I would like to share with you all, taken today at NJ Skyland Manor Botanical Gardens. After walking around and taking photos, Bob and I rested and played Scrabble under a beautiful Cherry trees. The weather was gordeous with a temperature of 71 deg.F had a great time. Kay I beat Bob in the game hehehe

I must be honest though, I will not be following the NBA games this year since the Nets are not in the playoffs.
What i'm following now is the NHL playoffs, sad enough our NJ Devils lost by the NY Rangers but it's ok. So then, I will be hoping the Rangers will make it all the way to the Finals.
In the last few years of each play-off's games, any team who defeated our all time great Goalie Martin Broduer usually wins the Finals. So we'll see.

The other one is the MBL, the NY Yankees of course, it's hard to tell yet since they're still starting..

Sus same here Bran, that's what my Ninang (where I stayed and grew up with) always told me.
One night when I asked her to help me my mathematics, and O boy did I ever regreted it. Why? I end up sobbing with tears while doing it. What she did was, she made me memorized the multiplication from 1-10 and so forth, then wrote it down. When I made mistake, she hit my head so bad and when I made mistake writing down the correct answer and erased it, she hit me again. I can go on and on and on how she always sermoned me about studies. But I just don't want to remember it again.

Just later in life I realized that she was right it's just that, she could have made it a little gentlier.

My father wasn't that strict because of how he was brought up.
It was my mother who encouraged me well and worked her ass off so I could finish because that was the time that I left my ninang house, just couldn't take it anymore. 

About the compliments by your parents, I don't want to comment on it Bran. It's not my position to judge your parents how they praise their children. I don't know if I will praise or feel sorry. I'll leave it to that, hope you don't mind.

You're right about B.Scott who has a pretty bad past with J.Kidd when he departed the Nets.
I will not deny that B.Scott was a great coach with the Nets  because by far, he was the only NJ Nets coach who brought the team to the Championship games not once but twice in the history of the Nets ever written.

I also like the Nuggets because of K.Mart, he's one of my favorite and entertaining player when he was in the NJ Nets few years ago.

Hi Raquel...thank you for spending time telling us your beautiful story. It's quite long but I did finish it, I enjoyed it except the part with some other filipinas who told you negative things about you and your place. How awful they could say things like that but then again, they are entitled to their own opinion. So let's just understand them, that's all we can do.

We have some similarities, first time I came 7 years ago, I find the Americans I met very courteous, helpful and kind. There's no one I ever met that I could say, they're terrible. Everyone treats me like a new member of their family and offered lots of help like if I need someone to talk to feel free to call, or if you need someone to go shopping with etc. The list are endless especially our neighborhood, everyone seems so pleasant. Our neighbor across the street, we even gave them a copy of our house key to keep watch whenever my hubby and I are away. That's house safe and wonderful where I am now, I have nothing to complain.   And yes, I got the same compliments from my friends who live in NYC but we just make it as a joke, I didn't really pay much attention to it, I just make sure my being hospitable is beyond their comprehension. And so, they love to keep coming back and I love to have them as well.

I think you just hit it right Manong Lindy. This is probably what's going on in Bohol. Too much advertisements about education but didn't realize the effect it will cause to some.
Pardon me, I didn't mean it's bad to encourage children to study, of course they should.
what I mean is those lectures in school should also include education about other brilliant alternatives like farming if there's no job openning after they finish school.
The Agricultural department should be the one to pick this up and encourage them. And tell them that if this is their choice, they will have a huge profit for a living since rice is the number one on demand. Example make an association for rice farming that will educate everyone about what makes it a very important job to do.
Then, educate the land owners too on how to deal with their farmers like the cost of wages and benefits they can get - vice versa.
I know it always sound so simple but in reality people make it so hard but if we all have the will, we all get the benefit of it al.
