Day 217: A Vessel for Graces

Meditation:

Once, Jesus said to me, My gaze from this image is like My gaze from the cross (Diary, 326).

I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature: "Jesus,
I trust in You" (Diary, 327).

My Prayer Response:
Jesus, look at me from the cross, so I may trust in You even more each time I gaze at You portrayed in Your image. I want to keep coming to this image as a vessel for graces. Keep my gaze fixed on You.

Day 216: In My Grace

Meditation:

Know that if you neglect the matter of the painting of the image and the whole work of mercy, you will have to answer for a multitude of souls on the day of judgment (Diary, 154).

Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace (Diary, 313).

My Prayer Response:
Jesus, by the grace that flows from Your image, strengthen and inspire me to proclaim Your mercy to many. Remind me always that the greatness of this image lies in Your grace.

Day 215: A Shield and Shelter

Meditation:

The two rays denote Blood and Water. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls....
These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross.
These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father. Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him (Diary, 299).

My Prayer Response:
May the Blood and Water that gushed forth from Your Heart, Jesus, shield and shelter me with Your mercy. Then the just hand of God shall not lay hold of me.

A pastor was travelling last week, he saw an old man, and gave him a lift. While they were going, the old man said; my son, do you know what happened in Heaven last night?

The pastor was so terrified and hurriedly parked and asked; Sir, are you sleeping? How did you get the information about Heaven?
The Old man said; last night in Heaven God became very angry with man and asked the Angels to blow the trumpet. The angels picked up the trumpets and as they were about to blow it when, Jesus fell down and began to plead in tears. The blood that came out of His hands and body were very fresh. He told God that His death shouldn't be in vain.

God couldn't stand the pains of the saint and the wickedness of the evil ones. So He said; "I AM GIVING THEM THEIR LAST CHANCE."

Jesus then turned to the angels and told them to move down in their numerous numbers to tell the world that:
"THE END IS NEAR, JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON".

The pastor (sweating and crying) asked; sir, how did you know this?
The OLD MAN replied; I am one of the Angels sent
to the World.
Please use every medium of communication to send this message.
No time to waste, Please! And the old man disappeared.

Brethren, this story is real, Christ is coming Soon.
Please REPENT.

Botoy, you said you are ready for war. Have you ever fired a gun, killed a person.
Pray for peace instead

A message from an OLD MAN

At the Hour of Death

Meditation:

I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over [its] enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I Myself will defend it as My own glory (Diary, 48).

My Prayer Response:
Jesus, I rely on Your promises as I venerate Your image that You will defend me in the battle of life and especially at the hour of my death. I pray for a special grace of Your mercy for all those who are in spiritual peril and for those who are dying.

You are what your deep, driving desire is.
   â€" BRIHADARANYAKA UPANISHAD
Desire is the key to life, because desire is power. The deeper the desire, the more power it contains.
Most people start life with many small desires. Their power and vitality trickle away in many different directions. None of their desires is deep enough to contain much power. But there are people whose lives are molded by only a few, consuming desires. Such people usually achieve their goals. Because their desires are unified, their will becomes nearly invincible. To desire something deeply is to will it, and to will is to achieve. If they want to become a great artist, build a bigger pyramid, explain the movements of the planets, they devote their life to that, and usually succeed. Wherever you find great success in life, it is fueled by the intense unification of desires.
But the most successful people of all are the rare men and women like Mahatma Gandhi and Saint Teresa of Avila who have but one desire. All lesser desires have been consumed in the great fire of love for God.

What's Next for Wesley So?

Philippines' #1 chess player Wesley So crushed the competition in the recent Annual Capablanca Memorial Tournament last week. Immdediately right after his victory, the 20-year-old Caviteño was shrouded with praises from thousands of fellow Filipino chess fans all over the world.

So's remarkable triumph in Havana boosted Philippine chess morale; with a lot of young aspiring players worshipping him, making him their idol...
Which really isn't that bad if we ain't talking about religion :)

Just after that monumental but very quick draw So made with Hungarian GM(Grand-Master) Zoltan Almasi, it was clear who would bring home the filthy bacon.

It is fantastically fortunate that the extremely hard work of Wesley So and his US-based coach, GM Susan Polgar has beard fruit, and that such training had not been in vain:)

Perhaps one of the key factors that lead to Wesley's triumph in Havana was his 8th round win against Cuban Grandmaster Leinier Dominguez. Their imbalanced game seemed OK for both sides(black and white), only until Dominguez first faltered. NOTE: at that time, a lot of Hispanic chess blogs were tackling about So especially when he faced Dominguez and the Spanish GM Vallejo Pons. I guess they were intrigued by So's "DOUBLE DEAD" performance when he beat both Dominguez and Pons! Only GM Lazaro Batista Bruzon(who is not related in any way to Batista the WWE wrestler by the way), was able to hold So flawlessly in two games.

So the million dollar question right now is...
What's next for So?

Lazaro Batista Bruzon who drew with Wesley So
in both of their games took 2nd place in the
tournament...
By now, So is currently rated #15 in the FIDE live ratings, which means that So might get even more elite tournament invites. While this is obviously good for the Filipino #1, this also means that the challenges will be tougher. One big challenge for So that I could easily  pinpoint is his arch-nemesis, GM Anish Giri:). It is very well-known that So has a recognizably bad performance against the Dutch-Bangladeshi hybrid which I will not dicuss because I've got a feeling that the majority of Filipino chess fans will crucify me for even mentioning the name Giri:)

Anyways...

A lot of Filipino chess players from the homeland are prasing So right now and are making noise that Wesley So should be given 100% support its national government. And hopefully, So will get the support he needs which will fuel his passion even more to climb to the top of the chess elite.

February 12, 2015, 09:54:34 PM
Life is glorious, but life is also wretched. It is both. Appreciating the gloriousness inspires us, encourages us, cheers us up, gives us a bigger perspective, energizes us. We feel connected. But if that's all that's happening, we get arrogant and start to look down on others, and there is a sense of making ourselves a big deal and being really serious about it, wanting it to be like that forever. The gloriousness becomes tinged by craving and addiction. On the other hand, wretchedness--life's painful aspect--softens us up considerably. Knowing pain is a very important ingredient of being there for another person. When you are feeling a lot of grief, you can look right into somebody's eyes because you feel you haven't got anything to lose--you're just there. The wretchedness humbles us and softens us, but if we were only wretched, we would all just go down the tubes. We'd be so depressed, discouraged, and hopeless that we wouldn't have enough energy to eat an apple. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other. One inspires us, the other softens us. They go together.

February 11, 2015, 08:07:33 PM
It's already the middle of February.

We’ve made resolutions, set goals, dreamed big; and now we are left with what we have right now, and for many of us, there’s a little bit of a let down that comes with that. We want our lives to change for the positive right now, but our minds get caught up in a tailspin of wishful thinking and unhappiness with what is. Whether you’re feeling blue about a relationship, a job, your home, or your finances, I promise you there is always some sort of silver lining. So this week, let’s talk about how to make the best of any situation you may be going through. Check out some tips below to find ways to get through anything with grace and ease.

Be the light. No matter how dark a situation may be, first start by trying to bring light to it. If you have a terribly mean boss or some dysfunction in your family, try to bring forth change, by being the change you wish to see. Negative doesn’t cancel out negative, positive does. Try it out!

Be heard. So many times we stuff down our thoughts and opinions for fear of negative repercussions. Use your voice, stand up for yourself and be heard! Be thoughtful, respectful, and honest, and share your input to promote change.

Be proactive. What can you do right now to make the situation better? Go inward and search for meaningful solutions or quick fixes to give yourself a positive boost. This may also mean, start researching ways to exit the situation or finding an alternative answer.

Be protected. Know where you stand and create boundaries. How much are you willing to take before you make the ultimate change? It’s great to always know where you stand so that you’re clear when it’s time to move on.

Be ready. Just like it’s great to know what your limits are, it’s also great to be mindful and ready on when the timing is right to make that change. If you’re wanting a new career, start exploring what makes your heart sing so that when the time is right you can transition with ease. The same goes for any other situation you’re dealing with. Preparation is key.

I hope these tips help you with any challenging situations you may be facing. I do have one caveat here. These tips are for you in the notion that you or your loved ones aren’t in any harm or danger; they simply are for bumps in the road. If you find yourself in a scary situation beyond your control, please seek help and aid from sources you trust. Have a great week everyone!

Gautama Buddha

Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, was born in the sixth century B.C. in what is now modern Nepal. His father, Suddhodana, was the ruler of the Sakya people and Siddhartha grew up living the extravagant life of a young prince. According to custom, he married at the young age of sixteen to a girl named Yasodhara. His father had ordered that he live a life of total seclusion, but one day Siddhartha ventured out into the world and was confronted with the reality of the inevitable suffering of life. The next day, at the age of twenty-nine, he left his kingdom and newborn son to lead an ascetic life and determine a way to relieve universal suffering.

For six years, Siddhartha submitted himself to rigorous ascetic practices, studying and following different methods of meditation with various religious teachers. But he was never fully satisfied. One day, however, he was offered a bowl of rice from a young girl and he accepted it. In that moment, he realised that physical austerities were not the means to achieve liberation. From then on, he encouraged people to follow a path of balance rather than extremism. He called this The Middle Way.

That night Siddhartha sat under the Bodhi tree, and meditated until dawn. He purified his mind of all defilements and attained enlightenment at the age of thirty-five, thus earning the title Buddha, or "Enlightened One". For the remainder of his eighty years, the Buddha preached the Dharma in an effort to help other sentient beings reach enlightenment

Guide Me Through These Dark Days
Maureen Pratt

O Lord, I am torn up with grief.
I know you are there, but I cannot see past
my sorrow and tears.
Be with me, Lord, and do not take
my unhappiness to heart.
Rather, work within me to guide me through
these dark days
and bring your light to my life,
so that I may see your goodness, even in my mourning.

Help & Support / Re: Facebook attack on Virgin Mary
January 29, 2015, 07:25:18 AM
Dear Mr.Rene Econg,

Thank you for protesting the Facebook Page that says the Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted Jesus. God bless you!

Please help us turn this into a huge campaign.

SHARE with your friends.

Just forward the below link to your contacts, or copy and paste the message below the dotted line into an email to all your friends. Change it as you wish. But PLEASE do it now so you won’t forget.

Defend Jesus against His enemies!

Let us snowball this action and stop this horrible blasphemy!

Be assured of my prayers and thanks again for helping out.

******************************************************************************************

Hi everyone,

I’d like to ask you to send a respectful message of protest to Facebook for a very offensive page they continue to allow on their site.

It’s called “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted.” …aborted who?... Jesus! I can’t think of anything more deserving of a protest. We must petition Facebook to enforce their own “hate speech” policy. This offensive page must go.

Won’t you join me? And then you too can SHARE this fast and easy way to defend Jesus and His mother. You’ll feel great about it.

Help & Support / Facebook attack on Virgin Mary
January 29, 2015, 07:23:31 AM

WARNING!
…this is deeply disturbing…

They say The Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted Jesus

Help me do something about it.

Dear Newsmax Reader,

I deeply regret to inform you that right now there is a page on Facebook, with the headline:

          The Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted

That is the most terrible insult to Jesus and Mary that I have ever seen or heard!

So I am rushing this message out to you, because I believe you are a person who dearly loves Jesus, the Son of God, and Mary, His mother.

And I’m asking you to help us defend their honor by taking this action:

Tell Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg:
“Take Down This Page!”
Saying, “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted”

Will you?  Please listen to me:

I can’t take it anymore!  Because...

Jesus and Mary continue to be
brutally attacked on Facebook!

Let me quickly give you the full story:

We protested this same brutal attack upon Jesus and Mary in July of 2013.

And in response to our protest, Facebook took the offending page down.

Yes â€" they took it down…for a day or two.

Then it went back up.

And right now â€" today â€" the insulting page is still up.

There simply wasn’t enough pressure
kept on Mr. Zuckerberg.  It’s that simple.

So what must we do?  You know! Yes!

Keep the pressure ON! Protest NOW!

You love Jesus.  And naturally you love His most pure mother.

So I challenge you to show your love by protesting this blasphemous Facebook page.

Are you with me?

Will you join me in this protest?  And then get everyone on your email contact list to join you?

My friend, to express your indignant yet respectful protest, here’s the message we’ll send to Mr. Zuckerberg:

“Please enforce your hate speech policy and remove the “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted” page from your site.

It offends over a billion Christians worldwide. Facebook should not be a platform for bigotry.  Mr. Zuckerberg, please take down this page!”

Tell Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg:
        “Take Down This Page!”
Saying, “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted”

If you will join us in this peaceful protest, we will be able to send to Mr. Zuckerberg a pile of at least 125,000 petitions.

(Think of that! So many reams of paper to list all those names. Now that’s a goal.)

And just imagine what will happen when a UPS driver off-loads this pile of protests at the Facebook lobby at 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California!

Mr. Zuckerberg and his Board of Directors are going to feel tremendous pressure to follow their own Community Standards guidelines.

So let’s get those 125,000 petitions!

How about you?

Tell Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg:
        “Take Down This Page!”
Saying, “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted”

Oh friend of Jesus and Mary, this “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted” Facebook page is a vile and vulgar offense against God Almighty and the honor of Jesus and Mary.

If you agree, PROTEST NOW, and then be sure to SHARE this protest.

With God’s help we will be able to get this hateful and blasphemous page taken down permanently.

Will you?

We must stop the giant social media site Facebook from continuing to carry this brutal attack on Jesus and Mary:

Yes, it’s hard to believe, but the page has a top banner headlined with the blasphemous message…

“Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted.”

That blasphemy is bad enough, but…

…it is matched in blasphemous messaging by an image of Our Lord Jesus Christ as a fetus:
complete with umbilical cord (as if still in the womb, hence He should’ve been aborted)
with a bloody crown of thorns
with His five bleeding Sacred Wounds of the Crucifixion
and with the word ‘YAHWE’ tattooed onto His arm; evidently to make sure people understand exactly of Whom they are referring: the Son of God and His most holy mother.
On top of that, Mary is pictured…

… with a cigar hanging out of her mouth.

And last but not least…

…a smaller picture on the left shows a traditionally veiled “Mary,” nine months pregnant, with her robe pulled up over her most holy womb, swearing with a four-letter word as she looks with implied anger, irritation, and revolt at her pregnant belly.

My friend, how can we just ignore this? We can’t!

Godless, impure, sexual, and mocking language, comments, and opinions are made throughout the entire page especially directed against Jesus, Mary, and Christianity.

So we must defend their honor.

Tell Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg:
        “Take Down This Page!”
Saying, “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted”

We’ve been successful in getting YouTube to remove blasphemous videos in the past! We can do it with Facebook too.

Remember: The Facebook Community Standards page affirms:

“Facebook does not permit hate speech, but distinguishes between serious and humorous speech. While we encourage you to challenge ideas, institutions, events, and practices, we do not permit individuals or groups to attack others based on their…religion….” [our emphasis]

And yet, here is an entire page devoted to blaspheming and mocking Mary’s holy and divine pregnancy…this is definitely a page based on attacking Christianity in general and the Catholic religion in particular.

And, it seems obvious, with the evident intent to demean and insult the faith of Catholics and Christians.

And to abort Jesus, the Lord?!!  Words cannot express…!!!

Isn’t that "hate speech"?

It is in my book.

Thank you for speaking out. And may Our Lord Jesus Christ reward you!

And don’t forget to SHARE this petition with your contact list.

This Is Heaven

Here's how I define heaven for me. Heaven is a state of existence that let's me experience the following:

Beam - Enjoy my life immensely; feel deep appreciation and gratitude for this experience; laugh and smile

Harmonize - Maintain a deeply positive, loving, and supportive relationship with my reality

Shine - Develop my skills, talents, and habits to genius level; shamelessly express and share my creativity and brilliance

Explore - Search, study, travel, learn, and discover, guided by my curiosity, desires, and intuition

Open - Open my heart; actively invite and experience delicious connections that I desire

Grow - Become more capable and free; release and shed fears and limitations

Prosper - Create and enjoy tremendous prosperity and abundance

No need to wait for an afterlife. This is achievable here and now.

I am enjoying heaven right now. I am a happy man. I have everything I need and want. When I was young, I never thought that I can achieve my dreams. And now I am living the reality that I live a life of abundance.

Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart

Live free, and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
