lagoons, venturing to Puerto Princesa for its culinary delights and staying in one of Coron's "otherworldly" luxury hotels.

Described as "the last frontier," Palawan has artifacts that date back 50,000 years. The island is accessible by either boat or airplane -- it's about an hour and a half by air from Manila-- although you can also get there from Iloilo and Cebu. Many say the ideal time to head to Palawan is between about October and May, so we suggest booking tickets ASAP.

Palawan, The Most Beautiful Island In The World, Is Sheer Perfection

By Carly Ledbetter
The Huffington Post
11/24/2014

It's hard to believe the Philippines are an under-appreciated tropical travel destination, especially with their extraordinary hiking, diving, beaches and of course -- islands that are THIS beautiful.

And while we'd like to visit every single island in the Philippines, there's one island in particular we're zeroing in on -- Palawan, a hidden piece of paradise that was recently named "The Top Island in the World" by Conde Nast Traveler's Reader Choice Awards.

There, beautiful blue water mixes with emerald green, jungle-filled mountains that appear to rise up from the ocean, and small fishing villages dot the island. Together with its neighboring islands, it creates the Palawan province, aka paradise.

for purposes of history and not for matters of faith...

Chronological list of popes murdered

Stephen VI (896â€"897):  Strangled

Pope Stephen VI (Latin: Stephanus VI; died August 897) was Pope from 22 May 896 to his death in 897.

He had been made bishop of Anagni by Pope Formosus. The circumstances of his election are unclear, but he was sponsored by one of the powerful Roman families, the house of Spoleto, that contested the papacy at the time.
Jean-Paul Laurens, Le Pape Formose et Étienne VII ("Pope Formosus and Stephen VII"), 1870. Note the latter is now called Pope Stephen VI.

Stephen is chiefly remembered in connection with his conduct towards the remains of Pope Formosus, his last predecessor but one. The rotting corpse of Formosus was exhumed and put on trial in the so-called Cadaver Synod (or Synodus Horrenda) in January 897. Pressure from the Spoleto contingent and Stephen's fury with his predecessor probably precipitated this extraordinary event. With the corpse propped up on a throne, a deacon was appointed to answer for the deceased pontiff. During the trial, Formosus's corpse was condemned for performing the functions of a bishop when he had been deposed and for receiving the pontificate while he was the bishop of Porto, among other revived charges that had been levelled against him in the strife during the pontificate of John VIII. The corpse was found guilty, stripped of its sacred vestments, deprived of three fingers of its right hand (the blessing fingers), clad in the garb of a layman, and quickly buried; it was then re-exhumed and thrown in the Tiber. All ordinations performed by Formosus were annulled.

The trial excited a tumult. Though the instigators of the deed may actually have been Formosus' enemies of the House of Spoleto (notably Guy IV of Spoleto), who had recovered their authority in Rome at the beginning of 897 by renouncing their broader claims in central Italy, the scandal ended in Stephen's imprisonment and his death by strangling that summer. The pair were asked what types of things they covet.

JADEN: Anything that you can shock somebody with. The only way to change something is to shock it. If you want your muscles to grow, you have to shock them. If you want society to change, you have to shock them.

WILLOW: That’s what art is, shocking people. Sometimes shocking yourself.

The famous Hollywood siblings were also asked about not going to school like other kids their age.

JADEN: Here’s the deal: School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to.

WILLOW: Forever, ‘til the day that we’re in our bed.

JADEN: Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty.

WILLOW: They never want to do anything, they’re so tired.

JADEN: You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver’s ed? What’s up? I still haven’t been to driver’s ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can’t see how driver’s ed is really helping them out.

WILLOW: I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, “Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed.” But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.
#11357
What have you been reading?

WILLOW: Quantum physics. Osho.

JADEN: “The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life” and ancient texts; things that can’t be pre-dated.

OK!

What are some of the themes that recur in your work?

JADEN: The P.C.H. being one of them; the melancholiness of the ocean; the melancholiness of everything else.

WILLOW: And the feeling of being like, this is a fragment of a holographic reality that a higher consciousness made.

The all-male group's name, "V.S.T", was said to represent the names of three lead vocalists, "Val, Spanky and Tito."[citation needed] Other speculations were that the acronym stood for "Very Special Talaga", or "Vicor Super Team" â€" implying supremacy in the roster of Vicor Music Corporation. VST is also being used by Tito Sotto, which means "Vicente Sotto the Third" and by Vic Sotto, "Vic Sot To." (wikipedia)

The story had an even happier ending because Nicholson was also able to leave the hospital that same day, with no complications.

Both owner and dog are now back at home and adjusting to life in the spotlight. The pair, along with Wright, was on their way back from a photo shoot when reached today by ABC News.

Wright says they hope their happy story inspires other people to do two things.

“Going to an animal shelter and helping a dog or thanking first responders because we think those are the most important things right now,” he said.

https://gma.yahoo.com/

Buddy hitched a ride here
#11364

Buddy, whom Nicholson's daughter got him from a shelter four months ago, is used to riding along on utility vehicles around the ranch, according to Wright.

Those involved believe it was likely that familiarity with being on the road plus the sight of his beloved owner leaving that prompted Buddy to jump on the ambulance.

“I don’t think he wanted to leave his buddy, his best friend,” Wright said.
#11365

“They told me they rode anywhere from 15 to 21 miles until a motorist flagged them down and told them there was a dog on the side of the ambulance,” Wright said.

The first responders pulled Buddy into the ambulance, where he rode the rest of the nearly one-hour drive to the hospital.

The road that Buddy traversed while hanging onto the ambulance included twists and hills, a bridge and a highway.

“Buddy was not injured,” Wright said. “That’s the only reason it’s such a good story.”
#11366

Nicholson, 85, was taken by ambulance late last month to Hill Country Memorial Hospital after complaining of dizziness.

Wright stayed behind to close up the ranch and noticed that Buddy was missing but, he says, had no reason to be concerned.

“Buddy is part Beagle and I never get too concerned when he’s missing because he always comes back,” Wright said.

When Wright arrived at the hospital a short time later, medical staff told him that Nicholson was stable and that Buddy was there at the hospital too.

A 4-year-old part-Beagle named Buddy who hung on for miles to the outside of an ambulance that had his owner inside is quickly becoming a viral star.

“His stardom has taken off tremendously, to say the least,” Brian Wright told ABC News.

It was Wright who first shared the story of Buddy’s heroic efforts to local media around the Mason, Texas, ranch where Buddy lives with his owner, J.R. Nicholson.

"She treated my children like they were her own," Seddon said. "She was the best you could ask for a stepmother."

According to media reports in the Philippines, witnesses saw Moore beating Aiko in their condominium complex shortly before her death. After allegedly beating up his wife, Moore ran off and reportedly slit his throat but lived, according to the news outlet. Moore was then taken to a hospital where he was treated for his neck injury after he reportedly tried to kill himself.

"I think losing his wife and having to come to the realization of what he's done is probably going to be torture enough for him for the rest of his life," Seddon said.

Seddon is 33 weeks pregnant so she can't fly to the Philippines. Her father is finalizing the necessary paperwork to go and get his grandson.

Because of the typhoon, the embassy is closed so the boy may not be able to come home until sometime next week.

"I'm shocked that it went this far and it's actually happened," Seddon said.

Moore's sister, Ashley Aleman, said she's doing whatever she can to help.

"We didn't want any kind of trouble getting him from the orphanage back to his mom," said Aleman, who lives in Maryland.

Aleman said what's happened is surreal.

Work took Moore to Manila four years ago, where he married his 28-year old wife.

Seddon said Aiko was a nice person who had started her own clothing line.

"I don't think there are words to describe what I thought or how I felt," Seddon said. "It was kind of like something you see in a movie, not something that happens in real life."

Moore grew up in Hurricane and lived in Utah County while he was married to Seddon. The two have a 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son.

"I could hear my son in the background," Seddon said. "I'm like, ‘What's going on?' "

Seddon doesn't know if her son witnessed the assault. With no other family in the Philippines, he was taken to an orphanage. She's been able to talk to him on the phone and said he seems to be doing OK.

"The only thing that's giving me comfort right now is there are mutual friends of Jim and Aiko that are over there that have been keeping in contact with me," Seddon said.

Utah man accused of murder in Philippines; son stranded in orphanage

By Sandra Yi and Pat Reavy
November 13th, 2013

SANTAQUIN â€" A former Utah man is being accused of murder in the Philippines, leaving his 5-year old son stranded in a foreign country.

The little boy was visiting his father, and now his mother in Utah is desperately trying to get him home.

Amber Seddon, who lives in Santaquin, said her son has been with his father since September. The boy was planning to stay there until Christmas. At 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Seddon said she got an incoherent phone call from her ex-husband, James Edward Moore II.

"He basically told me that he's very sorry for everything that's happened, that he's done, to please forgive him," Seddon said.

Seddon said Moore threatened suicide, then hung up.November 18, 2014, 05:51:52 PM

“I think the first real change in women’s body image came when JLo turned it butt-style. That was the first time that having a large-scale situation in the back was part of mainstream American beauty. Girls wanted butts now.

Men were free to admit that they had always enjoyed them. And then, what felt like moments later, boomâ€"Beyoncé brought the leg meat. A back porch and thick muscular legs were now widely admired. And from that day forward, women embraced their diversity and realized that all shapes and sizes are beautiful.

Ah ha ha. No. I’m totally messing with you. All Beyoncé and JLo have done is add to the laundry list of attributes women must have to qualify as beautiful.

Now every girl is expected to have Caucasian blue eyes, full Spanish lips, a classic button nose, hairless Asian skin with a California tan, a Jamaican dance hall ass, long Swedish legs, small Japanese feet, the abs of a lesbian gym owner, the hips of a nine-year-old boy, the arms of Michelle Obama, and doll tits. The person closest to actually achieving this look is Kim Kardashian, who, as we know, was made by Russian scientists to sabotage our athletes.” (Tina Fey, Bossypants, 2011)

Tina Fey’s Kim Kardashian comments came as close to predicting Kardashian’s attempt to “break the Internet” as humanly possible.

“When somebody [like Khloe] has that natural ‘C’ curve, it’s easy to augment,” says Karlinsky, adding that the work was “beautifully done.”

Like Karlinsky, many professionals are calling out the magazine cover shot for being heavily distorted using Photoshop.

“Not sure what screams #photoshop more, the 12-inch waist, or the solid color background?” tweeted Dr. Matthew Schulman, a New York plastic surgeon who performs butt lifts.

Paper’s creative director, Mickey Boardman, told Us Weekly that the photos were doctored slightly, but maintained that no extra meat was added to Kardashian’s bones. Others are unconvinced.

Karlinsky adds that Khloe, who already has an accentuated lumbar spine that curves nicely, would have no trouble filling out her already curvaceous behind.

Certainly, the Paper magazine images do not look real.

Those procedures, which involve liposuction on the stomach, hips, thighs and back followed by fat injections on the top, center and bottom of the buttocks, have been growing in popularity since Jennifer Lopez first shimmied in her “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” video in 2000.

It caused a revolution. A curvy body â€" especially one with a big butt â€" became more popular than the heroin-chic anorexic look of a decade earlier.

But Kim and Khloe have taken the bootylicious craze to a cartoonish level.

“Certainly, the Paper magazine images do not look real,” says Dr. Victoria Karlinsky, chief cosmetic surgeon at New Look New Life on the Upper West Side. “She looks incredibly thin in the waist and has absolutely no body fat. I can’t imagine anyone having enough body fat to create something like that.”

To get to the bottom of it all, we asked the experts.

“Kim has had enhancement for sure,” says Dr. Basil Pakeman, who performs Brazilian butt lifts at Manhattan Surgical Care on the Upper East Side.

Packman, who has not worked on either Kardashian sister, said he knows that baby got fake back because he noticed a “little dot” near the top of her butt.

“That’s one of the incision points we use to inject fat during procedures,” he says.

Plastic surgeons raise a rumpus over Kim Kardashian's butt

To some doctors, what sticks out in Kim's Paper magazine cover is a butt lift or Photoshop fakery

People are talking about the rear ends of Kardashian sisters Kim and Khloe.  Above, Kim in Los Angeles in October.

Are the Kardashians for real? No, really.

The Sisters Kardashian â€" Kim with her baby-oil-enhanced appearance in Paper magazine this week and Khloe with her shelf-like posterior, courtesy of trainer Gunnar Peterson â€" have revived debate about whether those killer kurves are natural or simply the perfect marriage of Photoshop and fat-filled syringes.
