Malipay og mag lukso-lukso naman gani kog naay mohatag gift $20, $50, or $100 bwahahaha.  ;D

Another example...

Picture of a dying old Oak Tree caused by the salt water of Hurricane Katrina. Dili halata kay mora mag buhi pa kaayo
until the owner decided to cut it and eventually burned down the trunk... nga rotten na diay sa sulod

Scene where that once mighty old Oak Tree stood, photo taken two years after (this morning ako pasabot hehehe).
nag lunupan kung aduna man gani laing bagyo o baha.

Or sometimes, mobakay jud ang mga trees... for the sake of some necessary developments like a residence  ;D

Ajaw na mo pag-away og paglalis to the point of attacking each other kay di na pod maajo (unbecoming napod of decent human beings... I'm acting as your angel advocate this time, kay at one time I lost my cool, too, toward you know who, hehehe). Usa pa, kung duna may krimen o sala nahimo against sa kahoy, dili man mo ang perpetrators ani, but some irresponsible people in Guildulman (Mayor & co).

After all they are the right department/agency APPOINTED or MANDATED by the government to make that decision. Gawas kung di na mo motoo sa gobyerno (that's another story hehehe). I'm not saying they are to be blamed... but they did have a "SAY" in the cutting of those trees, whether we like it or not. (It has nothing to do with one's psycho-logic or college diploma sad to say).

But please let me explain...

I beg to disagree with MDB nga dili ka pwede magputol ug kahoy nga 50 or 100 or more years old. In normal circumstance, yes you are right DILI JOD, at all cost. But not always... as in absolute terms.

Tinuod ang claim sa usa deri nga kung hazard na jud ang maong kahoy (after all efforts and studies are exhausted), then you have to consider the safety of people who come near that tree, especially if that particular tree is in a public place where people gather, pass or picnic. Di lang daghang 300 years old oak trees ning naa namo deri, tag-iyahan pa mig public boat launch... which is a big lawsuit waiting to happen!!! And, again, I'm not kidding.

In short, dili tinuod nga di jud pwede mag putol og kahoy. Because we did the same thing here at our place, napugos mig putol ug usa ka 300 year-old Oak Tree ug usa ka 100 year-old nga Water Oak (see photo below). Ang 300-year old Oak Tree tungod kay rotten na sa ilawom ug naigo pog kilat. Buhi paman siya pero dangerous na kaayo ang mga dagkong sanga nga nagbitay... and so we have to cut it.

Ang water oak, on the other hand, was dying. Wala pa mamatay but it sure was dying, as determined by the arbor company nga amo ge hire. So napugos pod mig paputol ani. All because both trees are considered hazards in a public place like ours... which is a church and a public boat launch. Ultimately it was the decision also of our insurance company to cut those 2 trees... or else. Yes, mao nay giingong "OR ELSE," hagit kung wala nay mo insure sa among properties!!! Huh!!!

So, my take on this is... unsa kaha joy tinuod?

Masakiton ba ang maong kahoy sa Guindulman?

Like Islander or si Alycxs bato, did they have them checked by a tree doctor to determine kung pwede pa ba e save ang mga trees?

Or basin nagpataka rapog ingon nga masakiton si kahoy?

O basin gipadayonan na lag ingon nga masakiton kay naka decide na jud sila sa munisipyo nga ila jud ning ipaputol... without thinking of the consequence (gawas karon nga humana)... mao nga nag himo-himo na lang sila og rason nga hazardous daw?

After all, nakabuhi sad silag sulti nga "yes, we wanted to showcase our major improvement sa merkado..." which makes it suspicious sa ilang gehatag nga rason nga hazardous kuno.

Ambot unsay tubag ani. Like I said, we have various points... but not worth calling names or accusing on another!!!  ;)

                               *          *          *         *         *

Mao ni ang kahoy nga napugos mig paputol kay hazard na kaayo.... more than a hundred years old water oak. Dili pa rotten but
it was determined na patay na ni sya na kahoy

300 year-oal Oak Tree which was later cut kay naigo ug kilat and we found out rotten na siya sa ilawom.
Daghan napong mga dagkong sanga nga nahulog and one hit a car parking outside sa kural-kural

That's why big arbor companies exist... it goes to show nga pwede magputol ug trees when necessary.

To some, all the way and at all cost ilang pamaagi; to others hala kutob sa mainat ang budget. It's not a matter of honesty/dishonesty anymore; it has become a Pinoy election culture... so di na lang jud ta manghusga. Because if we do, we're really judging ourselves (ajaw ko ingna di ka Pinoy kay exempted ka!!! Honest people included ;D)

Hinoon e ampo nato nga safe and non-violent and smooth ang mamahimong election. Ako bitaw wa man jod ko ka botar sukad pa sa Martial Law because I chose to not exercise my right... because for me personally wala joy honest election. Am I right? I think so. Was I wrong? I don't know. I just followed my belief and my conviction (of course with much trepidation, but not without analysis of the political situation in our country). And so I did what I did. But the truth is... I never stopped praying for an honest election or that one day we will change the way we run our elections (no vote buying).

Anyway, useless maning lalis-lais deri sa TB... kay pasakit raman nas buot, whether you admit it or not. It has no effect at all sa muabotay nga election sa ato, even if you think so. Really, funny if you do.  ;D

its been there since 2006?
Catigbian Magic nature existed since 2006? i haven't heard of it. i'll put this in my itinerary.

Yes Ma'm... in between the last barrio of Balilihan called Haguilanan Grande and the first barrio of Catigbian called Haguilanan. 5-6 kilometer before the town proper of Catigbian - from Tagbilaran - on the left-hand side of the highway. Dunay gamay kalsada padung sulod, dili pod kaayo layo. You'll enjoy "kamang-kamang" sa ilang "langub-like" trail og kinabuhing bukidnon taliwala sa gagmay'ng bungtosd. Very picturesque, perhaps a little quaint in the least. I don't have any update though since I saw it last.

I was at my bank today; there was a short line...

There was just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars.

It was obvious she was a little irritated...

She asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla fo yen. Today I only get hunat eighty? Why it change?"

The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations."

The Asian lady says, "Fluc you white people too"

Catigbian Magic Nature Park in Haguilanan, Catigbian, Bohol is one place I wanted to go back to... very unique and different from all other popular tourism spots in Bohol. I was there when it all started in 2006. Lami na siguro karon... but it's still barely known to many visitors. Besides, there are many "unknown" place very unique to Catigbian: waterfalls, multi caverns, Behind The Cloud, part of Chocolate Hills, etc.

We dont need GMO rice, we need to educate  our people to minimize pregnancy in the country and legalized abortion.  hunahunaa ninyo, kagamay sa pinilipas unya daghan kaajo ang tawo! asa man tuod gikan ug kan-on ang mga tawo nga bisan unsaon kuwang raman jud nang atong crops diha?

Minimize pregnancy YES!!! Abortion NO!!! That's murder unya legalized pa jud. Pamusilon na lang nato kung mao na!!! But what about violence?

OK ra kung madato (unja naa nay ikabayad para sa education og travels to broaden one's horizon or what-have-you). Instead, WE should look for solutions. And solutions... that are life-giving, not detrimental to the human being.

i'll try, chicogon.

GMO stands for genetically-modified organism. using rice as an example, a gene from say, another plant that makes it withstand certain type of plant disease is added into the rice's gene. an analogy is kung imong kasingkasing pulihan sa kasing2 sa manok pananglitan :) mao gi-describe nila ni ug franken-rice kay di pa sigurado ang proseso basin mahimo unyang monster. ang risk ani nga process is still not well understood.

another argument against this is the patent to the GMO is owned by the big multinational corporation like Monsanto, Bayer ug kaning Syngenta nga nag-promote ug GMO rice. Ang resulta, ato ta palit nila ug seeds unya perting mahala. also, naa poy sideline nga palit ug pesticide nila. so, for a third world farmer that is not good.

That's good enuf, thanks Jigs... at least kasabot nata gamay. Kidding aside, aw, mogamit pa diay pod tag pesticides - American farming stryle - to protect these new crops. Mao bitaw daghang cancer sa America kay gikan sa tanum, poultry and other food-type industry mogamit jud og chemicals. Kung ako pa sa atong gobyerno... if they really try to go or fight for organic.... maghimo nalang silag daghang DEEP WELL (spend for something basic and crucial... and yet very simple) o di ba invest himo ug daghang TANGKE SA TUBIG (giant ones... as in mega huge... sama sa nahisgutan nato sa laing thread... asa na kaha pod to hehehe) kay aron daghan supply tubig for use sa pananum. Unsaon seasonal maning uwan nato ug ato pong natural resources nga tubig is not as abundant as we would like to think. Daghan unta pong dagat pero wala man pod mo invest sa de-salination projects, etc. Haaay buhay... That's why it (water) is called basic. Mao nay gitawag og "the magic of profiteering!!!". Nagpataka lang ko ay!!!  ;D

Quote of the Day

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of s***."

While the C-5 was turning over its engines, a female crewman gave the G..I.s on board the usual information regarding seat belts, emergency exits, etc.

Finally, she said, "Now sit back and enjoy your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell, and crew take you safely to Afghanistan."

An old MSgt. sitting in the eighth row thought to himself, "Did I hear her right? Is the captain a woman?"

When the attendant came by he said, "Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?"

"Yes!"  said the attendant, "In fact, this entire crew is female."

"My God," he said, "I wish I had two double scotch and sodas. I don't know what to think with only women up there in the cockpit."

"That's another thing, Sergeant," said the crew member, "We No Longer Call It The Cockpit"

"It's The Box Office!"

FLAGGY VERSION  ;D

Call To All Nations - End World Hunger & Poverty

CALL TO ALL NATIONS

Words by J. Roel Lungay

Music by Romeo C. Mascariñas

Performed by Romeo Mascariñas

1
Millions of people,
Counting our children,
Are dying everywhere.
Millions of others,
Brothers and sisters,
Their lives like living hell.
Life doesn’t have to be this way
We’ve come a long, long way, we say.
There are so many other ways
Why can’t we start the change today?

Refrain:
And so I make this call to all nations -
Children of the world, folks of all colours.
From east to west, to north and south,
From me to you and you to all.
Here’s my call to all humanity -
Let us rid of poverty,
Try to set all people free
And afford them dignity -
The life deserving you and me.

2
Where is our future
And where is the concord
Our hearts our longing for?
Where is the solace
And where is the peace
We all try to achieve?
Life doesn’t have to be this way
We’ve come a long, long way, we say
There are so many other ways
Why can't we start the change today?

Bridge:
Build a bridge of harmony
Friendship, peace and unity;
Make a room for one another
In your mind and heart and soul.

(Repeat Refrain except last line)

Coda:
The life deserving you and me.

we, filipinos, are not keen on personal space and sadly for me, i will be doing a short talk about this topic and my knowledge about personal space is limited. can you share something about your ideas on personal space? thank you.

Privacy to some...

Personal space as in time for one's self is another...

Retreat, nature walk, solo jogging, etc

Going out with friends (old barkadas) without your partner (spouse or kids)...

It's like a personal territory (imaginary or establiushed) but has nothing to do with demographics or locale, bwahehehe  :) :)
