Beck's is right Xavi was excellent, but I think Fernando Torres should given credit for the Euro win too.

MADRID (AFP) - Former England captain David Beckham claimed on Sunday that his ex-Real Madrid team-mate Zinedine Zidane is the best player of all time.

The 33-year-old Englishman told sports daily Marca that it had been a dream come true to play alongside Zidane for three years at Real.

"To train with Zidane for three years (2003-06) was a dream," confessed Beckham, who has been capped over 100 times by his country.

"For me he is the greatest player of all time."

Beckham, who is now playing for Los Angeles Galaxy, also believed that the best Spanish player at the moment is Barcelona's playmaker Xavi, who inspired Spain to the Euro 2008 title last month and was judged player of the tournament.

However, Beckham also thinks that goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who he knows from his time at Real, should be awarded world player of the year after several outstanding performances at the Euro.

Beckham also denied he wished to become an actor even though he is living in Hollywood but that he would like to return to Madrid - where he still has a house - one day and work with the youth side at Real.

In yet another example of the recent furor about BlackBerry overtime, legal experts are now warning employers that lawsuits are just around the corner. Attorneys are advising corporations to re-think who they give a BlackBerry to, and suggest that non-exempt employees -- in other words, those eligible for overtime -- shouldn't receive a phone.

Experts say that a disgruntled former employee is the most likely instigator of a lawsuit. Some lawyers are starting to make noise that BlackBerry overtime is grounds for litigation, and they would seek out these ex-workers. Paul Lopez, head of the labor and employment department at Tripp Scott, said that companies who don't ask employees to record their after hours use would be in an especially bad position to defend against a claim. There's a lot of after hours work, too -- 25% of respondents to a recent survey said they plan to use their BlackBerry for work even while on vacation, and a further 9% said their bosses expected them to at least keep up with email and voicemail, if not actively work, while on their vacation time. While most would agree that the latter is a bit extreme, the rest of it is up for debate: do you think after hours BlackBerry use should be compensated?

Technology / How To Cure Your CrackBerry Habit

I thought this might be useful for BlackBerry addicts.. =)

How To Cure Your CrackBerry Habit
By: Bethenny Frankel

1. Leave the device away from the bed at all times. It's obtrusive, intrusive, disturbing and the sheer knowledge that is right there makes you look at it at night and first thing in the morning. Allow some significant time before bed and after rising to turn off the device.

2. Turn off your BlackBerry at all meal times (especially when with others.) If at a restaurant, try to leave it in the car or in a jacket pocket. It is rude to use them in a restaurant as it is to use when dining with others. It is a terrible habit to be distracted while eating (it makes you eat more and disturbs digestion) and mealtime should be a sacred time to simply relax and nourish your body.

3. When on vacation, check it only twice. It is not necessary to respond to every single interaction someone attempts with you. I tend to respond to even the stupidest request that could easily wait hours or even days.

4. Allocate times of the day that you will answer everything at once. Of course, the workday in an office may be an exception, but try to return texts and emails the way you sit down and pay your bills. My problem is I pay each one as I get it, which is why I'm worse at this than anyone.

5. Get out of the habit of silly personal texts and emails. Keep your device for work and limit the need for its use.

6. When going to the movies, the gym, for a walk or to do a few errands, leave the BlackBerry at home.

Glory to Man United!!!

Manchester United won the Champions League after beating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties after a dramatic 1-1 draw.

Cristiano Ronaldo headed United in front after 26 minutes but Frank Lampard equalised before the interval.

Lampard and Didier Drogba hit the woodwork before the striker saw red in extra-time for slapping Nemanja Vidic.

Ronaldo missed his penalty, but John Terry hit the post with a kick that would have won it for Chelsea and Edwin van der Sar saved from Nicolas Anelka.

It sparked wild celebrations for Sir Alex Ferguson and his players in the Moscow rain as United won Europe's elite trophy for the third time, a triumph made more poignant as it came 50 years on from the Munich air crash.

Ferguson had made it his mission to take the trophy back to Manchester this year in memory of those who died, and those who survived, in the tragedy in Munich in February 1958.

And it gave the 66-year-old Scot his second Champions League triumph, repeating the success against Bayern Munich in Barcelona in 1999.

General Topic / Money can buy happiness!
March 24, 2008, 04:41:38 AM

Money can buy happiness -- as long as it is spent on other people or on pro-social causes, scientists said Thursday.

Research to be published in the journal Science on Friday proves the scientific grounds behind the adage it's emotionally better to give than to receive, said Elizabeth Dunn, a psychologist at the University of British Columbia in this city on Canada's Pacific Coast.

The researchers ran three experiments to measure how happy people felt after either spending money on themselves, or giving money to pro-social causes such as buying someone a meal or a charitable donation.

"We found that people who reported spending more money on others were happier," said Dunn, lead author of the study co-authored by master's student Lara Aknin and Michael Norton of the Harvard Business School.

Dunn said previous studies found a correlation between happiness and charitable giving, but the new research revealed that pro-social giving is an actual cause of happiness.

"We provide the evidence for this idea that's been around for a while," Dunn told AFP.

The first study simply measured how happy 630 Americans said they felt, rated on a scale of one to five, after they either spent money on themselves or gave to others. Those who gave reported being happier.
The second study measured the change in happiness of workers at a company after they spent a profit-sharing bonus of between 3,000 dollars and 8,000 dollars.

"Those who spent more of their bonus on pro-social spending were happier," said Dunn, with the difference between spending none of the bonus on others compared to spending one-third on others showing a full 20 percent increase in happiness.

What affected happiness, she added, "was not so much the size of the bonus but how they spent it ... the message is not that people should get high-paying jobs to earn as much as possible and spend it on others."

In the third experiment, university students in Vancouver were given either five dollars or 20 dollars and instructed to spend the money that same day.

Half were told to spend the money on themselves, while the rest were told to treat others. At the end of the day, students who spent their money on others reported being happier, said the report.
"The vast majority of research in this area has been to examine the relationship between how much money people make and how happy they are," said Dunn. "What we did instead is to look at how people use what they have."

Dunn said she next wants to investigate whether giving time or volunteering services would boost happiness as much as giving money.

Business and Economy / Earning money through AdSense
March 20, 2008, 06:51:44 AM

Hi Guys, here's a new way to earn extra cash.

Adsense is a contextual advertising program by Google which allows website publishers to generate revenue from their sites by placing ads from the Google Adwords network on them. Each time these ads are clicked on by one of your visitors you earn a share of the revenue that Google makes from charging that particular advertiser.

Adsense Publisher earnings range from less than $1 a day on one website to over $10,000 a day across a network of websites. The reality is that making money with Adsense has very little to do with Adsense and has everything to do with building websites that target and attract a market. Once you've got people, Adsense is made for monetizing them.

Hence, succeeding with Adsense is largely tied to being successful online and requires that you learn and develop your website building, keyword research, niche market finding, copywriting, search engine optimization and link building skills.
