yes, after 7 years I am pregnant again, the second time. Guess, 7 is just our lucky number…lolz. Some friends do find time to email me every now and then just to check on me and I am really touched by their mails. Even though, we’ve only known each other online (digital world kuno!). truly, I miss the people here. That is why, I am here again mg samok-samok napud ko…lolz. This is my story…

The pregnancy… when I missed my period last September, it was my husbands idea to have a pregnancy test at home, he was even the one who bought the pregnancy kit at the pharmacy and according to him all the saleslady were looking at him and laughing....lolz. And then there was it, after a few minutes the kit says + and he was jumping with joy, he was even shouting, hugging and kissing me all over. The sweetest moment that I have to cherish forever. But that happiness soon became sadness for all of us for he has to leave again for work the next day. My husband is an OFW in Saudi Arabia, working his butts off to make sure all the ATM in the kingdom is in perfect working condition. that’s what he does. He is one of the thousands of Engineer working in the Middle East trying to give his family the best of everything. Enduring the heat, the sand and most of all the homesickness. If only, Philippines had better economy like the rest of the world then we wouldn’t want to live apart from each other. Coz it’s really hard and painful.

My first visit to the doctor was really, really heartbreaking. I was on my 8th week then that the doctor advised me to have TVS ultrasound just to make sure if the baby is okay since I had some spotting earlier. The sonologist (also an OB/GYN doctor) found out that I had SUBCHRONIC HEMORRHAGE which means there’s an internal bleeding around my uterus and there’s a 50-50 chance of miscarriage if the bleeding won’t stop. So I had to take a lot of medicines for it and my Ob advised me to have a complete bed rest for the first trimester of my pregnancy. ‘Twas the hardest days of my life. Waking up in early in the morning, taking various meds, hoping and praying that the baby inside me would survive. Explaining everyday to my son that her yaya will be the one to assist his needs for the meantime coz I had to lie on the bed the entire day for the baby’ sake.  And thank God, he understands everything that’s happening and he adjusted well. Now, im on my 16th week of pregnancy and yesterday I visited my Ob again, there’s been  positive development and she said that my baby would survive 90% since the spotting had stop and she can already detect my baby’s heartbeat via Doppler. And it’s really a good sign. Right now, im still on a complete bed rest and meds. I will be online here in TB every now and then but not like  before nga akong dagway naa ra sa TB…lolz. Coz resting is still my main priority and gaining weight…hahaha! Besides 1 or 2hours being online is already very stressful for me right now…hehehe!

Little Leroy came into the kitchen where his mother was making dinner. His birthday was coming up and he
thought this was a good time to tell his mother what he wanted. "Mom, I want a bike for my birthday."

Little Leroy was a bit of a troublemaker. He had gotten into trouble at school and at home. Leroy's mother asked him if he thought he deserved to get a bike for his birthday. Little Leroy, of course, thought he did. Leroy's mother, being a Christian woman, wanted him to reflect on his behavior over the last year and write a letter to God and tell him why he deserved a bike for his birthday.

Little Leroy stomped up the steps to his room and sat down to write God a letter.

LETTER 1:
Dear God,
I have been a very good boy this year
and I would like a bike For my birthday.
I want a red one.
Your friend, Leroy

Leroy knew this wasn't true. He had not been a very good boy this year, so he tore up the letter and started over.

LETTER 2:
Dear God:
This is your friend Leroy. I have been
a pretty good boy this year, and I
would like a red bike for my birthday.

Leroy knew, even if it was true, this letter was not going to get him a bike. By now, Leroy was very upset. He went downstairs and told his mother he wanted to go to church. Leroy's mother thought her plan had worked because Leroy looked very sad. "Just be home in time for dinner," his mother said. Leroy walked down the street to the church and up to the altar. He Looked around to see if anyone was
there. He picked up a statue of the Virgin Mary. He slipped it under his shirt and ran out of the church, down the street, into his house, and up to his room. He shut the door to his room and sat down with a piece of paper and a pen. Leroy began to write his final letter to God.

Stanton - Father Felix Cubelo, pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Stanton, Texas died Friday, June 8, 2007 in Stanton.

Fr. Cubelo was born in Candijay, Bohol, Philippines, January 28, 1948. Father Cubelo's seminary preparation was in the Philippines where he was ordained April 17, 1973. Following his ordination Father served in various parishes in the Philippines from 1973 to 2001. He arrived in San Angelo in July 2001.

After studying Spanish in Mexico for several months, he was assigned as Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart and St. Thomas Parishes in Big Spring in November 2001. During that time he also served as the Sacramental Minister at Our Lady of San Juan Parish in Midland. In July 2002, in addition to his Parochial Vicar assignment, Fr. Cubelo began ministry as a part-time chaplain at the Federal Correctional Institution in Big Spring. In August 2006 Fr. Cubelo was assigned as Pastor at St. Joseph Parish in Stanton and St. Isidore Mission in Lenorah. During that time he also continued his part-time chaplain ministry at the Federal Correctional Institution in Big Spring. Father's service in West Texas was made possible through the permission of Most Reverend Christian Noel, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Talibon, Philippines.

Fr. Cubelo is survived by his mother, Rosario Cubelo of the Philippines, his sister Josie Cubelo of California, and 6 brothers and two sisters who live in the Philippines. His father, Alfredo Cubelo, is deceased.

A Wake Service and Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Church in Stanton at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 11. Deacon Clemente Villa will preside and Father James Plagens will deliver the Homily. Father's funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Stanton High School Auditorium at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 12. Bishop Michael Pfeifer, O.M.I. will be the celebrant and Father Floro Hinicay will deliver the homily. Fr. Cubelo will be returned to the Philippines for interment.

Researchers from the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University have shown how an ingredient found in chocolate seems to exert its anti-cancer properties - findings that might be used one day to design novel cancer treatments. The study, published in the April issue of the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, explains how pentameric procyanidin (pentamer), a natural compound found in cocoa, deactivates a number of proteins that likely work in concert to push a cancer cell to continually divide.

Chocolate is made from the beans of cacao trees, and, like some other plants, are rich in natural antioxidants known as flavonoids. These antioxidants may protect cells from the damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals, which are thought to contribute to both heart disease and cancer development. The primary family of flavonoids contributing to the antioxidant benefit in chocolate is the procyanidins, and of the various types of procyanidins, pentamer seem to be strongest, according to a number of studies.

designated as masculine or feminine. "House," in French,

One puzzled student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"
The teacher did not know, and the word wasn't in her French
dictionary. So for fun she split the class into two groups
appropriately enough, by gender and asked them to decide
whether "computer" should be a masculine or feminine noun.

recommendation.

The men's group decided that computers should definitely be
of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because:

A Filipino is having breakfast in a hotel in France one morning...
coffee, croissants, bread, butter, jam when an American, chewing gum,
sits down next to him.

The Pinoy ignores the Kano (slang for americans) who, nevertheless,
starts a conversation:

*Kano: "You Filipinos eat the whole bread??"
*Pinoy: (nayayabangan sa Kano): "Of course."
*Kano: (after blowing a huge bubble) "We don't. In America, we only eat
what's inside. The crusts we collect in a container, recycle it,
transform them into croissants and sell them to the Philippines."

The American has a smirk on his face. The Pinoy listens in silence.
Still the American persists.

*Kano: "Do you eat jelly with the bread??"
*Pinoy: "Of Course."
*Kano: (cracking his gum between his teeth and chuckling). "We don't.
In America we eat fresh fruits for breakfast, then we put all the peels,
seeds, and leftovers in containers, recycle them, transform them into
jam and sell the jam to the Philippines."

The Pinoy (asar na talaga) asks: "Do you have sex in America?"
*Kano: "Why, of course we do."
*Pinoy: (now smirking): "And what do you do with the condoms once you've
used them?"
*Kano: (a bit puzzled): "We throw them away, of course."
*Pinoy: "We don't. In my beloved Philippines, we put them in a
container, recycle them, melt them into chewing gum and sell them to
America."

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven , God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael the Archangel found him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God, "Where have you been?"

God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."

Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put Life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance."

"Balance?" inquired Michael, still confused. God explained, Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, but cold and harsh while pointing to different parts of earth. "For example, Northern southern Europe is going to be poor but sunny and pleasant."

"I have made some lands abundant in water and other lands parched deserts."
"This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a group of Islands and said, "What are those?"

"Ah," said God. "That's the Philippines , the most glorious place on earth. There are beautiful beaches, rivers, mountains and forests. The people from the Philippines are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent and humorous and they are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking and high achieving and they will be known throughout the world as carriers of peace and love."

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed, "What about balance, God? You said there would be balance." God replied wisely,

"Wait until you see the idiots that are elected as their leaders."

Signs of a Cheating Spouse

1) He/She shows a sudden interest in a different type of music.
2) Spouse's co-workers are uncomfortable in your presence.
3) He/She has a sudden preoccupation with his or her appearance.
4) Spends an excessive amount of time on the computer when you are asleep.
5) The amount of money being deposited into your checking account drops off.
6) You find items of intimate apparel that you did not give your spouse.
7) Your spouse seems less comfortable around you and is "touchy"
You get calls where the caller hangs up when he or she hears your voice.

South Beach Diet Phase

THE Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has allocated P44 million for the reclamation, widening of the causeway and construction of a roll on-roll-off ramp for the port of Ubay town.

In a letter to Gov. Erico Aumentado, General Manager Oscar Sevilla said the PPA already conducted a pre-bid conference last Dec. 20 for projects nationwide to include the Ubay port. He said construction will start within the first quarter of 2007.

“Atty. Sevilla’s letter is in response to our request to include the extension, expansion and improvement of the Ubay port in PPA’s Port Development Program for 2007,” Aumentado said.
The governor earlier learned that PPA allocated P2.7 billion for ports development in the country especially those covered by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s Strong Republic Nautical Highway, hence the request. Ubay is strategically located along this nautical highway.

To note, Bohol is set to develop its first-ever Special Economic Zone (SEZ) â€" a 40-hectare consolidated area in Barangay Achila in Ubay, with another 180 hectares nearby for a housing project â€" just a mere three kilometers from the port, he justified.

The Ubay Port is Bohol’s principal gateway to Leyte, Samar, Matnog in Sorsogon and on to Pasay City and back to Bohol where Megastar and Philtranco have at least twice daily trips.

It is also Bohol’s gateway to Mindanao via Southern Leyte and on to Surigao del Norte and other Mindanao destinations with Bachelor and Ceres bus lines set to use the port for the purpose.

Aumentado who hails from the town said the port has also been giving Ubayanos and other Boholanos the convenience of an embarkation point of passengers for Cebu, the hub of Central Visayas , through four vessels plying the route daily.

Ubay is the commercial center of northeastern Bohol , the biggest of the 47 towns in terms of population, land area and income. The only first class municipality in Bohol , Ubay is targeted to be the next city, he said.

With the justification, Sevilla expressed appreciation over the governor’s interest in port development in Bohol .

“Please rest assured that your concerns are being addressed,” he said.
