He who is truth says that whoever utters blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will be pardoned neither in this age nor in the age to come. From this sentence we understand that certain offenses can be forgiven in this age, but certain others in the age to come. [St. Gregory the Great, Dial. 4, 39: PL 77, 396; cf. Mt 12:32-36.]"

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resources/apologetics/purgatory/purgatory-in-the-catechism-of-the-catholic-church/

It is not  "this age" refers to the time of Jesus Christ before His death in the cross
and "the age to come" was the time when he resurrected until now?

Are they friends?

The Monkey And The Cat

Once upon a time a Cat and a Monkey lived as pets in the same house. They were great friends and were constantly in all sorts of mischief together. What they seemed to think of more than anything else was to get something to eat, and it did not matter much to them how they got it.

One day they were sitting by the fire, watching some chestnuts roasting on the hearth. How to get them was the question.

"I would gladly get them," said the cunning Monkey, "but you are much more skillful at such things than I am. Pull them out and I'll divide them between us."

Pussy stretched out her paw very carefully, pushed aside some of the cinders, and drew back her paw very quickly. Then she tried it again, this time pulling a chestnut half out of the fire. A third time and she drew out the chestnut. This performance she went through several times, each time singeing her paw severely. As fast as she pulled the chestnuts out of the fire, the Monkey ate them up.

Now the master came in, and away scampered the rascals, Mistress Cat with a burnt paw and no chestnuts. From that time on, they say, she contented herself with mice and rats and had little to do with Sir Monkey.

Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you,
leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him.  Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison.
Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.

He can not claim in his painting that is Jesus, and for me i did not considered this as Jesus Christ the one written in the bible.

And if he claim that:

(Revelation 2:9)
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

(Leviticus 24:13-16)
And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

Bible Study / First Council of Nicaea
January 27, 2013, 07:17:16 PM
Position of Arius (Arianism)
Arius maintained that the Son of God was a Creature, made from nothing; and that he was God's First Production, before all ages. And he argued that everything else was created through the Son. Thus, said the Arians, only the Son was directly created and begotten of God; and therefore there was a time that He had no existence. Arius believed the Son Jesus was capable of His own free will of right and wrong, and that "were He in the truest sense a son, He must have come after the Father, therefore the time obviously was when He was not, and hence He was a finite being,"[39] and was under God the Father. The Arians appealed to Scripture, quoting verses such as John 14:28: "the Father is greater than I", and also Colossians 1:15: "Firstborn of all creation."

Position of St. Alexander
Alexander and the Nicene fathers countered the Arians' argument, saying that the Father's fatherhood, like all of his attributes, is eternal. Thus, the Father was always a father, and that the Son, therefore, always existed with him. The Nicene fathers believed that to follow the Arian view destroyed the unity of the Godhead, and made the Son unequal to the Father, in contravention of the Scriptures ("I and the Father are one"; John 10:30). Further on it says "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me"; John 17:21.
Result of the debate
The Council declared that the Son was true God, co-eternal with the Father and begotten from His same substance, arguing that such a doctrine best codified the Scriptural presentation of the Son as well as traditional Christian belief about him handed down from the Apostles. Under Constantine's influence,[40] this belief was expressed by the bishops in the Nicene Statement, which would form the basis of what has since been known as the Nicene Creed.

Thanks Father Brand for your inspiring definition of PIT Señor, it coincide as we celebrate now the year of FAITH.  :D

I heard this from the homily of a priest that the word Pit is referring to a baby Jesus.

Now, why we call Him Señor? why not  Junior?  We call Him Señor, because this little child was born to lead us to the heaven, He taught us how to become a good children of God, by obeying the commandments and follow the will of the Father.

Just to share with you this Advent wreath in family.
(it´s worth family practice)

On the First Sunday of Advent, the father of the family blesses the wreath, praying:
O God, by whose word all things are sanctified, pour forth Thy blessing upon this wreath, and grant that we who use it may prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ and may receive from Thee abundant graces. Who livest and reignest forever. Amen.”

He then continues for each of the days of the first week of Advent,
O Lord, stir up Thy might, we beg thee, and come, that by Thy protection we may deserve to be rescued from the threatening dangers of our sins and saved by Thy deliverance. Who livest and reignest forever. Amen.”
The youngest child then lights one purple candle.

During the second week of Advent, the father prays: O Lord, stir up our hearts that we may prepare for Thy only begotten Son, that through His coming we may be made worthy to serve Thee with pure minds. Who livest and reignest forever. Amen.”
The oldest child then lights the purple candle from the first week plus one more purple candle.

During the third week of Advent, the father prays: O Lord, we beg Thee, incline Thy ear to our prayers and enlighten the darkness of our minds by the grace of Thy visitation. Who livest and reignest forever. Amen.”
The mother then lights the two previously lit purple candles plus the rose candle.

Finally, the father prays during the fourth week of Advent, O Lord, stir up Thy power, we pray Thee, and come; and with great might help us, that with the help of Thy grace, Thy merciful forgiveness may hasten what our sins impede. Who livest and reignest forever. Amen.”
The father then lights all of the candles of the wreath.

Since Advent is a time to stir-up our faith in the Lord, the wreath and its prayers provide us a way to augment this special preparation for Christmas. Moreover, this good tradition helps us to remain vigilant in our homes and not lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas.

We call to be vigilant at all times, may this season of advent may we expect Christ instead of Santa Claus, may we longing for the Child Jesus to enter our hearts as a humble King of Kings who was born in the manger instead of gifts from our nenong/nenang or buy new stuffs.
Sometimes we forget the true meaning of Christmas, we think all for convenient during this season by buying what is lacking for us even in the text when we greet somebody we make it "X Mas" for Christmas.

God the Father, when your Son is still with his chosen ones, he stilled the storm of the sea, and he imparted a valuable lesson: that in the midst of trembling, one has to foster faith above all else. He showed to us what we must fear above all else: doubt, since doubt is our way of not trusting you, Who is above all else.

Now we experience the familiar trembling in our hearts. In these hours of fear, we turn again to you, in the name of Jesus, that we may face the storms of life with faith and trust in You. We turn to you as nature accuses us of its weary lot, since we profess ourselves as your children, and You as our Father.
...
We invoke the most powerful name of Jesus, to calm the storms of life. And may every storm lead to the restoration of peace, and most of all -- to our unshakable faith in you.

We ask the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all the saints, that they may send you their sweetest supplications. Look with love and mercy to us, who with them, are co-heirs to the heavenly promises. May your protection be ever felt like never before.

We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Computers are getting smarter and sneakier all the time, prompting fears of robot conquest of the Earth.  But it may be that robots will overcome us with love, not war â€" for instance, humans may prefer robot lovers.
