Natural Family Planning has come a long a way (panahon pa ni mampor ni!!!). Not only does it meet the church's moral standard (its catholic church moral standard it doesn't speak for the entire christian church) for spacing births, it keeps a marriage going.. - this line is completely irrelevant. Kay ngano ug mogamit ta ug artificial method it will not keep the marriage going?

#3
Natural Family planning does not help in the growing problem of population explotion. Whats the big fuzz about the RH bill? does it talk about abortion as a family planning method?  Why is the catholic church againts RH bill?

This is in reply to the long thread about miss bohol international winner 2006 farewell speech. First I would like to congratulate Miss Loida for having the courage to tell the truth about her "reign that never was".

According to a VRS right after the pageant the organizer disappeared leaving the newly crown beauty queen facing a blank wall not knowing what to do. She wasn't briefted on what will be her role as the newly crown Miss Bohol International, wasn't presented activities that would serve her purpose as a beaty queen.

I sympathized with here when she said "I didn't receive a treatment anybody would expect to be given to a beauty queen".

In my opinion the prize of a round trip ticket to the US was just a small part of Loida's frustation, the real issue to me was the way the TBTK organizer specifically miss bohol international organization treated her as a beauty queen.

To those who doesn't know loida prior to joining the miss bohol international, she was the reigning miss UB personality, which gave the opportunity to represent her Alma Mater to the miss bohol international. During her reign she was visible in all her alma mater activities in news prints and radio guestings, but never during her reign as miss bohol international. Maayo pa man ang beauty queen sa barangay kay ipaso just to show how the barangay is proud of their queen.

I'll wait for Loida Lagonoy to join the Bb. Pilipinas. I remember she won Ms. Bohol International 2006 not only because she's beautiful but most of all she's intelligent. She gave the best answer during the pageant. Richelle Angalot was one of the candidates, and she wasn't even a runner up. I could still remember her answer to the question "how will you promote bohol as a tourist destination". Her answer then was "that bohol has many white sand Bitch" or something like that. She pronounce the word BEACH  as BITCH which made the audience laughing...

No wonder she made boboo again in the question and answer for the Bb. Pilipinas pageant.

NAGMAMANI: Ahh mani! Mani! Mani! Malutong! Mani kayo riyan, o! P5 lang! Mani! Malutong! Mani kayo riyan!

INDAY: Mr. Peanut, are those nuts cropped from a high class soil fertilized through an advance agricultural method to produce a rich tasted appetizer which you, yes, you Mr. Peanut, fried it in a premium grade 0% fat canola oil with a low salt solution to consider those low cholesterol diet practitioner like me?

NAGMAMANI: Pakyu!

I hate how coffee turns into an addiction and how it keeps you up all night, how it burns and makes your heart beat fat, especially how it makes you crave for its rich and sweet promises of grains, milk and sugar.

"Moments later, it put you into a melacholic mood of coldness and before you realize, it has consumed you, even before you have consumed it.

"Empty, hollow, bitter. Then again… you crave for another cup. Just like love…"

… Si INDAY, nag-e-emote sa Starbucks.

"Guys, I’m sorry for not telling you… I’ll be leaving soon… I’m having my despedida party tonight, 13th of October at the HipHop VIP Lounge, Embassy, The Fort… I just invited a few friends, so your presence will be greatly appreciated.

"Open bar by 10:00 PM. See you all! Mwah!!!"

… Text ni INDAY sa friends niya, pauwi kasi siya ng probinsya

"And I do believe that all Filipino women should have the same opportunity as I did! To grow as a beautiful lady and become a leader. To establish a character that will help build communities towards the future. Nevertheless find ways to help hopeless and abused nannies across the nations. Ladies and gentlemen, vote me for barangay chairwoman this election! MABUHAY!"

…Si INDAY, nangangampanya para sa barangay election

Nabangga ni Epay si Inday…

Inday: How dare you try to increase your speed towards such a trajectory as myself!

Epay: Please accept my deepest apologies for it was not my utmost intention to collide with you.

Inday: If I could logically deduce from such actions, I say that you are in one simple word, ‘uncivilized.’

Epay: But I have to say that the reason this had happened is because the intense mental concentration has shielded you from my range of vision!

-- Si Inday, may ‘competitor’ na!

Amo: Inday, paalisin mo nga ‘yung pulubi sa labas ng bahay.

Inday: (nilabas ang pulubi) Off you go! Under no circumstance this house would relent to such unabashed display of vagrant destitution!

Pulubi: Oh! I’m so ashamed… Such a mansion of social climbing freaks!

Isa pang katapat ni Inday.....

"What’s in the number 7? Why is it God’s perfect number? When in fact, 7 is an odd number! Just think… There are 7 days a week, 7 wonders of the world. In the Bible, you must forgive a person 70 X 7 times. Even the word FORGIVE has 7 letters. The rainbow has 7 colors and the word RAINBOW has 7 letters.

"Even the word PROMISE. Maybe God designed it. For even the word MYSTERY has 7 letters…

"And now, use Olay Total Effects to fight the 7 signs of skin aging!"

Si INDAY, nag-apply na endorser ng Olay

Lester: Hmmnn… ang sarap at ambango ng aroma nitong brewed coffee… at parang may roasted peanuts pa!

Inday: Sir, wala pong halong mani ‘yan!

Lester: Ha?! Ano ang sekreto ng kape mong napakasarap?’

Inday: Ahh… ehh… hindi ko kasi makita ang coffee-maker natin, sir! Kaya sinala ko ang kape sa aking lumang panty!

---Si Inday noong unang panahon...

Amo: Hoy, Inday! Bakit sunog ang sinaing?

Inday: Heavy fire that exerted by the stimulus affect the best conductor of heat which is the steel, causing the Oriza sativa which is the scientific name of rice to change its state of color, as well as the taste.

Amo: In other words, you didn’t apply your knowledge about heat conductors and left the rice to burn, bah! Akala mo, nosebleed, ‘no?! Iba na ako ngayon, ‘no?! Nag-study na ‘ko… Bring it on!!!

Inday: Hu! Hu! Hu! Those f***** bastard criminals! They took my Summer 2007 Balenciaga black messenger bag loaded with my Apple iPhone 8GB, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue perfume, my Technomarine stainless steel chronograph wristwatch and my Shu Uemura cosmetics! I hope those worthless rotten despicable beings get burned in hell! Hu! Hu! Hu!

Feisty show biz talent manager Lolit Solis dropped a bombshell on an otherwise lazy Monday morning.  That of an alleged Hotel Sofitel (formerly the Westin Philippine Plaza) rendezvous of two matinee idols by the poolside.

Lolit bared in her tabloid column that she got “lost” inside the hotel purportedly searching for the venue of an exhibit she was invited to attend. While seaching she ended up in a cafe restaurant by the Sofitel pool, which had a few patrons on that Friday afternoon.  As she tried to look for a way out of the cafe, Lolit noticed two male patrons on the far end of the cafe from where she was standing who were “sweet” to each other. They whispered and talked intimately, she said, with their faces almost touching each other at one point. This was when she tried to get closer and take a clear look to confirm what she suspected. Restaurant staff, she said, called her by name and when they did, the two left the place in a huff. But before they did leave, she was very much sure who the “couple” wasâ€"Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby. This, she said, the restaurant staff confirmed. They said the two frequent the place because of its discreet location, which is far from any show biz follower’s prying eyes.

Camps of the two actors, however, belied Lolit’s tale. In a PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) report, Piolo’s handlers said the actor was doing a shoot for a Timex commercial at the time the alleged sighting took place, a claim corroborated by the watchmaker’s executives. On the other hand, Sam was at the Essensuals Toni & Guy Salon in Makati at that time, a separate PEP report said. From there, the actor-model then proceeded to a shoot in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Was it a case of mistaken identity? Or did the actors find a way to “sneak in” a short yet blissful encounter despite their hectic schedules?

Either way, it was quite strange for Lolit not to use the sleek camera phone she owns. If I had the chance, I would use it and create the biggest showbiz scandal of the century â€" something unheard of even by paparazzi-laden Hollywood standards. Despite the potential “mother of all showbiz scoops,” it remains a tale, which you would either believe or debunk depending on the biases you have.  This can’t be a valid story unless the waiters Lolit spoke to would agree to corroborate the talent manager’s claim for the record or if her Startalk staff could find eyewitnesses in Sofitel who could state without any doubt that the alleged “sweet couple” were actually at the hotel at that time.  This kind of claim can’t hold with just one person talking about it.

Coming back is costly for all of us. More than 1,200 posts had to be deleted, more than 300 of those posts came from the question: "Are All Politicians Prostitutes?"

I had to make a choice: if I reverse the database to an earlier date, we can recover the deleted posts which were replaced with "a period" on the previous date I want to, but topics and posts made from that date onward would be lost.

Too much work to do and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines is not paying me for this effort. I had to manually delete the posts with a period and it was time-consuming, so I decided to delete the account of a member, including the topics and posts made by this member. Comments on those topics made by other TB members were automatically removed too.

Personally, I was deeply hurt because even my own comments were deleted and were replaced with a period. And I felt great sorrow that many beautiful write-ups of our compatriots here were replaced with a period.

In light of this abuse and misuse of our website, and insult to the Boholano people, I have decided to ban all from modifying any posts.

Better to impose this ban today rather than waking up one day and seeing our well-written articles being deleted and replaced with a period.

Quote from: Gervistill on September 08, 2007, 08:00:30 PM
Untold Pinoy Story No. 5
Pure Innuendoes

They were the best of friends. They were always seen together around the University of the Philippines (UP) campus in Diliman: one was undoubtedly a very good-looking guy and the other was unquestionably a plain-looking guy. Opposites really attract. Hey, but they're both brilliant students. Well, birds of the same feather also flock together. Indeed, they were very close to each other. Unusually close.

They were the perfect tandem. Like suman and ripe mango. Or nuts and bolts. Peg and a hole.

They were both protégées of then UP Student Council chairman Chito Gascon. Soon, the good-looking guy took the helm as UP Student Council chairman. But the best friends seem to follow each other's path. The plain-looking guy also ran for the same position with the all-out support of his good-looking friend. He won, of course.

The good-looking guy was the crush ng bayan of the iskolars ng bayan.

During lunchtime, students of all persuasions flocked to the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) cafeteria to catch a glimpse of the good-looking guy. Even singer-actress Regine Velasquez later admitted on national television that she had a big crush on the good-looking guy.

But loveless Regine's daring admission did not earn her even just a movie date invitation from the good-looking guy; instead, the good-looking guy merely flashed a demure smile in response to desperate Regine's thinly-veiled date invitation.

But after finishing college, the best friends went their separate ways. (Or so it seemed). The plain-looking guy pursued his law studies and later taught law courses. The good-looking guy delivered the evening news on TV, hosted a TV quiz show and wrote analytical articles on pop culture. His good looks, intelligence and impeccable manner endeared him to televiewers.

Despite their divergent career choices, the good-looking guy and the plain-looking guy really seemed to follow each other's path. But this time, their path led to a nice little apartment near the Ateneo de Manila campus. And they shared that nice little apartment. Just the two of them.

Yes, the plain-looking guy and the good-looking guy lived together.

Those gifted with wild imagination got titillated at the mere thought of these two young men sharing a lovely apartment. The moralists out there shook their heads at the mere thought of the goings-on beyond that innocent-looking apartment door amid rows of middle-class houses in Loyola Heights in Quezon City.

But the pair would not budge from their nest. Nor would they yield to any pressure. Not even from the
plain-looking guy's bible-reading siblings who berated him for living with another guy. The plain-looking guy's own family started to cast doubt about his masculinity.

All tell tale signs which have accumulated all those years could no longer be ignored. People started talking openly about the two guys.

Speculations about the true nature of the pair's friendship became a daily fodder for gossip mongers. The academic freedom which alma mater UP's oblation symbolizes seemed to have gone beyond the duo's lust for
knowledge.

In order to prove to his family that he was not what they thought he was, the plain-looking guy suddenly announced that he was getting married. His family jumped with joy.

But the plain-looking guy's marriage did not dispel wild speculations about his sexuality; instead, it only
succeeded in erasing any remaining doubt about his alleged agenda of using his wife to finally succeed in his failed initial crack at pursuing his lifelong dream.

And it was well worth his efforts. Because this former loser's desperate act finally triumphed. Thanks to his wife.

However, the plain-looking guy's deep friendship with his good-looking friend took a backseat as a result of the former's new civil status. The plain-looking guy did not want to hurt his new wife's flourishing career nor spoil his newfound success.

That's why he played his role as a good family man to the hilt. However, he had not forgotten his good-looking best friend at all. As a token of their undying friendship, the good-looking guy stood as one of the
godfathers of the plain-looking guy's first baby, together with Edu Manzano, Cesar Montano, Cherie Gil, Ciara Sotto, Angeli Valenciano, Fanny Serrano, and a host of other household names.

Of course, the plain-looking guy's wife was clueless about her husband's past.

But the plain-looking guy's wife had her share of dark past. She is a single mother who parted ways with her good-looking "first husband" after she discovered that her good-looking "first husband" was already married
to another woman when she hastily married him after she got pregnant at a young age. This meant that her
marriage to her good-looking "first husband" was not legally binding after all.

Now, the plain-looking guy was her knight-in-shining-armor who rescued her from the stigma of being an unmarried mother.

Ironically, while her non-binding marriage with her good-looking "first husband" was solemnized by several high-ranking priests at the cavernous Manila Cathedral amid countless clicking cameras and thousands of shrieking admirers several years ago, her supposedly legitimate marriage with the plain-looking guy was officiated not by a Catholic priest but by a pastor in a cramped living room, with only few relatives and friends as witnesses.

Later, the good-looking guy reportedly got married also without fanfare. They said that his bride was a creative consultant for ABS-CBN Interactive. However, some women still believe and hope that he is still unmarried to this day.

The good-looking guy soon rose to become ABS-CBN News Channel's ANC) Director for Current Affairs. He has been circling the globe as host of ANC's weekly travel show, Executive Class.

Yes, the good-looking guy is David Celdran.

And the plain-looking guy is ...'s husband, . . .

This is the million-dollar question.

Today Tubag Bohol comrades had an eyeball at Brewpoint, Tagbilaran. Two senior members and one hero of Tubag Bohol. They expected GEC to show up - after all he wants to see the lovely flower on Mari's ears. :)

GEC was nowhere to be found.

There were rumors and suspensions that one of those who lazed away at Brewpoint, sipping hot coffee, could be GEC, but was too hesitant to introduce himself to the TB family members for reasons we don't know.

I've been bombarded with questions as to who GEC is.

I have only one reply: "I really don't know."

I know his e-mail add, being the site admin, but even his e-mail add cannot tell us who GEC is.

If you wish to get his e-mail add from me - that I cannot give - unless GEC gives me an explicit permission.

Now, again, the million-dollar question: Who Really is GEC?

Based on the report I've read Mr. Neri is obvious he's proctecting a very high ranking official ( which we all know its the president). The fact that he was offered a bribe from Mr. Abalos and informed the president about the offer (bribe), yet the ZTE contract was still approved. Ing-ana na jud ka corrupt ang mga government official sa pilipinas.

I think Mr. Neri should tell all and not invoke his executive privilege (right to remain silent). I saw the senate hearing last night over at TFC, professors from UP said that even the local telecommunication companies can handle such project why do the government has to get services outside.

If Mr. Neri tells everything he knew about the ZTE deal then he's the "Man of the Hour" and I'm proud of him being a Boholano and a Filipino.

Quote from: junayag on September 28, 2007, 02:49:51 AM

May the Holy Spirit enlighten him and the people involved...may the truth prevail.

The integrity of Bol-anons would reflect how Mr. Neri perform in this critical time.

Ako number one, zero crime rate. I would like to see and experience when I come home na I could walk at the park bisan ug tunga sa gabii nga sigurado ko na walay manghilabot nako. I can jog during the wee hours of the morning na walay mang hold-up sa akoa.

Ikaduha - CR na limpyo bisan ug public toilet pa na, labi na kung tourist area pa (like in chocolate hills). Last time nako adto perting bahoa, ambot ug asa nila gigamit ang kita sa chocolate hills adlaw adlaw.

Ikatulo - Clean, potable and enough supply of water.

What improvements would you like to see in Tagbilaran City, Chocolate Hills, etc? What infrastructure or facilities will enhance the beauty of Bohol? How would Bohol be a more welcoming and attractive place?

Hey mga paisano now that ERAP was convicted of plunder what about Mr. TABACO  (RAMOS)...Please read the latest article in Phil. Daily Inquirer....laing gastuhun na pod sa panahon ni GLORIA....

Ila lang gibuwak buwakan ang CLARK EXPO aron pagtabon sa tinood nga kahimtang, ang corruption sa likod niining maong proyerto...

P40M being spent for Expo Pilipino

CLARK FREEPORT--The mammoth yet idle government asset that is the P3-billion Expo Pilipino here has finally gotten a new lease on life.

Breathing a fresh start to the 60-hectare park is the government itself through the Nayong Pilipino Foundation, said Crispin Cadiang, NPF’s coordinator for this P40-million undertaking.

The move, led by NPF executive director Charito Planas, is seen in business circles as daring because no private group has actually tried to turn it around and get over its tarnished past.

Ramos legacy

Built by the administration of former President Fidel Ramos to celebrate the centennial of Philippine Independence in 1998, the Expo Pilipino was mothballed in 1999, on orders of former President Joseph Estrada, after the Senate’s blue ribbon committee found proof of graft in the project.

In the business sense, however, the park still teems with facilities and features that can bring in income to the government’s coffers.

This was what convinced Planas to try the proposition of Rene Diaz, former presidential adviser for Northern Luzon, said Cadiang.

Rather than leave it to deteriorate or entirely go to waste, the NPF did its bit by using what remains of Expo Pilipino’s pre-colonial and colonial plazas, repairing or improving those or adding new attractions to the place, Cadiang said.

In doing so, it shared with the Clark Development Corp. the task of demonstrating that the Expo Pilipino is still feasible as a public or private enterprise.

Extension

“Nayong Pilipino sa Clark Expo” is how this improved part of the park is called.

“The concept is to make this an extension of the Nayong Pilipino in Pasay City,” said Cadiang, a musical composer and former Catholic priest.

At least 53 personnel, including a team of construction workers, are involved in this revival effort. Musician and historian Felipe de Leon has helped in the research and in the remaking of the area as a “buhay na yaman” or living heritage.

The replicas of the Ifugao Village, Kalinga Village and Barasoain Church, and the Convento Theater have been repaired and can now be used.

The replicas of the houses of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini and former President Emilio Aguinaldo have been restored.

Existing structures

Still undergoing repairs are the Plaza, Arcadia, the museum of ecclesiastical and folk arts, and the outdoor theater.

The additional features are the Labuad Kapampangan, a mini-park of Pampanga culture, and the Karinan, a restaurant made of bamboo and nipa that sits right next to a vegetable garden and chicken farm.

Another feature is the “Dambana ng Paghilom (Shrine of Healing),” which is set to get its own garden of herbal plants.

Three of seven lodging cottages have been finished and are available for overnight rest or retreats.

The executive lounge, all made of hardwood and native materials, has hosted small conferences and meetings

Fulton Cervantes is living in Canoga Park, California.

His other addresses could be Northridge California and Chatsworth California.
Or possibly one address is in Valparaiso, Indiana.

I'm still searching for his e-mail address and telephone number.

I will do my best.

At least for now we're able to narrow down the location.

Who won? The last time I watch Mr and Ms. UB was in 2004 where my nephew was one of the candidates representing the college on nursing (Mr. Nursing - Raulph Anthony Saren Molina) and eventually bag the crown as Mr. UB personality, Ms. UB personality was from Day High School (Ms. Cajegas). That was 3 years ago and things has change, Mr. UB is now a license Nurse (passed the 2007 board exam)and is pursuing an NCLEX so he could join us here in the US.
