Is it just me or am I the only one who feels like I am a super hero here and if I attend I would devulge my secret identity? This will be like the meeting of the 'Fantastic Four' meets the 'X-men' meets Sigbin II meets a whole bunch of other people without their costumes. So totally cool. I would be in if I could use my secret powers, like bi-locate and stuff.

karate chop (that was for an action packed kick!) hiya!!!

Love Talk / Re: George's New Home
September 26, 2007, 04:48:26 AM
George has grown. Dili na siya bata. I don't need a booster seat for him in the car anymore  :'(. My baby is growing up. To answer you Sigbin, I don't think that they will allow me to take George on the plane and into the US. Bummer. He seems ready though, I raised him well.

I reaized that and if it wasn't such a financial convenience (given that man and wife will actually stay together till death do they part), I'm not interested in getting married. I just want companionship and it's not like i'm 19 trying lure a man to take care of me, my biological clock is ticking and especially in my line of work, good men that actually stick around is an concearn for women like me. Am I in a rush, not really, but I am rethinking more than just my love life.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Buhi pa intawon ko!

My report date is on the 4th of October but I don't know where yet. In true hippieinchains fashion, I will be moving to my new home without knowing where it will be. When I moved to Germany, my orders said Europe. All I want is something new, that's all.

Thanks for all the kind wishes.

Can't wait to go on a road trip accross America. I have made it from California to San Antonio, TX via Grayhound and hitch hike. I want to just get in a car and see America, go to a few concerts and meet awsome people! :D

Anonymous Diary Blog / Bumps in this *%%$^&$% asphalt

They placed new asphalt on the road right in front of our baracks. The job is terrible! I was not aware of this and one mornng on my way to work, i slipped on the stairs and caught my footing in the wet asphalt. I am now very prficient in the art of American curse. As i was exerciseing this newly found tonuge, horrified day care attendants were covering the ears of the easily influenced children in the children's day care. As I limped away from the scence I created (and the snickers of the day care personnel), I was thinking, this is how my life is right now, the asphalt, the snickers, the awed and the astound faces of the audience that i just happened to have before me. Ladies and gentlemen, this is my life  ;D.

I am still trying to get a new duty station. My time here in Germany is up. I put in for a 30 day extention, my slot for hygine school has been taken due to a mishap on the part of somebody who was processing my paperwork but oh well, just another bump in the road. I have 2 years to decide what I want to do with the rest of my life and who I want to spend it with. I am getting a little older, all my peers are getting married and having babies around me. This used to bother me but now I realize that there is now real rush. What should I do. I am still stuck in the damn asphalt. Still finding my nitch.

Introduce Yourself / Buhi pa intawon ko!
August 20, 2007, 05:59:08 AM
I know, I know... I should let my friends know if I am still alive. I know that it's been a long time since I have checked in with any of you guys and I know Sigbin must be worried about me by now. Just been having some changes in the family that needed my attention. I just got informed a month ago that i was going to be stationed back to the states only to be informed two months later that my class date has been moves to next year. That would mean that i woulndt be going anywhere and that would leave a very undesirable effect to my career and my life. I looked into the matter and there has been a mistake made which I cannot disclose at the moment but I am confident that I am moving back to the states before the year is over which will be very good for me. I know that this might now make that much sense but I can only give so much information without getting in trouble, so bare with me.
Take care my friends and wish me luck!
love all around  :D

Introduce Yourself / Re: More stories to come....

Delighted by the compliments!

There is nothing more enchanting to me than colours and poetry.

I'm in a mellowdramatic mood today.

I cried and laughed hard in a 10 minute period.

so glad to be alive.

Thanks everybody. I needed the reassurance. I'm moving to a new duty assignment and i was only given a month's notice. It wasn't enough time for me to emotionally prepare myself. It reminds me of when I migrated to the states for that first time. I had to leave everything and here I am again leaving everything that I have grown familiar too. I knew that it would come eventually, but I didn't know that it ould be this soon.
This is the life i chose. And as much heartache that comes with it, it has it's perks. The traveling, the people, the respect, the experience. It's all worth it. This is where I am needed and I will stay here until it is time for me to move on.

It's not as glamorous as people make it out to be but the discounts that you get at stores are a perk  ;D. I hate to meet wonderful people just to leave them in a year or so and to have them leave me. I've been in and out of love so many times it's like stabbing yourself, over and over you know these people are going to leave you so why go through the whole thing again? Hope, I guess. Hope that this time he'll stay. This time we won't move on, this time I won't be alone. It's sad and sometimes I even think of myself a little pathetic holding on to something so illusive. But okay, I'm a romantic, and there is nothing much I can do about it. That's who I am.

Anonymous Diary Blog / Moving on

I think the hardest part of my job is moving on. Being so far away from home, we in the military make our own family, black, white, brown,purple,yellow... just like out real family, we don't chose who our family is. So when it's time to move on, it's like leaving your family again, and contrary to what people say, you never move on. They are with you forever, just like your family is with you forever.

Philippine Laws / Re: 91 Million Filipinos (wow)

haaay., one thing for sure., overcrowded na ang pilipinas..and it's not good for the economy jud., millions na pud ang jobless, thousands ang out-of-school youths...dapat naa nay strict policy ang gov't and DOH about s family planning...

I honestly think that it isn't our large population that is hurting our economy. A large population is a good thing as long as you have the right "management" ( at the moment I can't think of a better word, but I guess you get the point).

My problem is that I want to do everything. I realize that my lola was right when she told me that I can be anything that I want ot do as long as i stay on track. I can either go into Journalism for the Army. The only thing is that I feel that I won't have the freedom to write what I like and how I like. So I ruled that out. I can be a teacher. I love mentoring and trying to guide younger people. It is very rewarding. I also want to go into interior design. That sounds like something that I want to do just because I like it.

This may make me sound like a big flake but this is me right now. Confused but not quite lost yet. I know that when the time is right, I will get to where I need to go. Kind of like a subway.

General Topic / Re: Wanted: Philosophers
July 13, 2007, 04:41:38 AM
I hate to be so blunt, but what are you talking about? I think that the Filipino can be the most philosophical in the planet. Our problem is that we don't document the conversations that tatay and nanay have with us. I think the Filipino way of life is a philisophy in itself. Take it easy, work hard, take care of family. Those are our truths.  We live by it. that is why we are here, to take care of each other and take it easy. Life is simple, yet we as a people like to think deep. I guess because living simple gets boring, but is does give you depth if you know that there is so much to discover in simplicity. It's just looking at a detaied piece from a far distance.

Sorry, I have the tendancy to ramble.

i think that if there was any humor intended here, it would have benifited from a more aural approach.
i love the names. i love being bis-dak (samtang nag-type ko'g inenglis).

That I am. I'm at crossroads right now. The military life is good for a single soldier but I feel like it's about time for a career change.

I don't know about the military images. I have to wear these damn things enough as it is. I don't need to be posting them around. Don't want to give everybody the impression that I'm some sort of G.I. (gigil intawon, lol) Jane. Like most young people, I am still trying to find my nitch and I don't need the added association. Not sayng that I don't like where I am and what I do, I just want to be able to move from one chapter of my life to the next without being "typed casted" (unsay pagtuo, Hollywod?)

George is my bamboo-American friend ( I try to be as politically correct as possible). He appears in many of my pictues and videos.
#126
There is a reason why I allowed my pictures to be posted in this forum. The last time I went home I noticed how body concious everybody is. I am all for looking and feeling good but I don't think it should be at the expense of; 1.) your health and, 2.) the confidence of the people around you.

So, people have different body structures. It happens. Get over it. Don't make anybody feel bad because they can't fit into the kiddie section in Shoppers Mart. A woman's body should showcase her personality. That is beauty. Being yourself and being confident about it. Nobody gets remembered for trying to fit the mold. To make an imprint, you should make the mold. What better way to do so than to be yourself!

Introduce Yourself / More stories to come....

I will share some of the craziness that I call life with my fellow Bol-anons.
Just kind of busy right now between work and school. But I can't wait to do some recreational writing.

Hugs for all!!!

I think I was only 20 when I left Bohol, and I was terrified.
Since then I have been romping and roaming, soul searching and partying hard. When Uncle Sam's field rep said that 'Uncle Sam wants you!' I said 'Sure, why not?".
So here I am, in Germany, working as a dental assistant with an assigned riffle.

Right now I am watching a s**tty French Film with naked women in a bath tub. I didn't know that it was going to be French when I Borrowed the damn thing. Did I mention that it's not that good.

Thanks for making this website. It's like having a piece of home at my finger tips.

Salamat jamo!

Ms. Lungay has been one of my personal role models. As a young teenager, I was struggling to find my nitch, to find a role model, to find a home. She was a woman strong enough for me to look up to. Her work is remarkable! It reflects who she is and what she stands for- women, beauty, family, strength and Bohol. Oh how she loves Bohol!
