Jokes and Humor / The Arab Dog vs. the Israeli Dog

The Arab Dog vs. the Israeli Dog

The Israelis and Arabs realized that, if they continued fighting, they would someday end up destroying the whole world. So, they decided to settle their dispute with an ancient practice: A duel of two, like David and Goliath. This duel would be a dog fight.

The negotiators agreed each side would take 5 years to develop the best fighting dog they could. The dog that won the fight would earn its people the right to rule the disputed areas. The losing side would have to lay down its arms for good.

The Arabs found the biggest, meanest Doberman's and Rottweiler's in the world. They bred them together and then crossed their offspring with the meanest Siberian wolves.

They selected only the biggest, strongest puppy of each litter, fed it the best food and killed all the other puppies. They used steroids and trainers in their quest for the perfect killing machine. And after the 5 years were up, they had a dog that needed steel prison bars on its cage. Only expert trainers could handle this incredibly nasty and ferocious beast.

When the day of the big dog-fight finally arrived, the Israelis showed up with a very strange-looking animal, a Dachshund that was 10 feet long!

Everyone at the dogfight arena felt sorry for the Israelis. No one there seriously thought this weird, odd-looking animal stood any chance against the growling beast over in the Arab camp. All the bookies took a look and predicted that the Arab dog would win in less than a minute.

As the cages were opened, the Dachshund very slowly waddled towards the center of the ring.

The Arab dog leaped from its cage and charged the giant ''wiener-dog''. As he got to within an inch of the Israeli dog, the Dachshund opened its jaws and swallowed the Arab beast whole in one bite. There was nothing left but a small puff of fur from the Arab killer dog's tail floating to the ground.

The stunned crowd of international observers, bookies and media personnel let out a collective gasp of disbelief and surprise.

The Arabs approached the Israelis, muttering and shaking their heads in disbelief. "We do not understand," said their leader, "Our top scientists and breeders worked for 5 long years with the meanest, biggest Doberman's, Rottweiler's and Siberian wolves, and they developed an incredible killing machine of a dog!"

The Israelis replied. "Well, for 5 years, we have had a team of Filipino plastic surgeons from Vicky Bello working to make an alligator look like a Dachshund.

The Philippines air force has decided to purchase 12 TA-50 trainer jets from South Korea in a project worth nearly $360 million, a Philippines broadcaster reported Wednesday.

The aircraft produced by Korea Aerospace Industries will be delivered within next year, ABS-CBN reported citing air force officials.

TA-50 trainer jet. (Defense Acquisition Program Administration)

The trainer jets are priced at 1.25 billion pesos ($29.8 million) each, it added.

Seoul’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration, however, said that although it was working on exporting the TA-50 to the Philippines it has yet to receive any confirmation on the issue.

According to reports, the Philippine government is conducting a 70 billion peso program to update its military’s equipment, and a significant proportion of the budget is to be directed into bolstering the air force.

The TA-50 is a weaponry-equipped trainer jet with attack and operational capabilities matching those of the KF-16 fighter jets operated by the Korean Air Force.

The TA-50 is fitted with the F404-GE102 engine used in the F-18 fighter jet, and is equipped with digital flight control systems and radar.

Seoul’s Air Force currently operates 21 TA-50 trainer fighter jets, and the first batch of Air Force pilots trained in the aircraft will go into active service at the end of the year.

Stephen Hawking: 'There Is No Heaven'

LONDON -- Famed theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking finds no room for heaven in his vision of the cosmos.

In an interview published Monday in The Guardian newspaper, the 69-year-old says the human brain is like a computer that will stop working when its components fail.

He says: "There is no heaven or afterlife for broken-down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark."

In "Grand Design," a book published last year, Hawking had declared that it was "not necessary to invoke God ... to get the universe going."

Hawking is nearly totally paralyzed by motor neurone disease, diagnosed when he was 21.

Hawking says he is not afraid of death, but adds: "I'm in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first."

Thousands of male Indonesian civil servants had their monthly pay transferred to their wives' bank accounts this week in a bid by a local government to stop men having affairs.

The Gorontalo administration on northern Sulawesi island issued the recommendation early this year to its 3200 civil servants, saying it would help control funds usually spent on mistresses.

"Men are usually unable to control their behaviour if they have too much money in their pocket," government spokesman Rifly Katili said.

"I'm pretty sure this will eliminate the possibility of love affairs that undermine families."

About 90 percent of the workers are voluntarily taking part in the initiative, Katili said.

"This kind of initiative will also empower the employees' wives to learn about household budget management," he said.

Katili said many wives had complained to the governor that their husbands withheld how much they earned, typically between one and four million rupiah ($110-$440) a month.

PNoy allocates P100M for 2 nd district towns of Bohol for waterworks project.

TEN “waterless” towns in Bohol's 2 nd District stand to get waterworks systems with a P100 million allocation from the Aquino administration. Rep. Erico Aumentado said the beneficiary towns are President Garcia, Ubay, Bien Unido, San Miguel, Talibon, Getafe, Buenavista, Inabanga, San Isidro and Trinidad which he had recommended for waterworks funding under the Provincewide Investment for Public Health (PIPH) program launched jointly by the DOH and the provincial government during his watch as governor. He said the allocation then was only P6 million each. However, Health Sec. Enrique Ona allocated P10M for each project with a 10% counterpart required from each beneficiary town. The solon had told Ona that nine out of 10 towns are ready with their counterparts after he put up P500,000 for each.

The Aumentado allocation closes the gap for these towns to ensure meeting their counterpart requirement. These towns could not have inserted the amount in their respective budgets, these being approved already late last year. The solon is still working out with Trinidad, the 10 th local government unit recommended in the PIPH. For that purpose, he has written Mayor Roberto Cajes of his offer to put up P500,000 for the town's equity contribution. Aumentado informed Ona that his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) allocation has been prioritizing health, waterworks, energization, education and livelihood services, strategic tourism and support infrastructure

He assured the secretary that his counterpart fund for these towns' waterworks is only initial, and that he is prepared to further support the projects â€" especially their future expansion. In another development, Aumentary formalized his request for the realignment of P800,000 out of the P1 million allocated for the Biabas, Ubay birthing center to barangay Sentinela also in Ubay because the Biabas project was basically completed last year. The remaining P200,000 shall be used for the floor tiling and other improvements on the Biabas facility. He said Ubay Mayor Eutiquio Bernales joined him in selecting Sentinela because it is strategically located to serve also the barangays of Tapal, San Isidro and the highly populated island of Tres Reyes nearby.

What do you think, are the 3 Filipinos sentenced to die in China this coming March 30, 2011 purely victims ?

or, they are the living evidence that Filipinos are Gullible people as Harvard social research institute disclosed lately.
#53
Are Filipinos most Gullible (uto-uto) people in the world according to Harvard social research institute?

SUPERSTITION or (pato-o to-o) is one of the proof that filipinos are gullible, it is said that if a bride tries fitting/wearing her gown before the wedding, the wedding would be canceled.. and if you sleep while your hair is wet, you would become crazy or go blind. about 70% filipinos i know believes that.

prove it yourself by asking a filipina bride to fit her gown, or asking any filipino to sleep right after bath, or using an umbrella inside a house, or sweep the house at night, etc. i'm pretty sure that they will refuse it to do because superstition.

The day I ate the flying rat, sorry, pigeon.
by SAM WELBECK on FEBRUARY 28, 2010

I grew up in London England. I grew up not far from Trafalgar Square in Central London, the home of the pigeon. I grew up believing that pigeons are rats with wings. I don’t mean that in a sort of metaphorical sense, I literally mean that I have always considered a pigeon to be the bird version of a rat. A vermin. A pest. A dirty animal which feeds on next to anything including, when in hard times, other birds. The uncaring, selfish cousin of fowl which breeds just for the sake of annoying me. A bird which likes to wait up above on branches and lamp posts and on the tip of bus stop signs, for me to appear down below in my best suit, just dry cleaned and ironed and en route to a very important customer meeting; just to sh*t on me. Yes I used that word. It takes a lot for me to use that word. I really need you to know just how hard it was for me to put one of these “feathered gremlins’” into my mouth â€" MY MOUTH â€" the gate to my inner being, the doorway to my health and well being.

Quotable Quotes / The Carpenter's House
January 30, 2011, 02:49:14 PM

An elderly Carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.

He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front door key to the carpenter. "This is your house" he said , "my gift to you".

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house , he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none to well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at a situation we have created and find that now we are living in the house we have built. If we had realized we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter . Think about you house . Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says,"Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today

moral lesson..
as tha saying goes live life to the fullest,..give ur best shots coz u dnt know wat will happen tommorrow, life is full of surprises so we should do always the right thing and we should put all our extra effort not just to please others but to our selves also.,,..
