Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round peg in the square holes....
The one who see things differently ---they're not fond of the rules...
You can agree with them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't
do is ignore them because many they change things, they push the human society race forward
and while some people may see them as crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough
to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Jokes and Humor / Corporate Lesson
March 16, 2012, 12:49:10 PM
Corporate Lesson 1:

A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.

The priest nearly had an accident.

After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.

The nun said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest removed his hand.

But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest apologized, "Sorry sister but the flesh is weak."

Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129.

It said, "Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory."

MORAL LESSON OF THE STORY:

If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

How To Tips / How to make a Solar Bottle Bulb
February 10, 2012, 04:51:45 PM
The needed materials are: 1.5 liter soda bottle, 1’x 1’ roof sheet material, purified water, camera film dispenser, chlorine and a rubber sealant.

Procedure:

Step 1. Fill the 1.5 liter clear soda bottle with purified water then add 3 tablespoons of liquid bleach and tightly seal the cap. Do not use tap water because this will allow the growth of moss.

Step 2. Make a hole in the 1’x1’ roof sheet material, just the same size of the bottle’s circumference and insert the bottom part of the bottle leaving it exposed under the sunlight.

Step 3. Make another hole on the roof of the house (same as the bottle’s circumference) where you want to put the solar bulb and firmly fix the device.

Step 4. Seal the roof with a sealant to prevent raindrops from getting inside the house. It will produce a light when the water inside the bottle bulb refracts and scatters the light inside the house.

The Solar Bottle Bulb is expected to last up to two years before it needs changing.

Never Underestimate a Woman

There was a man who had worked all of his life and had saved all of his money and was a real miser when it came to his money. He loved money more than just about anything, and just before he died, he said to his wife, “Now listen. When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me.”

And so he got his wife to promise him with all of her heart that when he died, she would put all of the money in the casket with him. Well, he died. He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was sitting there in black, and her friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said, “Wait just a minute!” She had a box with her. She came over with the box and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down and rolled it away.

So her friend said, “Girl, I know you weren’t fool enough to put all that money in there with your husband.” She said, “Listen, I’m a GOOD woman; I can’t go back on my word. I promised him that I would put that money in the casket with him.”

“You mean to tell me you put all that money in the casket with him!!!?”

“I sure did,” said the wife. “I wrote him a check.”......

Padayon nga giatiman kadtong nangabot nga kabataan nga gustong magpatuli.

DHAKAâ€"Farmers in a parched district of northern Bangladesh are marrying off frogs in a desperate bid to bring on monsoon rains and protect their crops, local officials said Wednesday.

Bangladesh suffered its driest July in decades, prompting farmers to turn to the centuries-old rain-making ritual of celebrating frog marriages, officials say.

"There have been lot of frog marriages as there has been hardly any rainfall here even though it's monsoon season," Sadullahpur district government administrator Ariful Haq said.

At a frog wedding in Ramchandrapur village, 300 villagers dressed in their best clothes attended the festivities, said Tajul Islam, who was at the wedding.

"The frog bride and groom are highly decorated with a red streak of color on their forehead and carried in a special basket to a banana-leaf stage," he said.

"Villagers sing songs, make offerings of rice and grass, then after the ceremony the married frogs are released in the village pond," he said, adding that all the village children then got traditional sweets.

Monsoon rains normally sweep Bangladesh from June to September, with the country receiving more than 75 percent of its annual rainfall during this period.

In July, usually the wettest month of the year, Bangladesh received 36 percent less rain than last year, said Shah Alam, deputy chief of the weather department.

"The rainfall in July was the lowest in the last three decades," he said.

Scientists say Bangladesh is one of the countries worst hit by the effects of climate change with extreme weather conditions such as drought and flooding likely to increase in the future.

"The situation is horrible. The farmers hardly have enough water to plant paddy crops. The water bodies have dried up," Sadullahpur district government administrator Haq said.

UNBEATABLE DAD

A teenage boy had just passed his driving test and inquired of his father as to when they could discuss his use of the car.
His father said he'd make a deal with his son: 'You bring your  grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut. Then we'll talk about the car.'
The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer, and they agreed on it.
After about six weeks his father said, 'Son, you've brought your  grade sup and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't had your hair cut.
The boy said, 'You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair...and there's even strong evidence that Jesus had long hair.'

You're going to love the Dad's reply:

'Did you also notice they all walked everywhere they went'

Family & Parenting / Secrets of Family Success
June 16, 2010, 05:28:13 PM
Secret 1
The Right Priorities

“Make sure of the more important things.”â€"Philippians 1:10.

What this means. In successful marriages, each spouse puts the other’s needs ahead of self, possessions, job, friends, and even other relatives. Husband and wife spend plenty of time with each other and with the children. Both are willing to make sacrifices for the interests of the family.â€"Philippians

Secret 2
Commitment

“What God has yoked together let no man put apart.”â€"Matthew 19:6.

What this means. Successful couples view their marriage as a permanent union. When a problem arises, they strive to solve it rather than use it as an excuse to abandon the marriage. When spouses have a sense of commitment, they feel secure. Each trusts that the other will continue to honor the union

Secret 3
Teamwork

“Two are better than one . . . If one of them should fall, the other one can raise his partner up.”â€"Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10.

What this means. Successful couples respect God’s headship arrangement as outlined in the Bible. (Ephesians 5:22-24) Nevertheless, both husband and wife view their marriage in terms of “ours” and “we” rather than “mine” and “me.” When there is teamwork, husband and wife are no longer single at heart. They are “one flesh”â€"a Bible term that describes not only the permanence of the union but also its intimacy.â€"Genesis 2:24.

Secret 4
Respect

“Let all . . . screaming and abusive speech be taken away from you.”â€"Ephesians 4:31.

What this means. Both troubled and successful families have disagreements. But successful families discuss matters without resorting to sarcasm, insults, and other forms of abusive speech. Family members treat one another as they themselves would like to be treated.â€"Matthew 7:12.

Secret 5
Reasonableness

“Let your reasonableness become known.”â€"Philippians 4:5.

What this means. In successful families, husbands and wives make allowances for each other’s mistakes. (Romans 3:23) They are also neither unduly rigid nor overly permissive with their children. They set a modest number of household rules. When correction is needed, they give it “to the proper degree.”â€"Jeremiah 30:11.

Secret 6
Forgiveness

“Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely.”â€"Colossians 3:13.

What this means. Successful couples learn from the past; but they do not keep track of old grievances and then use these to make sweeping assertions, such as “You are always late” or “You never listen.” Both husband and wife believe that “it is beauty . . . to pass over transgression.”â€"Proverbs 19:11.

Secret 7
A Firm Foundation

What this means. Strong families do not endure automatically, any more than a house just keeps standing for many decades. A solid structure needs a firm foundation, and the same is true of a strong family. Successful families are built on a source of guidance that works.

Pray and invite others to pray
the Rosary on June 13.

Dear Friends,On June 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared at Fatima and told the 3 seers:

"Jesus wishes to use you in order to make me known and loved. He wishes to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world.

"I promise salvation to those who embrace it; and these souls will be beloved of God like flowers arranged by me to adorn His throne."

What a magnificent promise!

And today, you can participate in that promise by:

praying the Rosary yourself on June 13, and

inviting your friends to pray the Rosary too

Share this invitation with your friends.

Why is this so important?

Because the Rosary is so powerful. Yet it is neglected by so many people who really need to:

know and love Our Lady

practice devotion to Her Immaculate Heart

gain eternal salvation and to be like flowers that She will use to adorn the Throne of God
Our Lord wants to use devotion to Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart to save sinners from going to Hell, and to prevent the many tragedies we are witnessing today because people do not pray the Rosary and do not amend their lives.

It takes a minute to pass on this message to your friends, but it could do them an eternity of good.

Invite friends to pray the Rosary on June 13.

Naay niingon unsay akong ikahatag kanimo ug ikapalit

Unsaon pa man ka nako karon

Garage Door

The boss walked into the office one morning not knowing his zipper was down and his fly area wide open. His assistant walked up to him and said, 'This morning when you left your house, did you close your garage door?' The boss told her he knew he'd closed the garage door, and walked into his office puzzled by the question.

As he finished his paperwork, he suddenly noticed his fly was open, and zipped it up. He then understood his assistant's question about his 'garage door.'

He headed out for a cup of coffee and paused by her desk to ask, 'When my garage door was open, did you see my Hummer parked in there?'

She smiled and said, 'No, I didn't. All I saw was an old mini van with two flat tires..

Oh! Akong Bohol.....Nganong Idlas Man Ka?
by: Bugsay

Sa dapit nga akong gikamingawan
Nindot ang kasilinganan, kabungtoran ug ang lapyahan
Didto nahulma ang tam-is nga mga handumanan
Sa panahon sa akong kabatan-onan.

Probinsiya nga gitawag ug Bohol nga mauy akong namat-an

Dia pa kos layong kapupod-an nanimpad
Naningkamot alang sa ugma damlag
Basin di madugay matigayon ug makabalik diha kanimo nga akong SAG.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina â€" Argentina's president thinks eating pig meat is really sexy.

Many people in this beef-loving nation reacted with surprise Thursday after Cristina Fernandez promoted pork in a speech during which she not only said pork is better than Viagra, but suggested she's personally proven it.

"I didn't know that eating pork improved sexual activity," Fernandez said in a meeting with representatives of the swine industry late Wednesday. "It is much more gratifying to eat some grilled pork than to take Viagra."

She even joked that "it was all good" after she enjoyed some pork with her husband, former President Nestor Kirchner.

"I think they might be right," Fernandez said to a laughing audience.

The president's half-joking speech in which she announced subsidies for the pork industry won prominent play on television and radio stations, prompting discussions on whether Argentines should add more pork to their diet.

Argentines are among the world's biggest consumers of red meat, and most people here stubbornly reject the idea of replacing beef with chicken, pork or other meats. Despite Argentina lying along rich South Atlantic fisheries, seafood is rarely seen on dinner tables.

Fernandez approved subsidies to keep the price of pork low despite inflation, and her government has also recently subsidized red meat producers after beef supplies sharply declined in the South American country.

The head of the association of pork producers, Juan Luis Uccelli, supported Fernandez's speech by saying that Denmark and Japan have a much more "harmonious" sexual life then the Argentines because they eat a lot of pig meat.

"In Osaka, Japan, there is a village in which the people who reached 105 years old and ate a lot of pork had a lot of sexual activity," he told radio Mitre.

Others were skeptical.

"There is no study showing that pork meat significantly improves sexual activity," Amado Bechara, a specialist in sexual disfunction, told the Web site of the newspaper La Nacion.

Good Samaritans Wanted
by: Ver F. Pacete

JESUS Christ was emphatic in saying that what we do to the least of our brothers, we are doing it for Him. Feed the hungry. Give justice to the widow. Shed light to the ignorant. Comfort the miserable. Share what you have. Listen to the innocent voices. Or, just teach A, B, C, D to the day care children.

While I was on my way to Iloilo City to attend the conference at the Department of Tourism, I met Doctor Terence Scott, an American neurologist and author doing research on "Divining Mental Processes." At first, I thought he was James Coburn. He called my attention when he saw the Western Visayas Situationer I was holding. He borrowed it and said, "Your islands are beautiful but something is wrong with the leadership."

Well, he said a lot about our government. Of course, we read them all in the papers. His critical analysis sounded painful because he is a foreigner. I was hurt by the truth. Dr. Scott zeroed in on one observation. "I have visited Baguio, Olongapo, San Fernando, Manila, Cebu, Tacloban, Dipolog, General Santos, Tawi-Tawi Island, San Carlos and Bacolod. I am on my way to Iloilo and Antique. In the places I visited, I always encounter Filipinos who are mentally ill."

Smiles disappeared from his face. "I just don't know what your government is doing about them. They are supposed to be in the hospital...treated, given attention. There should be a substantial budget for their recovery. But, I see them in your parks, in the market, in front of your government building, lying at the sidewalk. They could be somewhere else, too."

He opened his pocket notebook and identified some common terms for people who are mentally sick...bu****, baliw, sinto-sinto, taong-grasa, lukring nasiraan ng bait, tulero and basag-utak. Since, he is a doctor and I am not; I ask him on what could be the possible causes. He answered me based on his interviews, research and documents in his possession.

"Some have been drug addicts. They were not given proper rehabilitation. Some are victims of extreme hunger. Some are outcast in society...very low self-esteem, rejection by their employers, battered wives, victims of torture, of rape." Long silence. Twisted lips. Sharp look. Uncertain. Deep breath.

"Mr. Pacete, you know what is hurting? These people are your countrymen. They are not in foreign lands. They are right under your nose. What is your government doing? You have complete agencies to handle this case-Health, Social Welfare, Charitable Institutions. And, churches...many of them are just there-priests, pastors, sisters, brothers. Uh! Their institutions receive donations!" Scott shook his head. "I just don't know. You, Filipinos are unique. Your candidates on television spoke about cooperation, honesty, service, housing, livelihood, environment, industry..."

I was not able to hear some of his words. His statements were penetrating. And, why of all people inside MV Weesam Express he found me? My limited knowledge in the field of psychoanalysis as elaborated by Sigmund Freud flashed back. Yes, in the Philippines we see "buangs" in strategic places.

They are in our city streets pretending to be conducting traffic (rain or shine); standing in the middle of the plaza delivering oration or declamation pieces, murmuring at the side of the church, sitting at the sidewalk almost naked while school children and teachers view them in full, inspecting garbage receptacles and gathering whatever pleases them, and worst some of them have been raped or bullied by gang members. Is there a committee in our LGUs looking after their welfare?

Our religion teaches us that we are made to the image and likeness of God. Is it possible that the "buangs" in our midst sport the image of God? If we don't agree on this, probably, it's an acceptance that we do not have the image and likeness of God. Therefore, we come from the apes! And, it is no laughing matter!

When I came to my senses, we were already docking at the port. Probably, Doctor Scott went ahead to join the other apes. I looked up at high heavens and prayed, "Lord, please, send us good Samaritans from among the apes. Amen."

ONE of the tragic things about Filipinos is that wherever tragedy strikes in the world, one of us is bound to be involved.

When ocean liners sink at sea, we usually hear news of a number of Filipinos suffering in the tragedy. When a bomb blows up in Iraq, there is bound to be a Filipino onsite. And when a convoy of workers is attacked in Afghanistan, one of our countrymen may just be among the victims.

Sure, you may say, but so are Americans and Europeans.

They are usually the passengers in those cruise liners that sink at sea. They will be the soldiers targeted by those roadside bombs in Iraq. And they are usually the contractors who may be attacked by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

But with one big difference.

Americans and Europeans are in those places because they choose to be there. Our countrymen are there because they have to be.

Despite Mrs. Macapagal-Arroyo’s claims to the country, the sad fact is that we are a destitute nation. So bad is the state of our economy that our greater Filipino family has to send its sons and daughters abroad so that we will have food on our table.

In a way, this is something to be proud about.

The world entrusts us with its infirm and its elderly.

We provide comfort and relaxation to weary Westerners, as they escape from the rat race and get away to their destinations of choice.

And we provide order in the homes of so many families around the world, as without us chaos will reign over their households.

But it cannot be denied that most of our countrymen have to resort to lives away from their beloved country, because there is nothing for them to do back here that would enable them to have some semblance of a decent livelihood.

If they chose to remain here, they would probably be unemployed, or, at the very least, working in jobs that would not be able to support their family’s needs.

And that’s why they leave.

Not in the hundreds.

Not even in the thousands.

They leave in the tens and hundreds of thousands.

Every day, to every conceivable destination on earth.

Just this week, the impoverished island nation of Haiti was rocked by a powerful earthquake.

And guess what?

Some of our countrymen too perished underneath the rubble.

All right, some of them were there working as United Nations diplomats, while others were on duty as UN peacekeepers.

But among their number were ordinary workers who left to work in a very poor country like Haiti, because at least there, they earned more than they could possibly hope for in their own land.

Yet again, something for our next President to think about.

Not that he has to prevent our countrymen from leaving the country. Mobility and freedom to travel is after all a right that everyone ought to enjoy.

But there is one important thing he must note.

The situation cannot be as it is today, when almost everyone who queues up for a passport needs to do so in order to get a better paying job abroad.

When almost everyone who leaves does so unwillingly and with much sadness, if only to provide his or her family a better life.

Our countrymen must be no different than the Americans and the Europeans.

They should be able to leave their country anytime, to be sure.

But they must only do so because they choose to, and not because they have to.

HANDUMANAN SA USA KA b***t

Sa bata pa kong gamay,
Pinangga kaayo ko sa akong tatay
Walay ning bugal-bugal ug ni tamay
Sa akong ambungan nga panagway.

Sa nag panuigon nako ug hingkod,
Daghang babaye ang nag-gukod
Sila nangasukamod ug nangapangos ang tuhod,
Basta ila lang kong masuod.

Apan usa ka higayon naagi-an ko ug liti.
Ug kalit nausab ang akong pamati,
ang akong gitakuban kalit nga na paksi,
Ug ninglangtad ang akong tinuod nga gibati.

Nag kaanam ug kaputi ang akong dagway,
Ug akong anino nagsugod na ug kiay-kiay.
Apan ako ning gitago sa akong tatay,
Basin iya kong mabitay sa puno-an sa kamunggay.

Ug wala madugay nasakpan gyud ni Tatay,
Nga mag t-back ko kanunay.

Naglingkod, nagpahuway.

Sa tanang nakabasa
Akong ikasulti mao ra
Kamo bay b***t
Lalim ba?

The Police reunion is 2007’s top concert tour grosser

They never announced they disbanded. They only said they went separate ways. But their 2007 reunion tour dispels common notion that they have been forgotten.

The Police posted the highest-grossing concert tour for 2007, raking in $132 million in the United States and $212 million worldwide. The tour is still ongoing, with the Latin American leg ended earlier this month. The tour will restart on Jan. 17 in New Zealand.

The trio of Sting, Andy Summers, and Steward Copeland, had a US take way above the runner-up in the Pollster list. Country star Kenny Chesney figured $71 million in his own tour, which is nearly half of the 80s New Wave rockers’ earnings.

It was a year of stellar reunions, including the successful comebacks of Genesis and 2007 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Van Halen, which both packed arenas as if the 80s were not over. The North American tour of the three-man band, composed of Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford, and Tony Banks, earned $47.6 million, while its international concert gross reached $129 million, considered the second best behind The Police.

Van Halen, meanwhile, registered $57 million in earnings for its US tour.

The Real Meaning of Luxury
by Paulo Subido October 09, 2009

1.) You are cruising along EDSA in your 1.6-liter econo-box doing a reasonable 80kph without a care in the world, when all of a sudden a Porsche 911 comes roaring at you from behind. At first it is a speck in your rearview, and within seconds it blasts through to the horizon ahead. Wow. You then wonder what it is like to be behind the wheel of a machine that can effortlessly glide to speeds twice what your own car can achieve.

2.) You are at a car club meet with your buddies who pamper their subcompact Japanese sedans. Each of you spent the whole day detailing your cars and are beaming with pride. A Nissan GT-R then pulls up in front of your group and parks close by. Your club's thunder is stolen and all of you can't help but drool.

3.) You have a classy event to attend at the ballroom of Shangri-La Makati and you pull up to the lobby. Your date is absolutely lovely, but your ride looks very small (and cheap) in comparison to the big Benzes and BMWs lined up at the front. You love your ride, but at that moment you wish that you could be ferrying your date in style-particularly when she says to drop her off away from the entrance and quickly stumbles out of your car to avoid being seen.

These three scenarios happen all the time. It can't be helped that image and presentation counts for plenty in this city. Who am I to judge how things work around here, though? What I do know is that I'm a car nut with a deep appreciation for machinery and engineering. If you surf TopGear.com and read the magazine you probably are car nuts, too. Now, here's the thing: I consider myself privileged and honored to have a job like this. I get to drive all sorts of cars, and with this ‘duty' a new way of seeing things developed for me. Never do I feel bad about not owning the awesome Subaru WRX STi, the killer BMW 7-Series, or the gangster Chrysler 300C Hemi. I've driven them and loved the experiences, but I'm always careful to keep my feet on the ground. Truth be told, I would rather drive my '97 Lancer every day. I don't envy the lucky owners of these cars, nor do I make assumptions based on somebody's wheels. Although, I do try to flex my powers of observation whenever I get the chance.

Whenever I see a car I sometimes wonder what the owner is like (keeping in mind that I learned a very long time ago that if you judge a man by what car he drives, you still have much to learn). It shouldn't be about the car, actually. What I am observant about is if the ride-regardless of whether it is BMW M3 or Chery QQ-is in good shape. Do the wheels have sufficient tread? Are the taillights, headlights, signal lights and wipers working? Are essential bits and pieces missing from the bodywork? Does it belch smoke? Are the shock absorbers still alive? Those are the "important" things that catch my attention. When I see a car that is in good working order, it tells me all that I need to know-that the owner gives a damn about his (and his family's) safety, and of course, the safety of the countless others that share the road with him. That says plenty enough, regardless of how much the car costs. But, I am human and forget this sometimes. There are countless situations that conspire to remind me about this, though.

I was at the neighborhood car wash one Sunday afternoon. The car I was driving was a very luxurious Mercedes-Benz C 180 lent to me by CATS Motors for the weekend. I will admit that it felt great to be behind the wheel of that thing. Really, you know upon driving it why it costs P2.58 million. While sitting and admiring the Benz's rear end, a white Kia Pride parked beside "my" Mercedes to get a wash. I hate to admit this now but for a second I felt so smug. But then I had to stop myself after this scene transpired before me: The Pride was in immaculate shape-no dents or scratches. An even bigger surprise was how the owner and his toddler son were helping the washboys clean the Pride, while the mother sat patiently and lovingly watched her two "boys." There was obvious attachment and dedication to the car there. Dare I say that the owner was real proud of his wheels, and his son was getting a kick out of helping his dad clean it. It was then that I felt like such a schmuck for looking down on that "lowly" Pride-especially as it seemed like a well-loved member of their family. Needless to say it was another one of those poignant moments for me- and I wanted to kick myself in the head.

The lesson that I want to impart is to love the car that you are driving-whether it is an owner-type jeepney, a Japanese sedan from the early nineties, or a secondhand Tamaraw FX. Keep it in good running order at all times with proper maintenance, fixing what needs fixing as soon as possible.

Practice driving safely a defensively, too. When you get the chance, learn techniques from the racing pros so that when you finally get your hands on that German or Japanese sports car you will know how to truly enjoy it-without causing an accident.
Lastly, don't ever take your car for granted. When you think about it, in this third-world country of ours even just owning an automobile is a luxury in itself. It's all a matter of perspective-just like how for many using a taxi is considered ‘splurging' when one can take a jeep instead.

You will have the car of your dreams one day. It is always good to aspire for something special and work hard to get it. And believe me, when you do have that BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus in your garage, you will look back and have fond memories of that bucket you used to drive.

That Porsche that just flew passed you like your car was standing still? Keep in mind that it takes plenty of skill to handle a high-performance machine like that, the fundamentals of which you can learn with any car-regardless of the price. Start practicing basic car control. It won't be any less fun in your econo-box. That guy who owns the GT-R? Instead of just being awe-struck, why not approach him? He may be friendly person, and if you are lucky he may even take you around the block. Oh, and that girl who doesn't want to be seen riding your economy car? She definitely isn't worth it.

I think a life without hang-ups will be a luxurious one. Should that be the case, let's start living it up!

A Partridge in a Pear Tree

The partridge in a pear tree is Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, whose birthday we celebrate on December 25, the first day of Christmas. In the song, Christ is symbolically presented as a mother partridge that feigns injury to decoy predators from her helpless nestlings, recalling the expression of Christ's sadness over the fate of Jerusalem : " Jerusalem ! Jerusalem ! How often would I have sheltered you under my wings, as a hen does her chicks, but you would not have it so . . . ." (Luke 13:34)

Not sure if you guys have seen or heard this video.

This is a video of a 13-year old boy singing a song for which he wrote
the lyrics and composed the music.  Incidentally, he also has a very
nice singing voice, into which he puts all of the nuances of emotion,
pathos and passion that he can muster at his tender age.  This boy gives
this song, which has a very strong message, ALL he has in his
presentation.
