What had happened is a carefully planned marketing strategy of the Americans which is often  adapted now by legitimate business establishments proliferating in our country using anomalous strategies to widen or expand the market-base of their business line of interest. For example, how will one markets the services of a newly opened security agency? First, they haved to intoduce to prospective business establishments and wealthy individuals the profile of their business company and the edge they have compared with the other competitors around. When market response is so low, this kind of strategy comes into their mind-"hire outside goons and spread fear to their prospects in accordance with their instruction." Once the mission of these hired goons had been done or accomplished, they will go back immediately to their prospects and offer them the same thing, saying, "What happened to you was so unfortunate. Good that nobody was hurt. This scary thing could not have happened should you heed our advice to hire us to protect you." If you were the victim how will you react to this offer?

Pwede sab kag mag tuna sa lapok for one hour each day. This method is easy and affordable. All one needs to spend is the tricycle or habal habal fare going to the nearest tuna-an in your area. This traditional method is proven effective and used nationwide in spas operating in the urban areas where tunaan is nowhere to be found. Hurry while the wet season is still around! LOL

Posible na basta magorganisa sila. Pwede sila maghimo ug lig ong kooperatiba para mawagtang ang fish cartel. Unya magplano sad sila kon unsaon pagsolbad sa mga problema nila sa panahon nga off season ang pangingisda. They could diverisfy their cooperative to fund other income generating ventures like, cottage industries, backyard farming, etc.

Perfectly done! Given a, b, c and n real, would you believe that the roots of any equation of nth exponential order can be solved using Newton-Raphson method theory of convergence? Try using this general formula shown in (1), in solving the root of the equation

f(x)=x3+x-1=0

xn+1=xn-f(xn)/f'(xn)      (1)

It is but natural that the church should intervene with the policies of the government when the general welfare of the people is at stake. With the prevalence of government corruptions, oppressions, liquidations, abortions and legal manipulations happening within our present set up, would we like that the churches where the people foresee as providers of good moral support just remain silent as spectators because of the separation of church and state? The reasoning behind the separation of church and state is based on the treatise that both institutions would play each distinct role under the rule of law with the aid of the Divine Providence as emphasized in the preamble of our constitution. The church and the state are  institutionalized as the two balancing bodies whose role is to maintain harmony among the people of our society. If ever the church becomes an oppressor, then the state is obliged to intervene with the affairs of the church, and vise vera. There will never be an absolute rule for this presumption. There has to be a check and balance in order to maintain a harmonious order in this society where we belong. Long live the Filipino people.

You are exactly right. There is only one AIT campus in Thailand. Before, only qualified scholars from different Asian countries were admitted to enroll in different Masteral and Doctoral Courses in Engineering. Diploma Courses were not offered before. I don't know their set up now. I was informed then that Dr. Mario Tabucanon from Leyte is the present Provost after finishing his term as the President of that school. We were there together in that school when he was still working with his dissertation for his Doctoral Degree. Are you working and residing there now with your family? Suwaidi kap!

Bill allows Church leaders to solemnize marriages without need for gov't. license
06 September 2008 10:58:54 AM
Writer: Fidel Gumawid, MAS-PRID

This is an attempt to amend the existing bill which was passed and implemented without any public hearing. Religious leaders were caught helpless when this bill was implemented. In fact, in this existing bill, a minister is bound only to administer marriage vow within his jurisdictional area where he is to secure the license which is renewable yearly. What a shame to our government! I just wish that the proposed bill of Fidel Gumawid will be passed to supercede the existing one.

" The idea of separating church and state came from people aimed at preventing the government from mandating a particular religious practice ---- NOT kicking God out of the public square entirely. More and more Christians are buying the lie that faith is merely a private matter that has no bearing on the workplace, relationships, how we vote, or how we're governed...."

Heretics do not believe God has a hand in the governing power of man just like during the formation of Socialism of Stalin and Lenin of the then defunct USSR, and yet their constituents are embracing their faith that God exist. Every country 'round the world embraces a religion of their own, some may be strictly imposed by the state while others are by freewill which God their constituents believe in. A lot of ISMS are abounding all over the world promising man's sanctity, salvation and well being, yet they confuse the present and upcoming generations. Which God is the true God? In the US, a national religion cannot be imposed by the state because of the democratic set up. Otherwise, another religious conflict will arise each bracing for recognition by the state. Just what had happened during the reign of the Holy Roman Empire when Christianity was declared and imposed as the imperial religion. It then insinuated a hundred-year war, and two thirty-year war born out of religious differences each seeking for recognition by the emperors in successions. While majority of the Americans embrace Christianity, still schism exists in various denominations. Why? Because they are making religious practices as business. They commercialize their faith in the guise of the God they believe in. While tithing is mentioned in the Chirstian bible, Catholics never adopt it ever since. Instead they extract fees for every sacraments that their faithful undergo. In fact Catholic faith have more sacraments recognized than the protestant for obvious reasons. Protestants are strict in imposing tithe among their followers in forms of pledges that they don't need more sacraments to extact money. They all mean business here to sustain with their very own existence. Try to think of it!

Guise lang diay ning RH Program for the sake of collecting more and more funds for this program. Pag daghang funds dagko sab ang korakot, korek? I'll go for the natural method not the artificial ones. Actually, Family Planning was introduced as a regular subject when I was yet a college sophomore (1970?), and yet based on my observation, it has done nothing to control the growth of our population. With the span of more than three decades our population grow more than double now. The rate of increase is almost directly proportional to the amount of funds spent for this program each year, thus, making this country poorer than as it is before. As I see it, this program is a big waste of money for nothing except a clear destruction of our moral values and taxing peoples money. It never reduced the incidence of poverty but widens it year after year! Trash that Bill! Act now before we even realize that our country is buried deep under the mire of poverty.

Questions:

1. What was my last position in the race if I overtake the third runner in the line?
2. What was my last position in the race if I overtake the second runner in the line?
3. What was my last position in the race if I overtake the first runner in the line?

It's true! Openess serves as a lifeline cord that binds each couple to be in union with each other when they committed a vow 'Til death do us part.' What a wholesome thing to imagine how lucky you are that moment, as you walk towards the altar, filled with such a fascination that you are meant for each other! Married couple just have to translate this imagination into reality one at a time to strenghten the cord that binds them together as years go by.

The entire context of that proposed bill has yet to be known and subject for intense deliberation in Congress during public hearings. All religious orders not only bishops from the Catholic church only identified in this particular report, should have a strong participation during the hearing. Baka maparehas na pod ni sa gipasang bill requiring religious personages a license for them to administer a church wedding. Of course before you get your license you must pay the price. I hope this is not another way of taxing peoples money. People in congress could not just say directly that all they wanted is to demand an increase of their cuts due to the dwindling economic situation at present! Sana hindi ganon!

The family has no revenue generating business of their own and yet they live in a mansion as the wealthiest family in their barangay. Does it matter? All these attributes linked to Boholanos help much in strengthening their recognition and respect to us, that Boholanos are really that humble, smiling, cool headed, smart, and in every aspect, have a good sense of humor. They consider Boholanos as a catalyst in every close and wholesome conversations because dull moments are out when Boholanos are in. These are the tools Boholanos used in introducing themselves to erase some misunderstanding that bohol to Tagalogs means 'tali'; bohol-bohol means 'salinggubot o magulo'. In reality Boholanos are not that troublemakers. We are cool-headed people reflective of our very own tarsiers in Corella. I am a proud Boholano despite of all odds and evens! LOL

True! Relationship in marriage is just like testing your internet connectivity. When there is a strong signal, browsing speed, picture transparency and sound fidelity are high. With this kind of situation you can work well with high efficiency using your laptop companion. When signals become low because of some interference, then one begins to suspect the cause. Sniff doon...sniff dito...may dumikit ba dito...may ibang amoy ba dito, atbp. The level of stability in a relationship of married couple depends on how each partner connects with each other. When connectivity becomes low,  trouble arises, then war.

It is not a strange thing to imagine that every religious denomination worldwide expreiences shcisms within their group, Chirstians and Muslims alike. Manay, what draws my interest in your info is that Muslims are now given recognition of their faith by including Islam in the school curricula in some German Estate. Perhaps that's a positive product of Ecumenism emerging now worldwide.

I remember  the Thirty Years' Wars (1618-1648) broke out in Europe (Germany, France, Bulgaria, Bohemia, and other neighboring monarchial estates) because of religious conflicts. There was no muslim religion involved in that war but only Christian conflicts (Roman Catholics, Roman Orthodox, Lutheran, Calvinist). It was ended by the Treaty of Westphalia (1648) in a declaration that Christianity is a universal religion not Catholics and setting aside the recognition of the Calvinist which later on regained strong followers in Germany and Hungary.

Balikan to natong akong gihatag nga mental exercise, nga way pa ma solve. Ako na lang ihatag ang solution niini.

Prove that 370=1320.

This can be proven only by using sound. Visayan sound can only solve this problem by just reading the numbers.

370 can be read as three seventy in regular english diction. For the Visayans they commonly read this numbers as 'tre se bente'.

1320 can be read in spanish as 'trece beinte' which sounds like 'tre se bente' as illustrated above.

Rald, maayo man sad na. Ang concern ko karon ang pag mugna ug programa that will cater the immediate needs of the people in the community kagaya ng backyard farming (poultry o piggery). Kinahanglan lang nga maghimo kitag mga restrictions to prevent possibe pollution. Sa baho pwede na natong maantos diha pero ang solid and liquid waste management ang dapat bigyan ng pansin na magkaroon ng proper waste disposal. Pwede silang mag diversify ng product line while waiting for the time to market the backyard farming products, kagaya ng sabi mong cottage industry like basket weaving. I know one in Silliman University. Sana kung mayron sa Bohol doon na lang tayo humingi ng needed assistance, They have specialized courses in community organizing and cooperatives. Pwede pa nilang i monitor ang pamamalakad ng cooperative until such time nga smooth sailing na 'to.

I know of this Calixto Seroje, from Mabini, Bonie Bitco, of Alicia, and Vic Cagampang of Tugas, Candijay. They are NIA boys. The two were the side kicks of Calix when I was still working with NIA way back 1976. Naunsa man ni sila imbis nagkatiguwang paurong man hinuon.

For example, the word 'boto'

boto means seed o liso in bisaya (reso as how the Japs pronounce it)
boto means explosion o potok in Tagalog (exprosion as how the Japs pronounce it)
boto means vote during election o botar in local dialect (the Japs prefer to say ERECTION instead of vote)
boto means testicle o b*y*g in Tagalog, same word for the Visayans (again ERECTION for Japs instead of testicles)

No matter how, the Japs are always saying the truth in English, in example

AMERICAN: The Filipino people are very lucky to have a president who loves them very much.
JAPANESES: The FIRIPINO PAYPOOR are very ROCKY to have a president who ROBS them very much.

I was once a member of SCA back in my high school years in Guindulman. The school is ran by sisters of ARM (Agustinian Recollect Missionaries). We were then trained to teach cathecism in the local public elementary schools, and share them our talents by holding off-campus convocation programs. What a lifetime exprerience is it to be an SCA!

Mao man ni siguro giingon nga 'manna' or a food from heaven. Dili ko kaayo sigurado kon Apale ba ang pangalan. Nakalimotan kona ang lokal term niaana. Pero its a tuber with yellowish and smooth peel. Usually, this tuber grows aplenty during famine when foods are so scarce. The tuber is sliced into thin chips and dried to remove the saps before cooking.

Since the fight is all for business, a possibility of a trilogy is more likely to happen.

First Bout: Manny Pacquiao over dela Hoya by split decision.
Rematch: De la Hoya over Manny Pacquiao by split decision.
Third and Final Bout: De la Hoya by unanimous decision (a farewell fight of de la Hoya)

Sus, daghana na nang kwartaha no? Kung ako ni Manny moondang na sab kog boxing basin mosamot kog kalibat. Mosamot noon kadaghan ang kwarta kay doble na man ang iyahang tinan awan. LOL

Inspiration & Hope / Re: The year of St Paul!
November 18, 2008, 09:12:39 PM
I longed to share with you again this poem from the Church of Saint Paul. Least you forget.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.
