             The TAX Poem

At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him til
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me
To my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Accounts Receivable Tax
Airline  surcharge tax
Airline Fuel Tax
Airport Maintenance Tax
Building Permit Tax
Cigarette Tax
Corporate Income Tax
Death Tax
Dog License Tax
Drivng Permit Tax

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation
Was one of the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt, had a  large middleclass,
And Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the hell happened? Can you spell 'politician?'

MAKE MEN FIND YOU

Since the earliest days of mankind, a woman can show a man she is interested in him, the smart one's let him think he is doing the chasing. This is the twenty first century and you can show a man you are interested in him. Catch his eye and then immediately look away, but then look back at him. If he finds you attractive, he will think he has fond you, and will most often make a move.

for me this is true.... :)effective girls :-*

Friday (12/5): "According to your faith be it done to you"

Scripture: Matthew 9:27-31

27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, "Have mercy on us, Son of David." 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you." 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly charged them, "See that no one knows it." 31 But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.
Old Testament Reading: Isaiah 29:17-24

“In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.” (Is. 29:18)

Meditation: Are there any blind-spots in your life that keep you from recognizing God's power and mercy? When two blind men heard that Jesus was passing their way, they followed him and begged for his mercy. The word mercy literally means "sorrowful at heart". But mercy is something more than compassion, or heartfelt sorrow at another's misfortune. Compassion empathizes with the sufferer. But mercy goes further; it removes suffering. A merciful person shares in another's misfortune and suffering as if it were their own. When two blind men approached Jesus, he questioned their earnestness. "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" Jesus put them to the test, not to rebuff them, but to strengthen their faith and trust in God's mercy. He touched their eyes, both to identify with their affliction and to awaken faith in them. Their faith grew as they responded to his word with confident hope. Jesus restored their sight â€" both physically and spiritually to the reality of God's kingdom. Faith opens the way for us to see the power of God’s kingdom and to experience his healing presence in our lives.

In Jesus we see the fulness of God's mercy and the power of his kingdom â€" power to save from death and destruction, to forgive sins and lift the burden of guilt, and to heal infirmities and release the oppressed. Jesus never refused to bring God's mercy to those who earnestly sought it. How can we seek and obtain God's mercy? God gives mercy to the lowly in heart â€" to those who recognize their need for God and for his forgiveness and healing power.

God wants to change and transform our lives to set us free to live as his sons and daughters and citizens of his kingdom. Faith is key to this transformation. How can we grow in faith? Faith is a gift freely given by God to help us know God personally, to understand his truth, and to live in the power of his love. For faith to be effective it must be linked with trust and obedience â€" an active submission to God and a willingness to do whatever he commands. The Lord Jesus wants us to live in the confident expectation that he will fulfill his promises to us and bring us into the fulness of his kingdom â€" a kingdom of  righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). Do you know the peace and joy of God's kingdom?

"Lord Jesus, help me to draw near to you with faith and trust in your saving power and mercy. Free me from doubt and unbelief that I may approach you confidently and pray boldly with expectant faith. Let your kingdom come and may your will be done in me."

Psalm 27:1-4, 13-14

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers assail me, uttering slanders against me, my adversaries and foes, they shall stumble and fall.
3 Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living!
14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the LORD!

So I was clicking through my YouTube videos when I realized there was someone on one of my videos that was stirring a debate whether "Filipinos" is the correct term for associating all people who were born & raised in the Philippines. What sparked my curiosity the most was the fact that this guy was claiming he was a "Cebuano" as opposed to a "Filipino" due to personal conflicts he had with his government.

So, out of curiousity ... what would you consider yourself to be? A Filipino, a Cebuano/or person from whatever specific town/barrio, or both?

I consider myself.....

simple question pinapagulo ntin, makababayan Filipino po tyo, being boholano, cebuano etc.... kung saan sa Pinas tyo nanggaling but ns Pinas tyo. kung ns ibang bansa tyo when they ask ...
what counrty are you from?
Philippines.
What is your citizenship?
Filipino.
and when they ask
Where in the philippines are you from?
and then we can say ...
we are from Bohol,Cebu,Mnl etc....

Health and Food / Benefits of Eating Banana
November 05, 2008, 10:32:03 PM

            Wonders of Banana

A professor at CCNY for a physiological psych class told his class about bananas. He said the expression "going bananas" is from the effects of bananas on the brain. Read on:

Never, put your banana in the refrigerator! !!

This is interesting.
After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking & Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking.. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal..

Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels.. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack..

Strokes: According to research in The New England Journal of Medicine, eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS
PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit !!!

Roman Catholic priests should not be allowed to be married. They are to be Christ's earthly representatives, to live as He did, and that cannot be done with a wife in tow. When a priest takes his vows, he consecrates his life completely to God and forsakes all earthly attachments. A man cannot serve two masters, and it would be far too easy to follow a wife's wishes over God's.

Pero kung anoman ang ginamit ko sa visa card kakaltasin iyon sa bangko ko na doon nkpondo ang pera ko. At ang kotse ko nmn khit second hand lang siya hindi nmn siya utang. Na miss understand ata ng iba about having visa card or master card.

LEAD: Pregnant woman rejected by 7 hospitals, dies after delivery+

TOKYO, Oct. 22 (AP) - (Kyodo)â€"(EDS: UPDATING, ADDING DETAILS, QUOTE)
A pregnant woman from Tokyo was refused admission by seven healthcare institutions, including a metropolitan hospital with emergency care facilities for expectant mothers and newborns, and died three days after giving birth and undergoing brain hemorrhage surgery at the hospital she was finally accommodated at, metropolitan government officials said Wednesday.

The metropolitan government said it is looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of the 36-year-old woman, especially if there was any mishandling on the part of the metropolitan hospital.

On Oct. 4, the women felt nauseated and visited her maternity doctor at a clinic in Koto Ward. The doctor decided that she needed emergency treatment at a better-equipped institution and arranged a transfer to the Metropolitan Bokutoh Hospital, according to the officials.

But the hospital in neighboring Sumida Ward, equipped with emergency room facilities, declined to accept her that day, a Saturday, on grounds that there was only one obstetrician intern on night duty.

After the woman was rejected by six other hospitals, the clinic again asked Bokutoh Hospital to accept her. This time, the general hospital complied but by then about an hour had passed since it was first contacted.

Bokutoh Hospital, which fetched an off-duty doctor to deal with her delivery, performed a Caesarean section on her as well as surgery for the hemorrhaging in her brain.

The baby was born safe, but the woman died three days after the operation.

Three full-time doctors and three interns work at Bokutoh Hospital as obstetricians, according to the officials. On weekdays, two of them work the night shift, but just one does the night shift on weekends, they say. The woman was transferred there Saturday evening.

"We dealt with the case the best we could with the limited staff. It is a pity that we were unable to save her," an official said.

The shortage of obstetricians, particularly in the countryside, has drawn public attention following a spate of cases where pregnant women died after a number of hospitals refused to take them in.

In August 2006, for example, a pregnant woman in Nara Prefecture fell unconscious during delivery and was to be transferred to a better- equipped hospital, but was rejected by 18 hospitals. She managed to give birth at a 19th hospital but later died.

The latest case has shaken the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry, which oversees healthcare, as it occurred in Tokyo, where it is believed that a sufficient number of obstetricians are available.

"We cannot know unless we look into the case thoroughly, but I'm surprised that this happened in Tokyo," a ministry official said.

this is terriable...
sa experience ko dito Ibaraki Japan talagang recomendation ang kailangan khit saan also kapag n transfer ka, from your private maternity clinic to big hospital hindi sila basta-basta magreceive ng patients, so my doktor stop doing his job kasi may problema siya sa health din niya this is happen sa bunso ko but hindi ko pa kabuwanan almost na rin. So he gve me recomendation sa isang private clinic din kaso pagdating nmin reject ako dhil puno na daw nakaingon nga ako "fullbook na" nktwa kming mag-asawa Pero Im not aware this is going -on here Im shock, so bumalik ako sa private doktor ko and he give me again recomendation sa isang Hospital sa Tsuchura, wla namang problema Thank God....and I give birth for my youngest.
here some pictures...

5 days staying in the hospital, after delivery kinabukasan bigyan ka nila ng hairdryer,a sign said " i think it says someones doing a shower" wait for your next kanji kasi.
So this picture is brestfeeding time sa nursery with some japanese mothers too... :)

Secrets for a long life: Sex, chocolate and positive thinking

HAVE A GOOD SEX LIFE

2.5 years

THERE is plenty of evidence to suggest that lots of sex is good for you. Research from Bristol University proved that men who have frequent orgasms live longer, while a University of California study reckoned a great sex life could add up to two years on your life.

Men who have sex less than once a month had twice the risk of an early death than those who had sex twice or more a week.

EAT CHOCOLATE

2 years

THERE has been plenty of reports in recent years which suggest that dark chocolate is good for the heart, thanks to the high level of antioxidants in the stuff, especially in chocolate which contains more than 70 per cent cocoa.

A Harvard University study showed that people who ate between one to three bars a month had a 36 per cent lower risk of premature death than those who didn't indulge.

DRINK WINE

4 years

UNSURPRISINGLY, experts are not suggesting that anyone abuses alcohol, but having regular small glasses of wine can help extend your life. A study from the Dutch Wageningen University shows that half a glass of wine a day could add four years to a man's life as it helps prevent blood clots and promote good cholesterol.

BE HAPPY

10 years (at least)

BEING happy can have a huge impact on your life span, as one study of nuns at the University of Kentucky showed, where those who were happy lived at least a decade longer than those who were sad.

The trick is to find happiness in everything you do, live for the moment and relish the small pleasures of life.

LOSE WEIGHT

7 years

IT is no surprise that being overweight can be detrimental to your health, but scientists at Oxford University discovered that people who are obese at the age of 40 died on average seven years earlier.

EAT WELL

6.6 years

WE all know the importance of a healthy diet, but experts at Erasmus University have come up with a eating plan that they say could cut heart disease by up 76 per cent. Key ingredients include dark chocolate, almonds, fruit, vegetables, garlic and wine. It also advises eating fish four times a week.

STAY FIT

3.7 years

MODERATE exercise is good for the heart, there is no getting around the fact, and scientists at the Erasmus University in the Netherlands have proved that it can extend life by up to 3.7 years. And as moderate exercise also helps stop people from gaining weight, it can be considered one of the best healthy habits to adopt.

BE POSITIVE

7.5 years

IT may sound a little happy clappy, but having a positive attitude not only improves your daily life, it can add as much as 7.5 years on to it.

GET MARRIED

10 years for men

MARRIED men are likely to live at least 10 years longer than those who are not married.

Women, however, according to Chicago University, only get an extra four years added to their life.

One theory is that men who get married tend to have a healthier lifestyle, while women can benefit from the greater financial security it brings. Although one Swiss study suggests that being married can shorten a woman's life thanks to the stress and strain of living with a man.

There's is a saying that goes....

You don't stop playing because you got old, you get old because you stopped palying! Keep playing
I cant live without (este) without you....

it based to each situation....sa mga lovers....BUT

The one thing which I would like to plead with people who choose the decision to betray and cheat on someone they say they really do not want to loose and love. Whether anyone is willing to admit or likes it or not, the impact of ADULTERY CHANGES YOUR LIFE FOREVER.

Please people take better care of your loved ones, friends and family. Take special care not to loose something important to you. THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN
MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S
LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

Keep Walking.....

Jus to check this out......
The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the bottom of your foot, if you massage these points you will find relief from aches and pains as you can see the heart is on the left foot.

Typically they are shown as points and arrows to show which organ it connects to.

It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here.

This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies or textbooks.

God created our body so well that he thought of ! Even this. He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.

So, keep walking...

.... DRINK WATER IN EMPTY STOMACH
It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven  its value.. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:
Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water ......interesting

2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes

3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.

4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours

5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.

6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/ reduce main diseases:

1. High Blood Pressure - 30 days

2. Gastric - 10 days

3. Diabetes - 30 days

4. Constipation - 10 days

5. Cancer - 180 days

6. TB - 90 days

7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards - daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life.

Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.

This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.
Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks: Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.
Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms! .

60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.

Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to everyone they know, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

According to the world's greatest scientist Stephen Hawking, "Life on Earth is at the ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster, such as nuclear war, global warming, a genetically engineered virus or other dangers we have not yet thought of."

Human beings all share the same home, a tiny ball named Earth. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Divided we are poweless to stop the Apocalypse. By definition united as One towards the common goal of preventing nuclear winter then ultraviolet summer we can create anything we like overnight including world peace at the United Nations. To think that we are God's chosen group which will escape nuclear winter and ultraviolet summer is like thinking that the earth does not move and never will and that the earth is the center of the Universe. An exploding nuclear bomb does not ask your religion before it blows you and your children to smitherines.

In order for life on Earth to continue we must all now tie ourselves together with love and our common threads and root out our differences and burn them in the fire before they burn then freeze then burn us all in the nuclear inferno and its aftermath. The fact that we are now too technologically advanced for nuclear world war is a change in our circumstances. We must now adapt to this change in our circumstances. We must now change our behavior because of this change in our circumstances. We must all now evolve into a peaceful species if we hope to survive. Otherwise human beings will become extinct in the very near future and we will take the rest of life on earth with us. :(

So, what do all Jews, Christians and Muslims have in common other than the fact that we are all Earthlings sharing the same home, a tiny ball named Earth? And other than the fact that we all have human DNA? And besides the fact that for the 5 million years prior to the invention of Judaism 4,000 years ago we all had the exact same Pagan grandparents and bloodlines?

Use your own mind now to climb out of this mess. Use your own experiences. You know that all people are combinations of good and evil. This deceptive tactic unites your group but divides all other groups and sets them all against each other, our present situation.

World Peace is the only way for us all to prevent Nuclear World War 3, and the complete and utter destruction of the world's environment forever which will be the result of nuclear winter then ulraviolet summer, the aftermath of Nuclear World War 3, our present heading, which will render the Earth permanently uninhabitable forever.

The time has come for all of us to evolve into a peaceful species because as every nuclear scientist is well aware, Nuclear World War 3 will have no surviviors. We have stepped out of the jungle into a nuclear age. The law of the jungle, "Kill or be killed" has become obsolete. It no longer works. The law of survival in a nuclear age is "Stop killing or be killed." Because world war no longer works, World Peace is the only survival option for our species Homo sapiens. Are you up to it?

The continued existence of life on Earth depends upon us all making World Peace among and uniting the following 10 groups. How hard could it be to make World Peace when the very survival of every species including our own depends upon it? We are about to show you your own God's plan to make World Peace with "10ve":

1) 1 billion Catholics

2) 1 billion Protestants (10 sub groups)

3) 1 billion Muslims

4) 18 million Jewish

5) 1 billion Hindus

6) 400 million Buddhists

7) 400 million Taoists

8) 500 million Agnostics

9) 500 million Atheists

10) 150 million others

Only World Peace can save you now. It is our only survival option. We must all adapt to our technological change in circumstances or we all will perish. Life on Earth will be no more. We must now save ourselves and life on Earth from extinction.

Let me ask you this: What do the two words "Don't Murder" mean? Human beings, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and Everyone else are made of air, water, and earth. Is there such a thing as Muslim or Christian or Jewish air, water, or earth? "Could you please pass me the Buddhist water?" "Would you like some Christian air for your tires?" "How about some Hindu topsoil for your garden?" If we all stop murdering then we all must stop poisoning our very components to death, air, water, and earth - with poisonous man made chemicals.

God made it simple. He didn't need 3 books or 3,000 pages. He only needed 2 words for the 6th commandment: "Don't Murder". An end to murder on Earth would mean World Peace and crystal clean air, water, and earth. This is our manual for creating the Garden of Eden right here on Earth for our children and grandchildren instead of nuclear black purple acid radioactive rain for them to choke and die on.

Ceremonies are fun and bring us a feeling of warmth but shouldn't religion be practical too? Wouldn't everlasting world peace be a wonderful accomplishment for this generation, something to celebrate? It is our choice right now whether to be the Saviors, the Messiahs of life on Earth or the Destroyers of life on Earth forever. There are only two choices. It is up to us all to save ourselves right now!

BAGHDAD - Cars and trucks loaded with suitcases, mattresses and passengers cradling baskets stuffed with clothes lined up at checkpoints Monday to flee Mosul, a day after the 10th killing of an Iraqi Christian in the northern city so far this month.

Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but local leaders have blamed al-Qaida in Iraq, which maintains influence in the region despite an ongoing U.S.-Iraqi military operation launched in May.

The latest victim was a music store owner who was gunned down Sunday evening at work in an attack that left his teenage nephew wounded, according to police and a neighbor.

Farques Batool, in his 50s, had refused to join other Christians fleeing the city because he needed to care for his wife, a daughter, his mother and the family of his dead brother, his neighbor Raid Bahnam said.

Batool's family finally fled Mosul after his death, leaving his wounded nephew in the hospital.

With the killing of at least 10 Christians this month alone, according to police, thousands have abandoned their homes in Mosul to seek refuge in churches and with relatives in neighboring villages or in relatively safe Kurdish-controlled areas nearby.

Faraj Ibraham, a 54-year-old power station employee who moved in with relatives in the village of Burtulla, said he was worried about his two daughters who had to leave school.

"We left in a hurry and they forgot to bring even their books. It will be a heavy burden for them even if we get to return home soon," he said.

Islamic extremists have frequently targeted Christians and other religious minorities since the 2003 U.S. invasion, forcing tens of thousands to flee Iraq - although attacks slowed with a na.
tionwide decline in violence
The reason for the latest surge in attacks was unclear. But it coincides with strong lobbying by Christian leaders for parliament to restore a quota system to give religious minorities seats on provincial councils that will be chosen by voters before the end of January.

TOKYO (AP) - Nintendo's hit DS portable machine will come with a digital camera that will allow players to mix images, scribble on photos and create new faces, the Japanese game maker said.

The Nintendo DSi will go on sale in Japan on Nov. 1 for 18,900 yen ($180), and will be available overseas next year. Dates and other details for overseas plans will be announced later by the company's regional units later, president Satoru Iwata said.

Iwata said the revamped DS is meant to be the first toy camera for children and a tool for network-building and party fun for older people in the company's ongoing quest to make gaming popular with everyone - not just a niche crowd.

One in six Japanese already owns a DS, according to Kyoto-based Nintendo, which also makes Pokemon and Super Mario games. But the goal is to make the DS a must-have for every Japanese, Iwata said.

"We want to change the DS from something that's in every household to something that's for every person," he said.

The improved DSi is thinner than the current DS model, and will have a bigger screen, he said.

The machine also comes with an audio player, to play sound stored in a memory card. Users will be able to change the speed of the sound.

In a demonstration, Iwata showed that players will be able to listen to a foreign language lesson at a slower speed, or distort music or voices to a shrill pitch for fun.

Nintendo also demonstrated new game software for its hit Wii home console, including "Wii Music." Players just need to jiggle their remote controller to feel as though they are playing any of 60 musical instruments, including a drum set, sitar, saxophone and piano, although there are only 50 pre-programmed melodies.

Users will be able to make those tunes play electronically from their Wii machines at their own speed and whim - guaranteed to not sound a single incorrect note.

They will also be able to add personal touches, such as choosing accompanying instrumentation and genres such as jazz, reggae and rock.

Nintendo's star game designer Shigeru Miyamoto said he loves to practice guitar at home alone but he is intimidated about playing in front of an audience. "This removes all those obstacles to a jam session," he said.

Nintendo has sold 77.5 million Nintendo DS handheld devices worldwide, nearly 23 million in Japan, far outselling Sony Corp.'s rival offering, the PlayStation Portable, at 41 million globally - 10 million in Japan.

Iwata acknowledged that the pace of DS sales has been dwindling recently, and Nintendo was determined to reverse that with new offerings like the Nintendo DSi. (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)

Introduce Yourself / Tell Us About Your Lifestyle
October 14, 2008, 10:15:35 PM
siguradong iba lifestyle niyo jan compare nung nasa pinas pa kayo ...

I am totally dependent with my family for everything I need, it is just handed to me when I asked for it.

Sa Japan --- totally reversed....I learned to be independent, i learn how to cook, wash & iron my clothes, buy groceries, open my own bank account, and i was force to learn how to drive a car because it is a necessity here. Malalayo ang mga offices plus you can not go anywhere without a car especially sa lugar ng bahay ko dito sa Japan Shimohara malayo sa lahat pra siyang subdivision .
My new lifestyle includes the ff:
1. Adapting the american way of life and Japanese life to fit in like ( hindi lahat, yong bad custom nila hindi kasali  dito )
a. Being on time and making appointment wherever I go.
b. Being frank, speaking out loud whatever is on my mind.
c. I like to travel around different states to see the place and to compare how they live there.
  d. I mind my own business american way, i dont indulge in personal gossiping like what other pinoys do even when they are already here.
e. I use my visa card or personal checking checks to pay everything i buy.  People hardly carry cash here....this is the standard way of paying things here.  In other words, if you use credit card, utang yang....kaya ang mga kano utangero hehehe (tabi tabi po ang tamaan huwag po magagalit!)......they use credit card from buying gas, movie tickets, grocery, auto, houses, traveling, eating at restaurants, everywhere gamit nila yan . Kaya isa na ako sa mga mahilig umutang...which i never did back home.
;D
next time ulit, i will think of some more things to add here....

          In Our Hearts

We thought of you with love today.
      But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
      And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
      We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
     Your memory is our keepsake.
     With which we'll NEVER part.

God has you in his keeping.

Aira,

I read that book 2 years ago. A really great read, I admit.

It is not meant for the faint of heart, I submit to that. But it really is a good book, as you said, to remind us of the crimes committed by the Japanese in World War II.

It illustrates the savagery that Man-Kind can inflict on himself.

Hi Lorenzo!
this site  http://www.edogawa-u.ac.jp/~tmkelly/research_review_nanking.html is my husband review from the book "The Rape of Nanking" by:Iris Chang.
and everyone is open to say there own opinion about this. But as you said Lorenzo really is a good book.

if you like to know more about history of World War II this book I recommend;
The Rape Of Nanking
(An undeniable history in photograps)
by: Shi Young
      James Yin
Edited by Ron Dorfman
Foreword by Desmond M. Tutu
why? to remind the world of the forgotten holocaust of WWII, and to honor history and answer any attempt to deny or change it.

Good day Mr. Lorenzo,

Thank you for posting this wonderful song, I was inspire by this song, so just like to share this to everyone also...

The Teacup

There was a couple who used to go  to shop in the beautiful stores. They both liked antiques and pottery and especially teacups. One day in this beautiful shop they saw a beautiful teacup. They said, "May we see that? We've never seen one quite so beautiful." As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke.

"You don't understand," it said. "I haven't always been a teacup. There was a time when I was red and I was clay." My master took me and rolled me and patted me over and over and I yelled out, "let me alone", but he only smiled, "Not yet."

"Then I was placed on a spinning wheel," the teacup said, "and suddenly I was spun around and around and around. Stop it! I'm getting dizzy!" I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, 'Not yet."

Then he put me in the oven. I never felt such heat. I wondered why he wanted to burn me, and I yelled and knocked at the door. I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as He shook his head, "Not yet."

Finally the door opened, he put me on the shelf, and I began to cool. "There, that's better," I said. And he brushed and painted me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. "Stop it, stop it!" I cried. He only nodded, "Not yet."

Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. All the time I could see him through the opening nodding his head saying, "Not yet."

Then I knew there wasn't any hope. I would never make it. I was ready to give up. But the door opened and he took me out and placed me on the shelf. One hour later he handed me a mirror and said, "Look at yourself." And I did. I said, "That's not me; that couldn't be me. It's beautiful. I'm beautiful."

"I want you to remember," then, he said, "I know it hurts to be rolled and patted, but if I had left you alone, you'd have dried up. I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled.

I knew it hurt and was hot and disagreeable in the oven, but if I hadn't put you there, you would have cracked. I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn't done that, you never would have hardened; you would not have had any color in your life.

And if I hadn't put you back in that second oven, you wouldn't survive for very long because the hardness would not have held. Now you are a finished product. You are what I had in mind when I first began with you."

********

God knows what He's doing (for all of us).He is the Potter, and we are His clay.

He will mold us and make us, So that we may be made into a flawless piece of work To fulfill His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

God Bless to everyone! ;)
