HI, GUY!

UB IS HAVING AN ALUMI HOMECOMING THIS JULY IN TIME FOR TBTK. I HOPE YOU CAN COME, TOO.

UB IS DOING GOOD. STILL RECOVERING (RECONSTRUCTING/RENOVATING BUILDINGS) FROM THE FIRE YEARS AGO. AS FOR ITS INSTRUCTION/COURSES, ITS INNOVATING TO KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES.

IT'S SUFFERING, THOUGH, FROM MAJOR BAD PROPAGANDA THROUGH THE INTERNET THAT'S HURTING MOST OF MY KAPAMILYA. SOME ARE TRUE, SOME ARE SUBJECTIVE CRITICISMS, SOME ARE LIES. JUST LIKE ANY COMMUNITY WHERE PEOPLE HURT EACH OTHER THROUGH CHISMIS, IT'S HAPPENING TO UB. IT PAINS ME THOUGH THAT IT'S HAPPENING. BUT IT'S GOOD THAT IT HAPPENED, TOO. IN EVERY PAIN, THERE IS A LESSON TO LEARN.

take a look at this site, dong bran:

http://www.phase-eight.com/the_coccyx.php

tell me what you think. the woman there is me. me. me.
#111
dong, thanks for the recommendation. nahayagan pod ko. i'm actually doing my research now. i'm reading this book on pain, titled "Your Pain is Real." It's by an NYU Neorologist and pain-management expert.

since i have been to different practitioners (and nobody has given my pain a name), i finally wrote down a pain diary to describe my pain in detail... what area, when it occurs and its frequency. i plan to give it to the doctor soon.

days ago, i accidentally met a low back pain doctor here in tagbilaran. he might be able to help. try lang. i want him to look into my diary and read the book i'm reading.

dong, i also learned from a site that fractured coccyx has relations to pain, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia... i read through the site and the patient there was me. i'll post the url soon if i stumble into the site again. i printed it out though. i'll bring it to the doctor, too.

thanks again, dong.

thanks for the support everyone. bisan layo mo, i feel the support. dili na ko maghilak-hilak ani. thanks. you're all great blessings.   :)

Mel, I know you are a very educated woman, what Lorenzo is telling sounds good but really costly. Do you believe in faith healers? Kanang  doktor laway? I have myself treated with a pain in my elbow (parehas ba sa tennis arm), ang mananambal ra ang naka cure. Si nong Demi taga Kasbo, Guidnulman. He keep on massaging the painful part and after half an hour it was gone.
He will also tell if your complains can be treated by a common medical person.
I gave him (1,000) Phil pesos, out of joy and gratitude which he declined because it was too much.
Try if you are interested.

Manay

sa akong condition karon? i'll try anything. hehe! bitaw, napiang ko sauna, si boss entong ang nakaayo. sus, gakaon man to siya og inun-unan ato. unya niundang siya ug kaon. samtang sige ug usap, nangluwa siya og gihaplas sa akong tiil. gihilot niya. naayo man pod. hmmm.

nothing beats the power of faith... on the person, on my self, on the unseen force from above... mao nay mabuhat sa atong huna-huna og pagtoo. hmmm.

Here's a funny one I got in the email just now:

I've learned in life that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is STALK them and hope they would PANIC and GIVE IN. Bwahahaha!

Hala! unsa kahay psychology ana. nahitabo na nako!

Naay nag "stalk" nako sa una.

Kini akong nobela.

He said he did that seven times. Since dugay man ko ni-uli, sige siya tawag sa phone og long distance. When I got home, magsige siya call nako. Ako siya, tubagon pero makapungot man, so awayon ra pod nako. Then I went abroad na pod a month later. Then when i got home, he'd go to the office. Mag-tambay siya sa gawas sa portahan.

Then, i thought maundang siya if i'll go out with him and talk to him. I did go out with him. He was married and was getting an annulment at that time. (Annulled na siya karon). In fairness niya, gwapo siya. We were high school friends, actually. Nanguyab pud nako to siya sa unsa.

Ako siya gi-amigo. Feeling nako, tagaan na lang ug chance. Pero he turned out, he was weird. Affected tingali sa iyang problema. Mao diay to. He wanted someone to comfort him daw. Someone na "kadangpan." Someone nga "mosalo." Hayyy! Nabuang ako beauty. Dili ko catcher! Ako siya gibalibaran.

After ato, nisamot siya og "stalk." Ako siya gi-away. Dugay pud siya niundang, uy. Manawag bisan kadlawong dako - maghilakhilak. We talked and shook hands. Nahuman ra man pod iyang problema. Good for him.

I worked with Cesar Montano before sa movie nga Muro Ami. Fresh grad ko atong panahona. I worked in the Art Department; taga-himo og costume and props. Enjoy ko kay gwapo si cesar. bwhahaha!

Apan, maot man to nga experience, uy. Abi nako nga sa showbiz, mga artista ra ang intrigahon, apilon man diay  pud ang mga people behind the scene. I was a film major.

jan, sisig? it's a favorite pinoy pulutan that originated from pampanga. it's made of pork skin (head or otherwise), ears, and liver sauteed with garlic, chili peppers, and onions. seasoned with tuyo and calamansi. some people like to put chicharon on top; while some put mayonnaise on their sisig- depende lang sa recipe nila.

great reflection bran.

another insight about the mustard seed is that it can be very small but as spice, it can be very strong.

as a child, i used to have this little pendant - a little crystal ball with a mustard seed inside. and it often reminded me of my grandfather's favorite bible verse that says, "if ye have faith as large as the mustard seed, ye can move mountains.."

i lost that pendant a long time ago  but the lesson is still here in my head...

5. we get to pretend we're doing something at the office.... bwahahaha!

Hay, I miss the days having roomies. I lived in a dorm at the University of the Philippines as a freshman. My roomie was a softball player so she's out most of the time to practice. I didn't get to bond with her much since we had other sets of friends. But we were good friends.

Then my friends, my sister and I rented an apartment during my later college days. I miss having girl friends all the time. We eat, watch movies, do chores, talk, laugh, dance, sing together at home. Go to church, shop, watch theater, concerts together. Nothing beats the feeling of being accepted, loved, appreciated" by friends.

"I belonged!" That was a great feeling.

Mel, so you are having pain in your lower extremity, legs, thighs as well?

Mel, that kind of pain is symptomatic for possible LDD (lumbar disc disease), the most common form is called Sciatica.

Mel, you said you had Xrays, X-rays are good but they are not efficient. That is old style method of diagnosis, already.

Ask your physician to have MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), and CT scan.

Bran.

Another doctor told me to get MRI but I have not went through it.

I think I'll just write another nobela, or a pain diary, no, then show it to the doctors.

This may help.... hmmm.

Ikawman jud witness Day Melrose sa mga tawo nga moanha sa injong compound so na witness jud ni nimo since chilhood days nga Caigget is a part of Boholano Culture not just history.

Gilaslas man to ijang liog. Hay!

Daghan mang hadlok nga istorya. Pero Caingget is still a charming place. It holds wonderful memories of people - young and old- who experienced friendship, love, adventure (ahum, unsa kaha!), and more adventures amongst its rustic, rugged ambiance.

HERE's MY NOBELA

Hi, bran! i think i need to tell you this. nobody understands me. people think i just have low pain tolerance. but no! they don't know what i'm going through. when i feel pain, i get so depressed.

Maybe you can help me.

The doctor's had different opinions on my condition.

One said I might have juvenile arthritis. But she just laughed at me saying that arthritis are for old people. I felt so down since I was in pain and the doctor was just laughing at me.

Then I went to a physical therapist. He said, I have muscle spasms caused by mild scoliosis. So I had physical therapy for a while. I wasn't relieved. Years after, the same doctor said, it's not scoliosis but just pain caused by bad positioning so he gave me a corset, some sort of a back brace. It didn't work.

I went to a mayotherapist in Manila. He just gave me one major "realignment" of my bones by stretching my body.  I felt a little better. But after several months, I had major pain all over again.

Then, I went to  see an ortho in Cebu. He was thinking that I might have ankylosing spondylitis. But it turned out wrong. No further consultation followed since I was out of the country for some time.

I had acupuncture. I have body massage. I visit NugaBest, that mechanical chiropractor bed with heat. None so far have truly helped me ease my pain.

Then I had several x-rays. One film showed a broken tail-bone. The doctor said, it's not alarming. But I thought otherwise. But since he's the doctor, I said nothing. As I read through several articles on pain, some say old fractures can still cause pain although it has healed over time. As I understand it, the brain may still send signals telling the body that it is painful. I don't know anything further than that.

I feel pain all over- from my neck down to my legs and ankles. But I think it starts somewhere on my lower back/hips. I first experienced pain in 1997 on my lower back with a numbing, tingling, throbbing pain. I feel my right hip (somewhere on the pelvis) locks when I don't sit/lay down properly. I become stiff and immovable when it happens. Now, I feel my neck locks, too.

Now, it develops into some other pain. I have tender points on my inner legs and thighs, even going up to my rib cages. Sometimes, I feel pain on my arms. The throbbing pain is now going up to my upper back, my shoulders and neck causing me headaches.

Aside from the pain, I feel tired all the time. I was also checked for thyroid problems. Nothing is wrong.

I did my own research and I came across fybromylgia. I looked into the checklist of symptoms. I found out that most of my symptoms are there such as pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, morning stiffness, numbness or tingling of the extremities (specially on my fingertips), painful menstrual periods, and many others.

There's no known cause for fybro but some articles say old injuries can cause pain. hmmm? It rings a bell...

My research is not thorough, of course. I came across several other syndromes similar to fybro. Some articles also link hormone imbalance to fybro. I think have hormone imbalance since I don't get to have regular periods.

I need a doctor who understands things like these. What kind of doctor ba dapat ang istoryahon?

it was a three-layered white cake (mocha on the inside) lang with fresh flowers on the side and a ball of flowers on the top. The flowers were so beautiful - a mixed of flowers in gradient colors of orange and yellow accented with greens. I can't remember all the flowers but sure ko naay yellow nga rose, daisies, and mums.

i was gazing on it gyud pag-uli sa balay.  ;)
