Daghang Salamat!

Sorry, doy Bran-Bran, and other concerned citizens.

Sorry for this delayed reaction. i was out of circulation for more than two months, or so.

doc bran-bran, unfortunately, wala'y sewage system ang lungsod sa valencia, just like most of the towns in bohol. kon duna man gani drainage or sewage provision ang inyong balay didto sa Sawang, tingali padulong sa inyong kaugalingong septic tank. or padulong sa canal that passes infront of the house and run along the national highway. unya ang tubig sa canal ambak ra sad didto sa creek/river, dayon ang tubig sa creek/river padulong sa dagat. unya maligo dayon ang taga-valencia sa dagat.

yes, sir junjun, there was an ocular inspection on the adlawan poultry by two personnel from the DENR Regional office last year. and true to our guess, nothing happens. those two DENR Regional inspectors will never allow their faces to be seen in Valencia, kay nakabalo sila nga insakto ang tagna sa taga valencia , ug sayop ang ilang saad.

I heard of Engr. Victor Bantol when I was in Garcia Hernandez to visit the limestone quary. I did not know he's Valencianon. :)

Nice to know this.

The companies that run the limestone mines in Gracia-Hernandez are both headed by proud Valencianhons. Bohol Limestone Mines, which "owns" the mining area has Engr Bantol as its President, while the Philippine Mining Services Company (which replaces the former Phil Mining Corp or PSC) that operates the mining activities has Engr Paul Marante Espina as its Resident Manager. Engr Espina resides in Tagbilaran but is a first cousin of Pob Occ Barangay Kagawad Gingging Marante. I am blessed to know all of them who are all proud to be Valencianhons.

Very few Valencianhons knew that hidden somewhere in the parish is a priceless gem: a statue of the Sto Nino which has his male genetalia.

Aside from Engr Salvo, i know two more Valencianhons who finished their studies in Adamson University. Mining Engr Victor J. Bantol is now the President of the Bohol Limestone Mines, in G-Hernandez, Bohol. Engr Gil D. Cago is a Chemical Engineer who is working at the Pepsi Cola Plant in Riyadh, KSA, as a Quality Control Engineer for the past fifteen years. All three are proud to be Valencianhons, i know.

Bai Palu-Palu, smart man jud ning Valencianon. Kaila ka ni Engr. Alex T. Salvo? # 2 Board Top Notcher na sija in the Philippine Engineering Boards in 1977 or 1978 ba to. The #2 in the entire Philippines, let alone in All of Bohol. VALENCIANON.

He is also my Uncle. ;)

Engr. Salvo was No. 2 of his batch, following the batch where Engr. Victor J. Bantol took the No. 7 place in the Mining Board Exams. If i remember right, both topnotchers came from the same school, Adamson University. and both engineers are proud to be Valencianhons. one time, niadtong ulitawo pa sija si Engr Alex, gi-ingnan gani sija sa usa ka chick nga: "gasalig ka lang sa imong bungot!"

Pentagon and Evolution DBC were not Valencianhons, they were only "rented" to play for a contingent participating in the Sinulog.

Some years back, the famous CVSCAFT Drum-Lyre-Bugle Corps based in Tagbilaran City, which, until this date, is the No. 1 D-L-B Corps in the Visayan Region, has a Valencianhon as the Band Leader, and a Valencianhon as the Lead Triple Drummer. The former Band Leader is now a Doctor and the Lead Triple Drummer is a now a Senior Software Design Engineer. Proud to be full-blooded Valencianhons, i bet.

i agree with you, junjun. daghan sa mga lay ministers mga tawo o alipures sa mga Lims, gagamit sa vote-buying sa election. and dili lang ordinary lay ministers, mga lideres pa jud sa maong grupo. mongisi lang ra ba kon sukmatan sa ilang mga binuhatan. mga baga na jud sa ilang nawong nga mohungit sa ostias panahon sa pagpangalawat sulod sa misa. subo lang pud hunahunaon nga wala'y madungug gikan sa pari mahitungod sa issues sa election. kauban tingali pud sila?

About Capt. Joe, his group made a resounding success as in ZERO to the admin bets from brgy. captain down to the S.K, i think, that is a genuine statement of SUPPORT!

As always, i dream of Valencia as a place where everyone shines in his own clean and honest way, where in everyone is given the change to make a difference in his/her life!

A surprising yet very welcomed political and social event in Canmanico took place. The very simple and unassuming but well principled yet less oiled(money) young politician named Ma. Richie Balistoy Gamos defeated Ronie Lim, a distant relative of the ruling LIMS of Valencia and Bohol. This is a big pain to Madam Vice, imagine, her annointed candidate was defeated right in her own backyard!

that's twice in a row! the sitting mayor was also defeated by a Sawangnun in her own backyard during the May, 2010 elections.

Here is something i got from cyberspace:

V-Governor Lim gets five-day jail term, P20-T fine for contempt rap

For pushing through with the election for the officers of the Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) in spite of the issuance of a temporary restraining order (TRO), Vice Gov. Concepcion Lim was sentenced to imprisonment for five days and to pay a P20,000 fine. In a 12-page decision, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Suceso Arcamo also meted out a fine of P5,000 each to five other Liga ng mga Barangay officials namely Dr. Romulo Cepedoza, now a provincial board member for the second district, Arlene Caadlawon, Romeo Labor, Elenito Llorente and Rolando Ibale. Sought for her reaction yesterday regarding the penalty she earned for ignoring a TRO, V-Gov. Concepcion Lim said she was in Cebu and no way will she be able to make any comment pending receipt of the official copy of the decision. The lady vice governor said she reserved the right to comment until she gets home to face the consequence of her official act. Lim is in Cebu to attend as one of the sponsors of the wedding of the daughter of Loay Mayor Rosemarie Lim-Imboy. She is expected to be back here this afternoon.

OTHER RESPONDENTS CLEARED

The court exonerated respondents Director Pedro Noval Jr., Department of Interior and Local Government regional director, provincial election officer Elenito Llorente and provincial secretary Bonifacio Quirog but advised them “to be more circumspect and cautious in their participation in election activities particularly those outside the scope of their regular duties.” Arcamo, presiding judge of RTC Branch 47 based in Tagbilaran City , earlier issued a TRO based on the petition filed by Tagbilaran ABC president Faro Cabalit who questioned the holding of the ABC election on June 19. In spite of the issuance of the TRO, the elections pushed through as scheduled at Hotel La Roca. “Stung, aggrieved and insulted by the utter defiance of a lawful order,” Arcamo initiated the contempt proceedings. The judge said that in order to arrive at the ruling, three main issues needed to be resolved: whether or not the TRO issued by the court was duly served on the Liga officers, whether or not the explanations given by the respondent Liga officers are sufficient and convincing enough to exonerate them from the charge of indirect contempt, and whether or not the participation of other respondents who composed the board of election supervisors who were not Liga officers were sufficient to consider them to have acted in conspiracy with the officers. On the first issue, Arcamo said the issue is not difficult to resolve since Lim has not denied having been served the TRO and the summons by the sheriff.

In her written explanation, Lim declared that since the TRO together with the summons and the copy of the petition were served at the Liga office at the second floor of the Capitol building past 4 pm on June 18, she said she could not accept the TRO since she was “not the proper person” to do it. Lim also categorically stated in open court that she ordered her legislative staff assistant Rex Romani Tocmo to read aloud the contents of the TRO which prompted her to call some lawyers and other persons for advice and was subsequently advised not to receive it since she was supposedly already a private citizen at the time. She claimed that she already tendered her irrevocable resignation as Bohol Liga president earlier that day. Arcamo said that assuming that Lim refused to receive and sign the TRO and summons, this does not alter the fact that it was already served upon her person since she admitted ordering Tocmo to read aloud the contents. The judge said there appeared to be a pattern to “intentionally defy and disregard” the TRO.

“Like a script written for the movies, it includes the alleged resignation of (Lim) just before the TRO was served, her denial that she authorized (Tocmo) to receive the TRO, her late arrival at the venue and supposedly entering only when the election was concluded, the late arrival of (Tocmo) due to traffic problems, the act of (Cepedoza) to rudely stop (Cabalit) by telling him he was not the proper person to serve the TRO,” the judge pointed out.   Arcamo also had harsh words for Cepedoza, who like Lim, claimed he was already a private citizen at the time but who was the one who interrupted Cabalit when he started to inform the body of the existence of a TRO. The order said that if this were in the movies, Cepedoza might have been “the hero to the eventual heroine who would win the election.” “Unfortunately, this was the real world and Dr. Cepedoza shamelessly and arrogantly disregarded a lawful order like it was a mere scrap of paper,” the judge pointed out.

thank you!! :))

OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES ( DENR ).

Posted at a facebook account "Valencianhons Voice"..another crime was committed yesterday, June 29, during the merry-making celebrating the San Pedro. This time, it was brother versus brother, when an older brother was stubbed by the younger brother. Happened in barangay Anas.

First, husband and wife. Next, father and son. Third, brother againts brother.

Usahay ra ba kuno, managat pa ang usa aron duna sila masud-an.

Valencia - Bohol / Re: Gan vs. Olegario
April 26, 2010, 10:59:30 PM
Here' one from Bohol's weekly newspaper:

VALENCIA OPPOSITION HARASSED BY ADMIN VICE-GUBERNATORIAL BET

Valencia â€" The local candidates of the Nacionalista Party finally tasted the wrath of the Administration Vice-Gubernatorial bet known for her public display of anger. This happened when the Olegario-Dango group held their public rally at Barangay Canmanico, Valencia, Bohol whose Barangay Captain is the Hon. Concepcion O Lim, now running for Vice-Governor of Congressman Edgar Chatto under the Lakas-Kampi- CMD.

The public rally was scheduled on the evening of Monday, April 19, 2010 at the barangay’s basketball court. The Olegario-Dango group was initially refused a permit to hold the rally. Allegedly, the honorable Barangay Captain and now candidate for Vice-Governor, Dra Concepcion O.Lim, demanded that the opposition shall put into writing a condition that they will only talk about their platforms of government and shall refrain from discussing in the public rally the issues on how the Lim family is running the local government of Valencia. Lim was a former mayor of Valencia before she was elected as Provincial Board Member for three terms, and now sits as the head of the Barangay Captains league. Dra. Herietta Lim Gan, a favorite niece of Board Member Lim, is the incumbent mayor of Valencia and now challenged by Gen Leo Olegario, AFP (Ret) for the top post of the town.

However, the Permit to hold the public rally was signed and issued by one Teodoro “Dedoy” Gallogo, the barangay’s number one Kagawad, for and in behalf of the Barangay Captain who was not around when Olegario’s group again requested for a permit in the late afternoon of Sunday, April 18. A copy of the permit was submitted to the local COMELEC office the following day, Monday.

In a twist of events, Kagawad Gallogo, together with Barangay Secretary Algerica Coronel, and Barangay Treasurer Letecia Antipala came to see the Olegario group on Monday noon, allegedly on orders by the Barangay Captain, Dra Inday Conching Lim, demanding for the “written condition” initially demanded by Lim. Without the “written condition”, Lim threatened to revoke the permit earlier issued by her first kagawad. However, opposition Vice-Mayoralty bet, Capt Isidro “Boy” Dango prevailed upon the Barangay Captain’s emissaries that it is the Barangay chief’s responsibility to issue the conditions to which the opposition group may follow. Dango is a neighbor of the Lims in Barangay Canmanico.

With the permit to hold the public rally finally secured, the opposition group prepared the basketball court where the rally will be held in the evening. Section 8(d) of COMELEC Resolution no. 8758, dated February 4, 2010, provides that Streamers may be displayed at the site of a public rally five (5) days before and shall be removed within 24 hours after the said rally. However, on or about 3:30 in the  afternoon of Monday, April 19, or about three hours before the start of the rally, Hon Concepcion O Lim, tagging along an unidentified man in civilian clothes, arrived in the barangay basketball court and started removing some of the displayed streamers and posters of candidates running for elective positions in the coming May 10 elections. Displaying her penchant of public display of anger, the Provincial head of Barangay Councils and now Vice-Gubernatorial bet of the Lakas-Kampi-CMD, Dra. Concepcion O Lim, was particularly annoyed at the slogan of the Olegario-Dango slate which calls to “Terminate the Lim Dynasty” in Valencia. She was heard by those who were in the basketball court, howling “Wa mo kasabot unsa ang dynasty. Dili mi dynasty kay we are elected by the people” The Lim family is the occupant of the municipal hall for the past twenty-one (21) years. The honorable member of the Provincial Board was observed to be removing the poster of Gubernatorial bet Julius Caesar Herrera, the incumbent Vice-Governor of the province, while her companion was seen removing the streamers of the Olegario-Dango slate, and that of Atty Dionisio Balite, who is running for a seat in the Provincial Board. After the incident, the honorable board member and her group retracted toward their residence a block away.

A crowd of supporters and sympathizers filled the barangay basketball court and spilled to the National Highway to listen and encourage the Olegario-Dango candidates. Among those who were present to show their support were the town’s former mayors, Atty Nick Namocatcat, Atty. Dionisio Balite and Dr. Plinio N. Lim.

Running for Mayor is Leo L. Olegario, a retired General of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, while International Ship Captain, Isidro “Boy” Dango is running for Vice-Mayor. Completing the slate are Lucilo “Eloy” Cagadas, Atty Cesar Cainglet, Albien “Bien” Gamutan, Danilo “Danny G” Gocila, Allan Lagare, Armando “Arman” Namoc, Manuelito “Toto” Pala, and Jose “Joe” Quieta who are all running for seats in the Sangguniang Bayan. The opposition candidates discussed legitimate issues besetting the present administration, some of which are the 1.6 Billion and 10 Million budgets for the pier now constructed near the residences of the Lims, the 18 M Hon Mayor Pablo O Lim Memorial Astrodome, the Hon. Pablo O Lim Memorial High School in Barangay Marawis, the Hon. Wilfredo Lim Jr Memorial Session Hall inside the Municipal Building, the Hon Renato O Lim Memorial ABC Hall, the 20 M loan for the Badiang Springs, and the 4 kilometer pipeline carrying water from Badiang Springs to the swimming pool inside the residential complex of the Lims, affectionately called the Mansion.

At about 10:30 in the evening, Lakas-Kampi-CMD Vice-Gubernatorial bet, Dra Concepcion “Inday” Lim was not yet through with her harassment of the opposition party, as her white Strada parked infront of the Barangay Hall. A barangay tanod was summoned to the vehicle, allegedly carrying the Honorable Board Member. The same barangay watchman, identified as one Fernando Tapitan, went inside the barangay sports center where the opposition was holding its rally, purposely to put off the electric power allegedly upon orders by the Vice-Gubernatorial bet of the administration, in order for the opposition to end their public rally. However, the opposition candidates and the crowd present jirred the barangay tanod, forcing him to backtrack and reported to his boss his failure to follow the instructions. Considering that her tanod failed to carry her instructions, the driver of the white Strada was observed to summon the two policemen who were patrolling the area at that time. However, the policemen were observed leaving the place later. Sensing that her constituents are ready to defy her orders, the white Strada allegedly carrying the barangay chief and now the Vice-Gubernatorial bet of the Administration returned to their Mansion.

The public rally of the local candidates of the Nacionalista Party ended peacefully at about 12 midnite.

I will not disclose names, for the sake of personal privacy, but I can assure you, Calle, that this is occurring.

let us name names, to satisfy Atty Calle. i am not sure, Lorenzo, if your uncle Jun has now a water connection, but the last time i had contact with home base, he has been given a run around with his application. The residence of Mr Onyong Gamutan, in Taug, has been given a water connection from the pipeline that passes thru Taug from Anas to the swimming pool of the Lims in Canmanico, but when Conching knew of it, disconnection was immediately done, because Mr Gamutan is the father of Albien Gamutan, who once ran, and is now again running for Councilor with the opposition. In the residences opposite the municipal hall, only one residence is enjoying a water connection from the same pipeline from Anas. That residence is where a Namocatcat, who is a fireman and a Lim loyalist lives. Mr. Dodong Cagulada, who has been a water consumer since the Valencia Waterwork system was established has been denied access to water. But his neighbors, the families of Policewoman Isi-os, and Tiburcio/Aida Llemit are enjoying shower baths in their homes. What makes in more painful for Mr Cagulada is the fact that the connections for these residences are made right in front of Mr Cagulada's house.Mr. Cagulada is a known oppositionist, while Policewoman Isi-os is the Investigator of the Valencia Police Station. The son of the Llemits is now working as a casual employee of the Mayor's office. Back in Barangay Taug, only one residence enjoys a water connection from the pipeline. That house is where the barangay captain lives. While a lot of people, from as fas as cansibao and nailo, are queuing in front of three serviceable jet matic pumps in poblacion occidental, the Lims are enjoying a swim in their pool in their Mansion. I think Atty Calle will be so proud when he can also enjoy a dip on the Lims swimming pool. Lately, the electric power connection to the residence of the parents of one Roger Balamad in Danao, Valencia has been cut off, allegedly because of a two-month unpaid bills. Mr Balamad is a hard-hitting radio commentator of dyTR in Tagbilaran, who is very vocal againts Conching Lim. The electric power disconnection came after Mr Balamad joined the barangay rallies of the opposition group in Valencia. When checked in the BOHECO Office, there was no unpaid bills, and nobody in the office can identify the "signature" that appeared in the disconnection order. These are just a few names and incidents about the denial of water and electric power connections in Valencia. Although these are true and real incidents, i expect Atty Calle can make justifications on these.

who will win? i bet my neck, it's GAN, by a wide margin.

dong, out of 35 barangays in our town, 32 barangay captains are with the GAN/LIM group.

anyway, i think the group of olegario is giving the GAN/LIM camp a good fight.

it will not be a surprise if Gan will win by a wide margin, as Atty Calle is predicting. Gan's group is pegging 800T prize for a barangay that will give a "straight" win. just as what is being known in the whole province, in valencia, money is always the best way to win an election. i think Atty Calle is proud of this. Its a pity that Valencianhons are made a laughing stock by the rest of the province. This will be proven by the impending devastating lose of Conching Lim in her bid for the post of Vice-Governor.

Initially, the Lims were offering a 200T reward to barangays who will vote straight for their entire slate. Following week, the prize was raised to 400T. In their Canduao Rally last monday, the prize for a barangay who will vote straight and make their slate win is now pegged at 600T. If you are one of their supporters, you are to receive 1T inangayan, and those who are from the opposition who are willing to jump to their group will be receiving a cool 3T, at least. Sadly, the administation still cannot find the explaination why they are prioritizing the construction of a pier right in their front yard, with a budget of 1.6B and another additional 10M, when there are no livelihood projects, no potable water, and dilapidated roads for most of the Valencianhons who are in the barangays.

Tinood ang imong observation, Prof Palaca. It was disappointing that the signing of the Covenant for Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Election (HOPE) in valencia was done in the astrodome, while the signing of the same covenant for the provincial level was done in the Tagbilaran cathedral, and was officiated by no less that the bishop of the diocese, during one sunday mass. According to reliable sources, it was initially agreed by the members of the municipal council of HOPE that the Covenant signing will be held in the parish church during a mass to be celebrated especially for that activity. But it was finally held at the astrodome, kay kuno ang parish priest wala mosugot nga adto sa church. Really? Rev Fr Gibo Ilogon chosed to keep silent on this issue. Sometime not so long ago, Rev. Fr Jun Ligtas organized an all-male choir for the church. Unfortunately, some members of the new group were identified to be from the political opposition, while some are members of administration, since the group was supposedto be non-political, as it was for the chuch. However, after some performances, your LLM President Argeo Salise stopped going along with the group. Later, two other members, Mar Lagat and Teresito Lagare "informed" the group that they were persuaded by the admin leaders to stop thier activities with the choir because they are with people who are from the opposition. Both Lagat and Lagare are Conching boys. However, they defied the "order", unlike Argeo Salise who only sings with the all-male choir when he observe that the opposition men are not around. What a singer he is. Would you believe that f

Good day, everyone. When i said, Calle, nga ajaw ka-talaw, i am referring to the discussion of how the lims run the local government of valencia. whether you think and you are sure that i am an objective discussant or not, it is does not matter. while you have all the luxury of time as you praise the lims, you dont have when you have to discuss legrom behind legitimate issues, hiding behind the cloaks of a busy man and a confused citizen. when the lims prohibits the extracting of sand from the shores, as the law mandates, but they themselves allow their minions to extract sand from behind their hospital in asinan and deliver it to the barangay projects with specific "price tags" as included in the bill of materials, i dont know if you can call them as modern robin hoods. anyway, thanks for reacting to my threads, because you have the luxury of time for that.

as i said beforehand, let us discuss legitimate issues, not personalities. through this, i hope you and i and some interested valencianhons can help our town move forward.

Hello, mga sano. anything new from Junjun and Calle about the powers of the LIMS? who said wala na'y langaw sa adlawan? who said wala na'y baho'ng iti sa canmanico? when the PENRO was told about it, niingon lamang pud nga: naa man na sila environmental clearance. AGREE. pero hibalo ta of the so many in the government service who are corrupt. What makes you sure COnching Lim will win as vice-gov? nagtuo na jud mo nga ang mga botante in the other towns of bohol mga nawong ug kwarta, pareho sa daghang valencianhon? mas maayo na lang kanang mouli aron molansad kay nagpakita pa na sila ug kasibot nga mosilbi sa lungsod, kay gusto nga sa valencia na mopuyo kay nang retire na sa trabaho, ikumpara sa mga naa na nagpuyo sa lungsod nga nagpaka-buta ug nagpaka-bungol sa tinuod nga mga nahitabo tungod sa pagdumala sa mga LIMs.
