#5
MORE CONSTRUCTION JOBS ON THE WAY.
#7
AT LAS WALA NA ANG BAHA.

Mahirap kasi magtrabaho! Lisod sad mangita ug trabaho! Kaya manghold-up na lang!

I went to this place during my vacation in 2004 with my family, we checked the facilities then later decided to stay at BBC. With the rates they have and mostly the private resorts in Panglao, we can say they are expensive. If global warming phenomena is true then it is a bad effect in tropical countries such as Philippines. In Europe, Korea, Japan and in the Americas, there are white sand beaches with excellent facilities which awaits only warm-sunny weather for them to utilise, further from that there are newly developed resorts in the middle east like Dubai and etc.
So, competition is very high in the international market.

#10
What a shame? They must be apprehended. Justice must be serve. Luoy intawon ning mga biktima.
#11
Is that you Dutch Cowboy? Thanks for the  video update guys.
#12
Thanks for the fresh info Mike. Condolence to the Manhilot family.
#13
Most Filipinos are inherently smart and bright who want to be rich at anyway, that makes our country poor. What we need is an attitude that we love one another, support each other and a sense of conviction and shame when we make mistakes to change for the better.
#14
I hope she will be alright now. On my future vacation/holiday in Bohol I might meet her and hoping she is on her best. Thanks.

It's amazing and inspirational! A lot of lesson to learn, it touches our everylife.

So with all the news I can not believe that she will do that.
#17
Yes. I knew her personally. From the time nga wala pasiya makatilaw ug uyab hanggang nagkakilala sila ni Joe. Mapagkatiwala-an, mabait at di-mahirap mahalin.
#18

During my younger days in the Philippines I used to work in a construction company in Makati. It seems one of the bidders in Panglao is familiar to me. I have some friends who try to established their own company, this is the moan "Politicians are always taking a percentage of any project that they approved and knew either directly or indirectly". In effect, project actual specification quality was being sacrifice. It is very difficult to change the attitude, it start with the politicians.
#20
I agree with you nat-cast they are all corrupt. If news report are being corrupted by twisting the truth how much more if it is money. We just hope that in the future it will improved by at least a lower percentage of politician involve in corruption. This is the only hope that we can expect in the Philippines.
#21
I like to visit that cave it seems interesting.

Good job para sa mga bantay dagat.

Sa una ug mag student visa ka, kasagaran taga-an ug 3 years to stay in  UK. Mao nga after 3 years you are entitled to permanent resident so mag-apply ka as permanent resident, so solve na imo problem you can stay in UK forever and bring your family. But now its different, the student visa is either 3 years or 2 years and the requirement for permanent resident is 5 years. So after 3 years if you can not renew your student visa then you have to go home.
The only remaining good news for student visa is you can bring your spouse with you once you are granted a student visa. It is good for those who have relatives to stay before they can find job or in case they do not find job. Those who have skills in hair styling and manicure/pedicure can easily find cash-on-hand jobs.
I started this topic to inform those who are interested to come to UK via student visa. These are the consequences.
#24
#25
A lot of young and old Filipinos came to UK recently in Student Visa, some good for 3 years and some 2 years. For information UK government now restricting student visa holders allowed to work for 24 hours a week only. Average Payment per hour is between 5.50 to 6.00 pounds.  Expenses when they arrived in UK are school fee, board and lodging. Further agencies in RP asking for big placement fee between 200,000.00 to 400,000.00 pesos per applicant, beware it is not profitable due to new UK employment rules. When arrived at UK it is difficult to find job some company do not accept student visa holders. Recent arrivals are searching on low paid cash-in-hand jobs to sustain needs. This is for information and advice. Thanks.

As a person of Boholano ancestry, most of us believe in God. Now we knew how the apostles died. Lots of question came to my mind, How am I leading my life? Do I have the true Christian belief and practices? Am I on the right religion? (See how Jesus and some apostles died, they are judge by Roman authorities or Barbaric crowds.) Which group I belong today? (Jesus and Apostles, Roman Authorities and Barbaric crowds.) Do I have the true Christian values today? (Similar to what Jesus and the apostles teached during their days.)

This is an intriguing topic with a big consequence in our life. Thanks.
#33
Yes, I agree with this phenomena of 40's and above. I had a similar feeling base on different aspects of life in the past. I think this is the time where an individual had to gauge himself of what level and factor of success he/she achieved and prepare for tomorrow.                                                                               There should be balance in every aspect which matters to life, to gain a near complete success before dying. It is about understanding life; What belief, health, wealth, education, family and etc. an individual had developed?
As a human being who believe in God, these prompts me to keep on balancing on the aspects of life to maintain strength and happiness.
Thanks.

This is one proof that someday cellphone signal can be converted to energy. It is a green and powerful energy.I hope someday some Pinoy scientist can convert  that to power a car or whatever.

It is very difficult if people just keep moaning and making conclusions without facts. If you have the evidence or links then why not tell the police/NBI or hire a lawyer to present it. Don't accuse the police of being corrupt and ill-trained. In the world today, what causes the credit crunch? It is due to corruption and fraud by people in the financial institution. The latest one, British Parliament members spending taxpayers money for extravagant personal expenses, such as claiming housing allowances and etc. (read in the internet). In the Philippines, I read the lifestyles of Mr. Martin in the enternet, he is typical strike anywhere guy who likes plenty of women around him. Remember, Bohol culture is not like that.
I support for justice, equal rights and oppurtunities for all the people involved, whether they are my friends or not. Thanks.

I believe that in any democratic country you have the rights to have a legal counsel supported with solid evidence. Laws are made to protect the interest of the general public. Philippines and England laws are made by lawmakers before the crime was committed. There are Filipinos who also die in England because of crime, vice versa a British man dies in the Philippines for this reason. We have one in common, to trust the justice system of these countries.

Ensakto ka kaayo Bay.

Whatever human society you came from; white, black ,yellow and brown race.We are just the same. They marry a filipina to find a better place in the sun and the filipina marry an expat thinking she has a richer husband. Thats "demand and supply" vice versa. Stop thinking white is better than black (see Obama now), maybe someday brown or yellow is the superpower. Remember the world evolves and so with technology.

April 17, 2008, 05:22:59 PM
Nice knowing you lady...thats a good information. High-Tech farming contributes to high prices and low quality of food. Farm products from the Philippines are results/or made by traditional farming method, which has high quality and considered as organic foods. In the western market this type of foods are very expensive. In EU organic food cost approximately double the cost of non-organic. It is good in the Philippines, people don't recognize that...organic/non-organic doesn't matter it is almost the same price.

It is true...Genetically Modified food products are not safe for human consumption, European Standards of Food and Safety. European Union bond the importing of rice from the USA because they found US rice has traces of GM, they recommend member nations to import rice from Asia. That contributes the rice shortage.

In my opinion, it is the Middle East-rich oil producing countries who has all the type of cars. Why? Because this countries has no restriction/no tax on cars, they shop all the models made from America, Europe and Asia. Where in the world? ....you can see... teenage boys playing-racing in the deserts using latest models of SUV ....with no police, no rules and no insurance. I don't mean we have to fight physically by having guerilla or suicide bombers because that is an act of terrorism against civilian and we can't gain friends or support from it. What I mean is we have to fight like the Palestinian in spirits because we knew we won't win the war but maybe in the wider sense we gain supports from those fair and freedom loving nations without politics. At least we show to the world, that we filipinos are brave and are ready to die for our country.

In the western world, people pay bigger percentage of tax to their governments while we in the Philippines we pay lesser, and despite of that majority of people try to avoid or escape paying tax. Tax revenue is the blood of economically stable country, these is where budgets are derived. It means more tax revenue the richer the country is.... Withis, I think our military defense problem will be solved, but again it is on trial because the filipino masses might not support that, like the US statehood campaign.

As I comment earlier; we must rely in ourselves, patronized what we have and be self sufficient. I think that is the only way that we can guarantee that our best interest as nation will be protected. I hope our politicians and the filipino masses who elect them, shall understand the true value of Nationalism.

Philippines can not be an American State. Why? Long time ago, for two seasons; first Spanish-American, then Japanese-American that was World War II
our forefathers were always asking for independence. Why? Because of pride, they said Fiipino freedom, we want our own identity and our own Filipino government and many other reasons. In our modern times do you think that idea will gain support? No.....for same reasons...further at present we have more Anti-American Organizations. Maybe that idea of statehood will win in Bohol. Remember after the Marcos regime, the late Assemblyman/Senator
Bartolome C. Cabangbang from Tubigon lead that campaign for statehood. What happen....nothing, no support from the Filipinos.

Remember...Why the Chinese and Indians are successfull? They stand with there own, they patronize what ever thay had and self-sufficiency. Most Chinese wore plain white T-shirts made in China while Filipinos want to wear T-shirts with NIKE printed on it. Indians they still wear their "Purong ng mga Bombay", they never change that to a baseball cap. These are the essence of nationalism that contributes and make them successful, most of filipinos dont have that. In the Spratly issue, without American support we can hold that, if we fight like the Palestinians.

These are the
characteristic of city driving. So... Why use big cars?... If you are not living in the mountain with rugged roads or you
are not in a race, why used these things? ....Maybe nagyayabang ka lang or you are ignorant. Sorry.... but maybe

Hindi ba ninyo alam!..... At present, with the West in economic crisis-banking credit crunch and if they don't recover..... it is East who will lead the world. Who are these countries?  It is China, and then followed by India. They are the incoming new superpowers. China's economic growth is 20%approx. while the west is in almost stagnant. This is the growing speculation of people in the business world. Imagine this scenario on how the world will change.

If Chinese is investing now in the Philippines and it is welcome by our government, that's a good sign... at least our leaders knew what they are
doing.

Imagine also, there will be more Chinese and Indian tourist coming to the Philippines in the future. Start preparing good comments for them.

So?... They are good and better than us. Why?

I consider the big business tycoons as Filipinos. They are citizens of this country and therefore, they are filipinos, tho they are of chinese race.

Sana lahat Pinoy...parang tayo mag-isip kabayang Macky Ferniz...siguro aasenso ang Pinas.
We are living in a free country and for me it is OK to have Chinese businessmen in our country as long as they do business fairly.

They are not really a threat at all, infact they are the front runners and engine of our economy. Without them, our market will be stagnant.

The real threat our country is facing at present and as ever before is corruption. Corrupt officials who hoard our resources and hide it in bank accounts of foreign accomplice.

These tycoons like Gocongwei were not born with a silver spoon. They excel through discipline, determination, thriftiness and perseverance. They should be the role model among all of us Pinoys.

Hope I said it well folks.

Results of my pondering:

- Our very own Fil-Chinese are not a threat. They are our role models for economic survival.
- Fil-Chinese came to the Philippines due to one reason and that is to flee from persecution from Chinese communist party. Hence, I don't think they have allegiance in any form to the present Chinese government.
- In case Chinese Government happens to collaborate with Philippine government, I believe Fil-chinese community would be the first to oppose.
- Real threat to our country is corruption by our public officials.
- The biggest threat I could imagine is a consented exploitation of our natural resources by the Chinese government through our government officials.

okokokey.

WAR is always the last result, it happens when two opposing ideas/individuals/groups meet its end point and where negotiations failed.
WAR as in the Bible, it happens first in the heavens as The Almighty God cleansed his heavenly kingdom of Satan and his followers.
What happen next? The second war which is on our World-Earth and the space around, it is a silent war of spirits/conscience
whether you follow God or Satan. War of good and bad will stop only when God The Almighty execute judgement day...it means
end of Satan, its followers and doings.
WAR as some people say is a form of art, it is in the form of military war, business war and etc., it has no end.
