Sun Tzu recognized the importance of positioning in strategy and that physical environment and subjective opinion of competitive actors in that environment. He taught that strategy is not planned in the sense of working through on a to-do list of action, rather than that it requires a quick and appropriate responses to changing conditions. Planning works in a controlled environment, competing plans collide, creating unexpected situation.

Dong this true even in business strategy and in life also.

They left the child, so there is a chance to come back in later years. Kaya lang they have to wait another five years.

But what they are doing is punishable in Philippines Law. Tampering passport is a 10 years jail sentence.

What a desperate moved, They don't speak english or tagalog so can be mistaken as a real Japs couple, even there child didn't learned a bit of tagalog world.

#115
Its the parent mistakes to leave the child because of economics reasons in the Philippines. There is always opportunity somewhere.

Thailand is in Political crises now a days. Staging their own version of EDSA Revolution to oust the present Prime Minister.

Like The Erap supporter and GMA supporter, staging a violent protest to support their leaders make the economy worst and political chaos will follow soon.

Thailand should learned from Philippines experienced.

Dong, any of our Politician can learn from the history of the Romans. Because history repeat itself.
#121
Quote from: Lorenzo on April 11, 2009, 08:22:14 PM
The magnificent and auspicious rule of Emperor Augustus, which saw the greatest rise of Roman culture, economy, military prominence, was and is remembered by historians and people, was unequaled and unrivaled by any other Emperor in Roman History.

Augustus The Great only had one flaw, he bore no male child heir to his Imperial Throne.

Augustus gave everything to the Empire, body and soul. He personally commanded armies in his wars to conquering all of Gaul and Germania, attended most Roman religious rituals, traveled to Egypt, Parthia. The pressure of the Imperial Office was definite on the Emperor.

He was unsuccessful in providing the Empire with a male son.

Instead, by proclamation, he named his next of kin, a nephew, Tiberius, to be his regent.

Octavian, during his childhood had incesteous affair with her sister Selene. He adored her sister very much that he's heart is just for her sister.

He's father Marcus Antonius thought he is weak. Octavian learned early Political Strategy through his adapted father Gaius Julius Ceasar.

The hatred between Sevilla and Athea started it all. Sevilla is the mother Lapidus. Bruttus and Cassius who allied with Cicero started the plot to kill Julius Cesaer. Sevilla is as concubine of JC  who dislike Octavian as heirs in favor of his son Lapidus.

But Julius Cesaer like Octavian very much because of his pure in heart and motives. His love of his people pure. So when JC died his first act of introduction to the populace is give all the money to the people of Rome. About 3 million lira, every citizen will get 300 lira. Nice moved huh.

This make His Mother and father very upset, and sent hi to the south for exiles with a few soldiers, that later on became a Legion that defeated all enemies in the south.

There's a saying that "All roads lead to Rome" The Romans built roads and bridges in all the cities they annexed. Even until now still exist The road from Rome to Damascus, Syria in present still usable.

The flows of goods to the Italian cities are unrestricted during that time, They called it the "Renaissance Period". Where cultures, art and literatures flourished during that times of Emperor Agustus.
#123
Dong, did you notice the time table. This also the time of Jesus suffering from Romans.
#124
Octavian is son of Marcus Antonus to Athea Julia his mother the sister of Gaius Julius Ceasar. He became a favorite nephew of Gaius Juluis Ceasar and adapted son. He and his father allied to depeat the republican Army of Lapidus  And came back to Rome  to become a Politician(consul). Later on He hated his father Marcus Antonius very much because of his affair to Cleopatra. And dismantled his own father Marcus Antonius in Egypt.

Later he became Emperor Agustus. And restored peace in The Roman Empire.

Umeca, Rajah Carlito Buntas, was a Commissioner of Indigenous People. During President Erap Estrada. Was ousted from office during the time of President GMA,

When I was assigned to call a meeting for IPs group under KP( is an association of about 2000 NGOs under Nona Ricafort now in CHED) of the office of the Speaker JDV. I meet Rajah Carlito Buntas. That was the time we became friend, I tried to help him to restored him as IP Commissioner, which I found out later that in Politics you need to have a lot of influenced.

Rajah Carlito Buntas, is a Marcos loyalist, He organized all tribes in the Philippines to rally under KBL. He married to an Edralin. According to him he is the discoverer of Mt. Diwalwal ( Diwata ) in Compostela Valley. His father at one time a deputy police commander in Bohol. Its his father who bring a lot of Boholanos to be miner in Diwalwal. One of the famous name is Dodong Balonos of Loay. Who own a concession in Mt. Diwalwal. Amper, Simbajon, Herrera, etc.

His short stint in IP Commission is also a controbersial when he approved a lot of Ancestral Land Tittle to many IPs.

During his youth, He won a World Scout Gold Medal in Tribal Dance. That make him a regular visitor of President Marcos, he dance along with his troupe at Palace. He later became a scholar of PWU taking up Engineering. The Benitez included him in the BAYANIHAN DANCE TROUPE that toured around the World.

Rajah Buntas, spanish features make a Cassanova of his time, He was manly and greasefull.

This is just some bits and pieces about Rajah Carlito Buntas, Hes life is very colorful. full of intrigued.

Comparatively the most lowest crime rate according to Police statistics and rebellion related incident.

But the influx of Foriegners and other people not from Bohol its increased by numbers of crimes like gun for hire, some of them are not from Bohol. Hope this will serve as wake-up call to the Government of Bohol.

Dong Bran, I can't debate anymore beyond this point. Its not really proven researched about Jesus as the son of Cleopatra and Gaus Julius Ceasar and boilogical father Titus Polo.

Since Christians brought down the Roman Empire on his knees by converting to Christianity and Christianity is Jesus.

Its is rightfully to say that, Jesus Holy teaching brought down Kingdoms. Amen

Interesting perspective, Mr. Rald. :)

Dong Bran, many researcher believe that Little JC (Julius Ceasar) was Jesus Christ in real life he twelve when sent to India. Selene Cleopatra is Magdalene and James is his half brother fathered by Mark Anthony, they are half brother of Jesus and their mother is Cleopatra.

Little Julius Ceasar came back to Alexandra when he was 30 to find his half sister and half bother and married her.

A russian writer in the 12 century translated a 1000 years old Tibetan scripture about a holy man from Mediteranean region came as scholar and left when he was in his 30's. The date was almost coincide from the reigned of Emperor Tibirius. Little JC was almost age of Tibirius. The only accurate dating they can fined.

This coincide the missing years of Jesus as an adult and knowledges in Holy teaching. Speak different languages other than  Aramaic and can read sancrits.

When Popei died, Julius Ceasars take over the reined as Emperor and declared himself Emperor-God and his married to Cleopatra, thought to make Roman Empire more stronger and bigger.

Some Senator are not happy because of Mark Anthony being the Commander in Chief of the Army.

When Mark Anthony stationed in Alexandra it weaken the forces that loyal to Julius while Agustus is plotting a coup d'tat againts his adapted Father which is Juluis Ceasar.

Titus Polo, a braves Roman Soldier who impregnated Cleopatra was real father of the Son of GOD which is little Ceasar. When Agustus Army defeated Mark Anthony, Cleopatra sent their  son exiled in India with some of their trusted Caretaker of their Son.

i am going to write this on behalf of martin, I will tell you what he belived and are true facts. Martin met his wife margi (gee gee) in liverpool england, she was visiting her sister who is married over here. Martin and gee married and had a child who is british. after many holidays to the alona beach area martin decided to sell everything here and move to his fabulous house he built with his new family. his wife never wanted to go at the time as she had not yet got her british visa. They had only been there a few weeks the marraige wasnt going well all she wanted was to return to england and apply for her british visa which is what she done, but when she came back to england on her own (with the baby) she got refused and retuned to martin with her tail between her legs. Martin believed if she had of got it he would never of seen her again. but martin knew after she done this that she only ever used him and sadly he knew she never ever loved him, that was the reason there marriage ended. He was then in his eyes a single man and dated a few females, but so what, he was not commited to anyone he certainly never needed to rape anyone. After the shooting he put up a reward to find out who was behind it all and it came to light and true facts are his estranged wife offered money to a bar maid to poison him. The rape charges are only off people who were offered money for ther statments the ones who say he raped them are friends of Margie his wife, other females who refused the bribes told martin they were approached by the local police to say he raped them and were all offered money for the statments. His estranged wife had a uncle who was in the police and another family member was a local govenor. Martin was on the path to getting his marriage annulled on the grounds his wife only ever married him to become british, if that had of happened she would then of had no claim to his ten million passo house or buisiness, In her eyes he had to die before this happened. Martin truly believed his wife was behind everthing that happened to him and i know most other people believe this to.  The day after his death she moved straight into his house, martin would turn in his grave knowing she got what she wanted. his wish ,he told us,.  was that if onyone succeeded in killing him he would want his house bulldozed down and the land contaminated. She couldnt get her visa so she wanted his house, business and money,. This whole situation makes me angry and the way the pathetic law is over ther she will proply get away with this. I pray to god there will be justice. I hope martin can rest in peace. We will miss you so much matey, you were loved by many. x x x .

Thanks Steve for making a statement who really Martin is. Hope we will also hear the other side of the story.

I am  foreign woman here and please do not say I have bad manner's when in fact so many things here are done just the opposite of what i was told not to do as a kid.

Martin was BUOTAN kaayo!

I knew him in person as a freind did you?

Priscilla I'm thankful that you are here making positive statement on a foreigner point of view.

But to be factual what really started this event. We tried to dig deeper on the situation according to your statement. We don't condemned Martin as Sexual predator. But we based our observation on the events that lead to murder.

For me a boutan kaayo stay in the house and take care of his family. Check-in a hotel with a lady witness because he might missed his appointment with his lawyer, I don't take this kind of alibi. Because, Tawala is just twenty minutes drive to Tagbilaran City.

I hope justice will prevail and We shall find peace in forgiveness.

A person is innocent until proven guilty, so let's leave the sentence to the court. Unfortunately, I think the decision on the raps against Martin will no longer be heard. But the judgment on his murder case will certainly be a test if our justice system is working.

Nothing can justify murder. Still, Rald's reminder to foreigners is cautionary. Foreigners who live long term or permanently in Bohol should pay attention to local sensibilities. I myself sometimes observe the indifferent and even loud attitude of some foreigners in public places such as malls, and squirm at foreign men hanging out with a number of scantily clad and heavily made up local women. Such behavior is acceptable in liberal societies, but grates at the sensibilities of the locals.

What makes things worse is if the male kin of these women witness such scenes. Or if foreigners make gestures or behave towards local women in ways that may be acceptable in their societies, but not to the local community. To the locals, "rape" is not necessarily the consummation of a forcible sexual act, but can consist simply in the forcible or unexpected act of hugging a woman tightly or kissing her.

When the offense is committed against the poor, who have no means to get even in court, they may just take the law into their hands.

I do not want to pre-judge Martin. But to dismiss the number of local testimonies on his liberal behavior with women would be to summarily accuse these unrelated, disinterested witnesses of corrobation. Martin just has too many knots in his local relationships--in-laws, women, police, local men--for him to continue to take for granted his personal safety and indifferent behavior.

I believe increased consideration for the local sensibilities will help diminish these fatal flashpoints to our mutual relationship.

I agree with you Benny San, This is how to behaved in a foreign land as I'm foreigner here in a Muslim World that make them more sensitive than Us, in Bohol.

The accounts don't add up. They raise more questions than answers.

Initial investigation indicates that this was a random incident, perpetrated by a pair of minors, who are just high school students. An ID card found among the bloody litter led to this important piece of information. A verbal altercation was supposed to have preceded the violence that resulted in 14 stab wounds.

What would provoke minors to such intensity of rage that they would fell a bigger man with vicious stab wounds? My doubt all boils down to the insufficiency of motive.

Was this part of the strategy of the mastermind, given that juveniles cannot be thrown the book in the court of law?

Bohol Chronicle states that the rap against Martin consisted of two rape cases, one of which was due to be heard the day his body was discovered. But his friends say Martin was a good man, and could not have possibly perpertrated the crime.

Our very own Precious here reports two previous attempts to Martin's life, one by gun and the other by poison. Why didn't the police treat these serious attempts to his life seriously by conducting an investigation?

Given the myriad questions, I really pray that this case will not just be filed among the unsolved cases.

Or "mysterious Bohol" will soon owe this name not to its unfathomable beauty, but to unsolved crimes due to inept law enforcement.

Two Rape charges are very serious crime againts our Boholanas, And he still roaming around scatch free from the time of his murder, preying on young girls as his next victims. Is he supposed to be in jail, rape is a heinous crime in the Philippines. Marten is on bailed-out, as he can afford to hire a Lawyer. What about those two Boholanas who cannot afford a lawyer. Their families will get even in any ways.

As security guard testified he always check-in with different girls in a hotel. Thats make him a good person. I don't think so, Beside he using a pseudo name Martin Williams or a Martin Thornpe.

I like foreign Tourist to live in Bohol. But I don't like this kind of people preying on our young girls as sex slaves, because of poverty. Marry them and then abandoned later with their young child. And accused the family as leeches.

I like people to come marry our ladies, respect our tradition and culture, or religion. And live happily ever after. Enjoy Bohol as if its your own place.

Hi my name is Steve Ocallaghan and im a very good friend of Martin, I was with martin at the time of the shooting. I was sitting at his bar with my partner Julie. Martin was a kind and loving person who loved life to the full. He worked hard all his life for what he had and all he wanted was a simple life in a beautiful part of the world. One strange thing about the shooting was that ten mins before he got a text message off his wife saying "GOODNIGHT" I ask one question who is the only person to gain anything from his death? I hope more than anything that justice will be served. Me and Julie would like to take this oppertunity to thank all the kind people who are on his side. Regards Steve and Julie.

Your prime suspect is the abandoned wife who seek asylum to another province bringing along his baby. She is the one capable of hiring killer to kill Marten as revenge and enrich herself as heir to the property of Marten. Why did Marten have a good relation to her wife is He is really a good man as Priscilla described Marten as a personal friend. Maybe thiers more to it than a just speculation.

What the motives of a wife, to kill his husband? What Marten owned is also owned by his wife. If Marten is a chickboy or let say having an affair with another girls in his club. Then maybe this is motives of the killing.

Then maybe theres another angle also that the relatives of supposed to be raped victim      also capable of hiring a killer or the boyfriend of the girl.

There is an established motives of the killing, other than hold-up or just a plane robbery. Beside it happened three time attempted murder. Anyway, hope justice will served for Marten.

I will asked  Atty. Calibo of NAPOLCOM to investigate this Officer who harassed Foreigner on their clubs. Priscilla can name some police officer who do this. When I come home We can summoned this Police officer. We reassigned then in Basilan.

The masses seemed short in memory. They can't remember the corruption that happened during the term of a certain official or Congressmen.

We loved to slaved by this politicians, we idolized them, and talked about their wrong doing and yet we vote for them.

The nature of business has Marten got into will invite him into trouble specially Beer Houses with ladies working GRO cum prostitute.

I never heard someone succeed in this Business in Bohol. Because of over jealous kin, found out their relatives working as GROs will castigate the girls.

The gruesome nature of the killing is for vengeance or revenges. Hope this serve us warning to those got involved in this nature of business.

Some try to import prosti from Leyte or Mindanao to work as GRO in Bohol. But never with in Boholana to work in Bohol.

This is my observation, being proprietor of a restaurant in Tagbilaran before. Bawal ang beerhouse sa Bohol. Just my assumption. Don't take it as an advice.

Condolence to Marten's bereaved family.
