Actually, this is getting boring, Ms. Wolf. But then again I have time in my hands, and there is no sweeter pastime than crushing the egos of pretenders.

mike, how can we let this info come out into the public domain? a complaint to DENR would be a good start. i just knew that we have an environmental ombudsman in the philippines, which deals with these things. hmmm, as i said this case is getting more interesting as more info are coming in.

He, he, thanks, Ms. Wolf. Inspired lang nga maghinanggaw once again in this thread because it reminds me of this quote: “When stupidity is a sufficient explanation, there is no need to have recourse to any other.â€![]()

Wow, is this a perfect example of Boomerang! Rule of court: "What is presented in the open is subject to cross. Where else we can catch the fish by the mouth isn't? Now more cans of worms will be opened...Don't blame us?

I agree completely. The tenets of natural moral law easily supersede the technicalities of positive law.

We have documents to prove that she only talked to DENR after she had cut the trees. DENR officials said Mayor Piezas had said she just wanted to prone the trees.
Oh, by the way, please check the mayor's house. New furniture set is coming?

This sounds a good idea Cujo.
Personally, I have nothing against the personal character of Mayor Piezas. It was her action and decision of cutting those trees that I am not in favor.
Mayor Piezas must understand that this is not politics anymore and we are not among her political adversaries that are trying to topple her party. We are just plain citizens reacting to an unethical action that she recently did. By the way, my congratulations for the landslide results.
If she is a fair person, then she should face the music here in TB to express her views or to say sorry.
Let us end this and start discussing positive ideas that could benefit us all.
