Aduy,
You may reach me for more info about the coop.  Looking forward to hear from you.

For me, Bohol is not yet ready to go with the "BIG" transformation. People across all walks of life need to have a kind of "value orientation" to embrace the change the technocrats have envisioned.

Take for example the area of tourism.  If we are serious with our promotion efforts as a new tourim hub of the country, all initiatives provincewide must be geared towards that agenda.  When we speak of orientation, the people must learn the impact of his own individual behavior and attitude vis-a-vis what we intend to achieve.  All sectors must cooperate, there is no point for division.

Kada bata, hamtung o tigulang makaantigo gyod mo-abi abi sa mga bisita (either local tourist or foreign).  Like in the corporate world, even its own staff are considered as internal customers which deserve to be given that quality and customer satisfaction.

There should be a kind of teamwork among families, relatives, neighbors, private institutions and government implementing agencies.  Walang parti-partidos, walang kampo-kampo, dili mosupport kay dili kaalyado, etc.etc.

What probably be given more credence is information campaign province wide, a regular consultation - thereby empowering each town on how they could contribute to overall agenda, that of making Bohol stride to success.

Regards.
Jun

Note: medyo marami pa at taas taas pa akong ishare in the coming days.

Hi Graziey and all,

I like your candidness since the forum's existence started. And you are one of the most admired due to your openness and being straightforward without any malice; and so with others whom  called "self-empowered" people.

"Self-empowered" people are those who live life what they've wanted without intimidated of others regardless of how people see in them.  These are people who knew who they are, of their imperfections and the "real"  ME or YOU.

It is just so sad that there are people who cannot accept the realities and still living in a "comfort zone" though the realities speak of it.  What is offensive when it was not meant to offend for a reason and when it speaks of the truth".

Taking from the book of Salzman " Self-Empowerment" , we will only grow if we accept all the "truths" in us.  If the truth hurts, then we have not reached the stage of growing up.

Just want to share " a value " not in the defense of Macky and Grazie; for I knew they are one of the few individuals who have that sense of humility nor have the least intention to inflict pain to others.

Peace to all.

Hello Aduy,

BOWACCC was born in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and registered in the Cooperatives Development Authority (CDA) in the Philippines. We're the first Cooperative based in ME registered with CDA though there were informal finance groups sprouted in the past elsewhere.

Should you need to know more, you may contact me at CP# 502869910.  The next monthly meeting for the Saudi groups (EP) will be March 12, 2009 evening (dinner time).

Looking forward to hear from you.

Rgds.

Leoello,
It's been long time that you were not able to note on my reply to you regarding your search for relatives.

How are you related to Tiyo Alipio Vallejos of Lungsudaan ( iyang anak si Engr. Edwin Vallejos ) the Provincial Engineer.  Their lineage is kamag-anak nako sa father side.

On Ello, duna koy best friend nga Ello, si Judge Ma. Elisa Ello-Ochoco ( batch mi niya sa KB Federated days - she being the KB President of Corella and myself sa Anda ).

Just let me know should you wish to reunite or get in touch with them.

Glacier,

On membership, medyo ubay-ubay na sad but our preference would be on the quality of the members thru their commitment and not on the quantity.  Unsaon man ning daghan unya sa una ra og katapusan ra motongha, magpakita o maghulog?

So quantifying the membership is not the major benchmark for inducing a decision to join.  It is about the vision.

So far, we are more than halfway for the requirements of opening a micro finance bank; and we are working now to venture into revenue generating projects ( business/entrepreneurial activity ) in the name of the cooperative.

You're welcome anytime.

Regards.
Jun Ayag

Note:  Should anybody need a presentation about cooperative, please PM me so I could forward this material.
#111

calle and graziey,

Thank you for your intentions.  You are welcome anytime. It's really affordable.  You have both subscribed amount and savings.  We have mutual aid program for members in event of death of direct family members and for hospitalization.

Kung maghulog kag ginagmay dili lang gyod mahibal-an nga modako.  Mas expensive pa gud kon sige kag palit og pre-paid load? hehehe.

Inig uli na pohon (very soon) Grazie, atong ayoson tong refund from the initial payment we gave for the Corella lot aron maformalize na imong membership with BOWACCC.

Just let me know kun kanus-a magpadala ang membership form aron ma-accomplish.

Hi Kiamoy, musta? also to Mocha.  Maayo man ning lagaan kay daghang mahibaloan. It is in travel where you could experience "real learnings".
#113

Hello All,

Thanks for the warm compliments.

(Luck speaks when a chat with the President was captured.)  It was on this photo that I thanked PGMA of all what she has been giving to Bohol which attributed to what Bohol it is today.  As you can see, the President was enthusiastically attentive listening the great things happening to Bohol that she even responded " Di ba kilala na ang Bohol ngayon?".

We were among the few who were given photo opportunities during the President's official visit in Saudi ( the travel - 8 hours (to and from) for the invitation by our very active Labor Attache David Des Dicang was worth it ).

On the membership of the cooperative, everybody is most welcome.  The financial implications for membership is very affordable which is equivalent only to almost a dollar ($3 ).  One may subscribe for the coop authorized shares up to 20-25% and a monthly obligatory savings of a thousand pesos (Php 1K ) or equivalent to just ($26 ).

We are envisioning to put up a microfinance bank where small entrepreneurs could be assisted like what the Bangladeshi Nobel awardee has advocated.

For those interested parties, please indicate your interest by sending emails to my yahoo addy (junayag@yahoo.com) and will provide you on the formalities.

Looking forward to be with you on this endeavor.

Best regards.

Am impressed as much I salute on the initiative to what Madame Bea Jr. has done to Bohol.

As I've read the article and analyzed how the community development project evolved, I've noticed  that there was a flaw as to the process involved in getting started.  A  forum must have taken place where noble plans have to be presented to the public, solicit their ideas wherein feedback shall be taken as  strategic basis in developing a project for a given locality.

Not because that she has the capacities nor have all the resources to synergize a development that a so called "consultative process" with the concerned community which is the direct beneficiary is not required.  Such absence is tantamount to disrespect to the sentiments and whatever beliefs of the folks.  Hence, Madame Bea should extend patience of the prevailing predicament as this was prompted due to her shortcoming in introducing "participative process" to induce change.

But I believe on the sincerity of Madame Bea.  I just pray that she would not be swayed by pessimistic views but rather strengthen her advocacy to be able to meet realization and success for her passion - that of building a self-sustaining community through heritage preservation and eco-tourism.

May God bless you Madame.

Glacier,

Daghang salamat.  The nomination was more than enough to acknowledge of what is good and beautiful.

May I enjoin everyone to uphold advocacies for the betterment of our brethren...
#118

Bran,

Thank you kaayo sa imong pagdayeg. All I could humbly share here in TB is that , there will be always a brighter and better day tomorrow if we will work for it in the right way.  We should not forget our roots, the advesities instead they must be taken as a guiding inspiration to succeed. " My being less privileged in the past had helped shaped my aspirations without sacrificing positive values and virtues.  I am just so sad that there are individuals who lived in backward thoughts.

To all of you, daghang salamat.
#119

Friends, Ladies & Gentlemen,

I am so humbled of your support, the manifestations of acceptance and sense of belongingnesss here in TB.

In my whole life, this is the first time that my reputation is being maligned; though I haven't done to hurt somebody nor intervening other's business.

Thank you all for your friendship.  I am touched.

Jun Ayag

Note:  I have delivered an Open Letter sharing values and virtues as my reply to hotandsunnybohol's deviant behavior on a separate thread " Jun Ayag is Renominated...."

Hello hotandsunnybohol,

Whatever your intentions, you've manifested a bitter and dark side of you that do not thrive in a civilized world.

God bless you.

Fashion Trend / Re: The Barong Tagalog
January 25, 2009, 12:38:54 AM

Nice to acknowledge that there are people who do not mind being typified as something "Filipino".  Such gesture of styling the barong tagalog manifests a kind of respect for Filipino ingenuity and culture.

Hello Bran Lorenz,
It's been a long time...you may reach my nephew (Dr. Gerome V. Escota ) specializing in Internal Medicine at Chicago's Rush Hospital.  Note: contact number may be sent to which email addy? Rgds.
#122
An Open Letter,

Thank you Grazie7y and for others who believed in me, who trusted and defended me from people maligning my reputation.  I should have not responded , but my conscience dictates to sow enlightenment to those  whose perspectives  are not in line with what is noble and beautiful.

First, may I share a cliche:

"Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that  something inside of them was superior to circumstance.  Only those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience life's deepest joy, true fulfillment.  And it is only with the "heart" that one can see rightly what is invisible to the eye".

Throughout my existence, I've never blown my horn on what I've achieved and contributed.  I've remained silent for so long despite the numerous people I've touched until such time that a belief was instilled in my deepest core of my being that awards or citations must be recognized for they are the manifestations of gratitude from whom we've touched either through our advocacies and support.

I do understand that individuals who speak ill feelings of others are bitter to the world and their surroundings for they fail to accept that there are more sincere and better persons who find meaning in helping and loving others unconditionally that do not mirror / typify their own identities.

Quoting a line from Ayessa, "Our backward thoughts keep our feet from moving forward". Yes, it is true; for before we get judgmental of others, we must take a look at ourselves and ask who am I.  When we assess and accept our own imperfections, we tend to understand the limitations and shortcomings of others.

Much of the universal values and virtues that affirm our human dignity are derived from the value of "self-respect".  To know one's worth and to know the worth of others is the true way to earn respect.

Though we have no ethical duty to hold all people in high-esteem or admire them, but we are morally obligated to treat everyone with respect regardless of who they are and what they have.

To you hotandsunnybohol, thank you for displaying your true colors for this gave me an opportunity to share my humble words of wisdom that " no one will dare to cast a stone to a tree which bear no fruits".  With such mentality,Bohol may never be hot and sunny anymore.

God bless

#126

Hello Benny,

I love your postings, much more can't help being carried with emotions reflecting childhood days spent for survival.  Kiamoy is correct with the passage that  people changed not the place .. not the memories.

I've visited your flickersite, curious to know more about you and reconnect what my Mom told me of the days in Jagna with your Mom Nellie ( while she was with the Colegio dela Medalla Milagrosa ) studying and got sneak visits to be with the kids ( while we were left in Mabini at that time ).

Thanks for the opportunity of having shared your family's time with my Mom which helped her to move on a direction envisioned for her children even at a cost of not being with them.  I wish my Mom would get a chance to meet your Mom in the very near future.

Asa man si Mama Nellie nimo ron?  My Mama Besing will be celebrating her 77th birthday this coming 22nd January 2009. How nice to reunite them even via a telephone conversation. Mom is residing in  Union City, USA with my sister.  Would appreciate if you could provide me with details on where we could reach your Mom.

Thanks so much.

There must be some balancing acts to be done (i.e. cost benefit analysis, thorough needs' analysis, financial literacy, etc) by the    'to-be-new-administration"  to attain economic success where opportunities are fairly and evenly distributed among many and not being monopolized by one or two enterprising families.  New bred of entrepreneurs must be encouraged in every localities to spur development.

I haven't read the whole thread.  Yes, there is still a chance to be happy in marriage after the husband or wife has cheated if there would be wholehearted forgiveness and acceptance. But what dwells in most cases is PRIDE. So, seldom you find success stories on this predicament.

Mike,

Thank you for putting TB among the new initiatives that are shaping now in Bohol, for without, there would be lesser venues to express and present noble ideas and effect change in our community.

Let us join forces to bring that needed positive changes.  It is with sure optimism that with our cohesive efforts, realization of the dreams would not be a far cry.

It takes the initiative of creative people to bring artistry without altering the essence of the celebration...sa sunod nga Sandugo festival... we hope to infuse some enhancements...
#191

Grazie, daghan kaayong salamat; your donations (of books and magazines) will surely make a difference in the lives of HIA students. May God give you more returns...

Missing you and the company....thanks for being nice.

On your sister's concern, let me check what is best for her... but there are more opportunities for men that I could be of assistance especially we are a solution provider including manpower supply to two of the world's giants Saudi Aramco and SABIC.

Will certainly communicate with you... soon.
