after a year from being diagnosed to SLE. im feelin good now tho ga myopia ghapon ko! well that coudnt stop me from what I want to be.. Im workin now as a nurse, im connected with the DOH (1 yr. contract) im assign at our RHU but on this 16th ill be assigned now at Cong. Simeon Toribio Memorial Hospital in Carmen Bohol... I do biking everyday for fun and excercise.. health is wealth!

  yesterday, me and my hubby bought two nubian goats
we plan to raise goats and aim to have a ranch!
whew! sounds interesting right?

my doctor says "bawal mabuntis"

Im 2 weeks delayed...
delay stuff is normal with me...
but lately nag normal nman ang akong menstruation
and I found out Im 2 weeks delayed...
I might be pregnant!
mixed emotions for this.. I dont know if I should be happy or sad....
for God sake! I am too eager to have a baby of our own...
but my doctor says not now....

and after Ive read about lupus and pregnancy...
I feel scared of getting pregnant now...


it is a high risk,,,
risk for miscarriage.
and the baby is high risk for a congenital heart block...
pray for me guys...
I havent test my urine yet... thrilling....

It is often complicated to smile or be happy when things are not the way you want them to be.

Being sick with lupus made me understand that my illness should not beat me and I never lose hope that no matter how much pain I’m in right now God is doing something for my situation and it is always for the best.
Life is too short and we ...should always squeeze every moment we can have to be happy because everything that happens in our lives is a lesson we must learn and indulge.

The person I used to be became a lonesome individual now..
It’s really hard to smile or be happy when things are not the way you want them to be.
But life must go on. God has given me this second chance…... and I have to make things right and determined. I want everyone will be happy and benefited with everything I have done. Life is really too short, we have only nominal interlude to do good for everyone, so every second counts.

When you are facing such difficulty in your life and there seems to be no way out, what do you do?

When God seems silent and distant and you feel like you’re all alone.. Many times I feel that way but I’m trying to keep the faith and rely on God’s promises..
He repeatedly promised

As I see my tenants face as the carabao has been sold...
I felt sad for him...
he looks like losing his own kid...
my tenant took care of my carabao for 6 years..
they been together for 6 six years, everyday ang kabaw intawun iyang kuyug-kuyug,,
sa uwan ug sa init mag daro sa umahan...
anyway I am buying a new carabao for him naman tomorrow pohon...

we will be goin to a parada in Sagbayan tomorrow to buy acarabao for my tenant.
I had been to a parada last week, it was my first time...
as in what a wonderful feeling jud...

anybody there have treadmill?
as I have research on the net it is better to buy the motorized one, but my budget for this, is good only for the manual machine price.
I am buying this such equipment, aside from the fact I want to get slimmer (aherm), as my physician asked me to do so, for my own good. I do usually go for walking these past months but my hubby is too hesitant to allow me to go on walking again since my eyes is affected from the cerebral infarct and I couldnt see things now clearly, and he is afraid I might be bitten by a stray dogs.
My sissy is sponsoring me this equiptment I am goin to buy, but what she can afford is 15k only. motorized treadmill cost 34k, anybody here knows where to buy cheap motoruzed treamill? I don't care if its second hand, as long as its still work, and kaya nang budget.

Ill be pushing on all my dreams because I rather prefer to live with failure than to live with regrets.... In just the right time --- Ill be pushing on all my dreams.... I am too optimistic that everything will put into normal... I am blessed lucky and gifted... God has given me a special gift.. the gift of vision, commitment and willingness to do whatever it takes....

I think Ate Lee had posted here about my sotuation because i asked her so... I thank you all for your prayers, There is really nothing imposible if we only believed in him.. Last January I was hospitalized at St. Jude hospital in Tagbilaran for I think 4 days because of on and off fever, then my physician suspected for Lupus, but his diagnosis for me was dengue because my platelet was low and Boohol dont have a Lupus Panel tetst to confirm his doubt. after 4 days na discharge and I was prescribed for steroids then and refer for another doc to see me with his doubt about Lupus.  better then and aside from the fact nga wala mi to consult another doc because I feltso what we did we went home to our hometown wala nami mi bother sa referal bcause aside from the fact nga wala mi lkwarta baya...
Then pila ray istorya, pila ka adlaw milabay I go to work... my forst exposure as a registered nurse, nag duty ko sa community for 2 shifts, then mipauli ko sa Pilar then after pila ka adlaw, I remember I texted my sister that I am manifesting nga naa koy nakita nga flashing of lights sa akomata, I ask my sissy if side effects ba ni sya sa tagbilaaran community, then na dmit nasad ko didto, my Neuro doc suspected for internal bleeding kay nag suka daw ko redish, then nagpa ct scan mi sa rAMIRO then ang result sa ct scan was negative,  my sister insisted mga dili jud daw negative dapat kay mura na daw jud ko mamatay sa kasakit sa akong ulo... so they decided to brought me to Cebu, so the nexr morning they rushed min cebu to cebu doc and everything was arrannged then so gi tagbo nami sa ambulance sa cebu doc. my doc in cbu advise for rereading on the same playe I had sa ramiro what the hospital foud was CEREBRAL INFARCT . I really thank God for guiding everyone jud kay ug wala pakona forward sa cebu, I dont know..... then lupus panel ws also perfoemed, sus Ginoo ko one lad procedure ka mahal bah 32 rgousand daw? ten itwas positive.. I have Lupus..

Her name is Juliette Jesha Marie Ente (my niece) a.k.a. JUJEM, she's 1 year & eight months.
I was amaze with Jujem because at her early age, she does learn a lot of things. she memorize easily, like when you teach her now the sound of an animal, she then memorize right there and then, as in dali ra sya makahibalo, like the parts of the body, from eyes, to eye lashes, to eye brows, to forehead, to nose, to check, to neck, to mouth, to teeth,to her tummy, to her umbilicus, the toes-knees-shoulder as in gyud.. na amaze lang ko niya. she then even tell you where she live... how old is she, the name of her nanay, kuya, ate & the rest of the family.
When I read her a storybook, as in attentive kaayo. I read to her last time about sa Bible story nga THE Beginning, then after the story, I ask her nah, The Lord made the earth and He says let there be? then my niece answered "LIGHT" diba amazing?

Though politician si Dr. Conching Lim, and my dad was her supporter before, wala naman gud akong papa woi nga mo help nako.
the reason why i choose this hospital its because, since its my first exposure as an RN na gyud, as in dili mapugngan ang kulba-hinam nga feeling wui. though naa nay nag pasalig nako by January next year adto sa Tagb. Community, mas maayo siguro nga ma has-hasan sah ko una sa dili tantong busy nga hospital bah para dili ko ma shock pohon. for experience lang gyud, and para ma hashasan sad akong skills wui.

that our Nursing Research  mentor (Ms. Kathleen Corina Te) was one of the passenger  sa M/V Princess of the Stars (Sulpicio).

This morning, I received another message forwarded from our other mentor confirming that MS. Te was really a passenger of that ship... and until now, her name wasn't at the Survivor list...

guys, I am asking your prayers... Hope that our mentor will survive...

   To be effective with a dynamic, complex health care system and to help clients achieve their best potential, nurses need to be knowledgeable, resourceful and able to work well with other health care practitioners.  The nurse is a key participant within interdisciplinary teams whose members share expertise, establish collaborative strategies, and use information technology to achieve, sustain and uphold quality care (Kozier, B., 2002).
   An increasing number of nurses migrating to other countries somehow affects the quality of health care services in the sense that highly skilled, specialized and more experienced nurses were already leaving the country while fresh graduates starts their journey of the nursing profession by having their clinical experience in local hospitals and eventually they too will leave the country.
   The Department of Health reported that the continuing exodus of Filipino nurses abroad is already threatening the country’s health care system, since a large number of public health care workers have been leaving the country to seek greener pasture abroad (The Philippine Star, 2008).
   These factors affecting quality nursing care needs to be identified to promote awareness, good communication among health care practitioners and other institutions and better nursing relationship with the clients. Moreover, as these factors are identified, measures will be implemented to improve quality healthcare services.
   Recently, nursing around the world has evolved and is striving to give quality nursing care through evidenced based-practice, as such thousands of nursing researches were conducted every year (Polit, D., 2004).
   The purpose of this study is to provide direction, improve and maintain the integrity of health care professionals particularly the nurses. This study will show evidence to support how clients can receive a satisfaction and guaranteed health care services from nurses.
   With these observations, the researchers were motivated and inspired to conduct a study on “Factors Affecting the Quality of Healthcare Services Rendered by Nurses in Mandaue City Hospital”.


Discussion of the Theoretical Framework

Sister Callista Roy's model offers a classification for stressors that may affect adaptation. Her system concentrates on adaptive behaviors and the set of processes by which an individual adapts to environmental stressors. It is composed of philosophic assumptions, classes of stimuli and coping mechanisms.
A person is a biopsychosocial being creating a united system that searches for balance. Health is defined as a state of adaptation due to successful coping with stressors, and ?a process of being able to respond positively to environmental changes. Whereas, illness is the ineffective coping on a continuum from death toward adaptation. Environment is defined as external surroundings and influences that affect a person's development. Nursing will foster successful coping through manipulation of stimuli. It can help man adapt to changes in his physiological needs, self-concept, role function, and interdependent relations during health and illness. 
There are two philosophical assumptions in Roy’s Adaptation theory: First, is Humanism.  It is believed that the individual shares in creative power, behaves with determination, not in an order of cause and effect. It holds intrinsic holism as well as aims to uphold integrity and to recognize the need for relationship.
Second, Veritivity, believed that the individual in society is seen in the perspective of purposefulness of human existence, unity of humankind purpose, activity and creativity for humankind, value and meaning of existence (George, J.B.,2002).
Adaptation is the process and result where thinking and feeling persons use conscious awareness and choice to produce human and environmental integration. Roy's Adaptation Model is composed of modes of behavior, classes of stimuli, and two subsystems.
Four adaptive modes of behavior resulting from coping: physiologic, self-concept, role function, & interdependent relationships. Classes of stimuli are the combined effect of these stimuli that will show the person's adaptation level. A person's adaptation level determines the zone that shows the range of stimulation that will have an adaptive response. If additional stimuli land outside the zone, the person is unable to respond positively, and thus, ineffective coping occurs.  The Classes of stimuli are: focal - directly confronting the person, contextual - other stimuli present and residual -Non-specific stimuli. Regulator subsystem is made up of mostly automatic neural, endocrine, and chemical activity. Cognator subsystem, includes cognitive-emotive pathways and presents perceptual/information processing, learning, judgment, and emotion.
The desired outcome of the Adaptation Model is a position in which conditions promote the person's goals. The goal has been reached when any positive response from the recipient to the stimuli present releases energy for responses to other stimuli. The goal of adaptation is advanced through nursing assessment and intervention, including the client as an active participant (Leddy, S. & Pepper, J.M., 1998).


Discussion of the Conceptual Framework
   The above illustration shows that the quality of health care services rendered by nurses are affected by the following factors: basic skills, psychosocial characteristics, nurse profile and professional background.
   In this study, the researchers would like to determine if the following factors: Demographic Profile of the Nurses, the Basic Nursing skills as well as the psychosocial characteristics will affect the quality of health care rendered by the nurses to the clients of Mandaue City Hospital.  The first factor, demographic profile of the nurses refers to the age, sex, civil status and salary. The second factor, basic nursing skills refer to the basic nursing procedures and the ability to give medication and charting. The psychosocial characteristics are the work-related factors that refer to the following antecedent variables: position, length of services; job satisfaction, and leadership behavior.

Many suggested, that sa street children nalang ta manghatag ug gifts instead sa Orphanage Home ..
Kay sa Orphanage man gud daw, daghan na ang mo-adto didto since its December... so why not let other Kids on the street feel the LOVE from TB? by giving toys & food to them?

I had talked to Santa BABY na... she says nag send sya money na thru SIGBIN2, and I tried to contact Sigbin, wala pamay reply..

I ask Sigbin, to send me nalang sa money, I ok lang nila, maybe, half of it? kay akong e buy ug toys diri sa cebu, since murag mas cheaper pa diri.. so, maybe, I'll just buy a toy sa girls (parihas tanan) and also for boys (parihas rasad tanan..) and I will just wrap nalang..

I failed my subject this past trimester... Maybe I deserve with this... Relax lang kaayo ko sa akong studies...

When I went back to Cebu last weekend, I found out this stuff along my trip...

I was so dismay about this people who do the PALAY DRYING at the street... dili ba ang dalan is AGI-ANAN? Some of the folks are drying some rice at the street which bother the passers, may cause accident, & may delay the travel. Some of it are occupying the whole one lane of the road... as in grabeh na kaayo sah? This usually happened during sa harvest seasons... as in super duper maka irita sya, and would rather cause accident because some of them are putting there Palay at the Blind Curve section which is very piligro?! Could the DPWH responsible for this?

Can anybody help this on how to solve this problem? This happen to our province (BOHOL)...
