I watched the pageant, satisfied with the winner but not with some runners up. Some members of the top 5 are not deserving. Two have bulging bilbil and the same time have difficulty walking and answering the preliminary n final questions.Of course, they are judges choice but what is Miss NYML doing in the top five. MR. AE Damalerio is the executive producer of the pageant n an officer of NYML. There are those left behind who are deserving of the finals/runners-up slot

Valencia - Bohol / Re: Tourism In Valencia, Bohol

1. First and formost, improve the road condition.

2. There should be  tourism and Heritage Workshop in order to make plans on how to maximize the massive potentials of Valencia, with out destroying its heritage. Include those who are knowledgeable on this areas and those that will be affected..

3. Set-aside politics....Intensify education..Let the people be aware of the tons of beautiful natural and man-made heritages in our town.

4. Commission a research to do CULTURAL MAPPING in order to identify those that will be included in the development program!

I was hired by Department of Tourism last summer., I did evaluation of the tourism potentials sa III District of Bohol...I was surprised that other than BAdiang Spring, there is no other record of tourism sites in our beloved town.....as a personal help, I visited Omjon and LAntang for the springs...I was not mistaken  because the water is cold and fresh...however only few will brave such natural wonders given the very bad quality of our ROADS, murag mga mais nga gipangpugas jud tawon ang mga bato, manakit imong lawas labina imong mga joints ug pumugong...kinsa may ganahan tawon mutungas adtong mga lugara...f mutungas mi pagda ug efficascent kay kabuhioon jud tawon mo!

There is an on-going Tourism Summit in Bohol(June 9-10). Personally, one of my interesr is socio-cultural tourism, I visited numerous undiscovered(?) spots just this summer and I would say, we have lots to offer. However, the first minus-point is we have very bad provincial road like in Dimiao(Guinguyuran Falls), Valencia(Anislag spring) and Duuero (Campo Verde) to name some. In Tagbilaran City, there are establishments with not so good services. Especially that resort somewhere in Booy owned by a chininese man. My God, he is very impossible, same as his staff! am sure he is attending the Tourism summit with a smile, but he is very unaccomodating and even very rude!

Guyz, I want your suggestions!

yes! it strengthened the commitment and also affirmed that there is beauty in our physical differences. That is why I am in favor of Sexuality Education in the Philippines because we need to academically inform our students rather than ask their friends and consult the net. Parents out to educate their children in this matter but culturally, how many filipino parents are open to this idea. However, I strongly believe, that first, teachers must be thoroughly trained so that they would be able to facilitate truthful, morally and scientifically based instruction!

Who sets the standard for a person to be proclaimed bayani? is a hero measurable? This issue is very old yet continued to exist because of the historical myths that surrounds the life of MArcos. The US govt already declared that the MAHARLIKA group allegedly formed and led by MArcos was a fraud...Isnt he a master of this? E.g The Tasaday issue which happen to be his pet project that fooled even the brightest and smartest scholars that time. Mas deserving pa yung naglililinis sa daan, ang mga balot vendors na naghahanap buhay ng maayos....WIll it make a difference if his body be buried there?

Iyang tubag, MAHADLOK man mga tawo sir kay unjang dubtan, dili pwede ikaw complain sir? I was uddenly hit by a torpedo of mixed emotions, I was sad because I failed to develop my student, I was angry to the concerned brgay and local officials for not intervening the very ovious problem, but at the end mingkatawa ko kay namuot ko, that poultry is operated by the mayor and vice-gov's family, yet they won landslide sa place.

bay lORENZO SORI SA COMPARISON HA....I HIP U UNDERSTAND. ang point naku is ang nakitn-an nimo mao ra poy imo ma assess. tanx!
#20
i have to understand the side of mr. Lorenzo, its like the story of the blind men who assess the elephant. Becuase Bay Lorenz can only give what he observed then lets respect that. However, as TAGA BUKID, in my almost 30 years of existence, I can personally say that the REAL VALENCIA is hidden beneath the beautiful facade of the town with its newly constructed buildings. The network of roads are still poor, poor performance of students in Provincial, regional and national examinations, mahal ang taxes ug mamaligya sa merkado and etc. These are the problems nga angay unta tagaag atensyon.

Aww, okey lang oy, not everything is perfect. Ang importante is that nag celebrate ta sa Piesta sa Senyor Santo Nino.

How i wish i was there to see the performance. Naa ba kay pictures?

dili gapun mareconcile oi...daghan jamung mga bata nga nanan-aw nya kasagaran sa mga learners run visual, makapalibog sa mga bata n isn't it the responsibility of the elected officials to promote quality education to the people? the celebration was very educational especially that it presented our culture....THE MORE UNTA NGA NAGBANTAY ANG INCHARGE ADTO. Ako isip usa ka magtutudlo, na alarma adtong hitabua!

yes, I personally know of an HNU Prof., doubling as a tour guide and there is nothing wrong with that...we teachers are exposed to the rigid training of making our students understand our lessons in a context that the different learning styles would be able to accommodate. I am also taking personal tour guiding whenever I am requested or referred by my relatives and friends....Tourist preferred professionals because we can articulate more ad provide strategies for better understanding!

Absolutely  NO for me, can we consider a person hero if he was toppled by the sovereign people because of his cruel, tyrannic, bloody and corrupt administration? Unsa man nato pag reconcile sa EDSA one ug sa pagkahero ni fernidand marcos? kataw-an tas mga kaapohan nato ani.

I joined my fellow Valencianhons Last Jan 16 in celebration of the feast day of the Holy Infant Jesus. I was relly eager to witness the Sinulog, while watching one contingent, I was caught surprised by the background tarpaulin showcasing the rootcrops and other plants in bounty in my town and suddenly in two tarpaus and in big and bold letters, CORN TREES, syalan ba, wa diay na checka daan sa assigned kagawad, basin ba ang mga b***t nga choreographer ang nasayop pero lain gihapon tan-awon oi, known pa naman ta nga Town of Professionals.Ayay!!!!

No one has the right to judge other people unless it is the law that will decide otherwise. However, the guy mentioned, is known and I would say @allegedly@ for some deviances.

About Capt. Joe, his group made a resounding success as in ZERO to the admin bets from brgy. captain down to the S.K, i think, that is a genuine statement of SUPPORT!

As always, i dream of Valencia as a place where everyone shines in his own clean and honest way, where in everyone is given the change to make a difference in his/her life!
#45
Im saddened my this terrible election in the Philippines, imagine, mga S.K, gipangkidnap, gipangtagaan ug cellphone n other stuff just to win the election. What can we expect when their time comes as adult leaders, dili kaha sila mahimong S.K- Sobras Kabalungon  o Sobras Kaya__.

tsk! tsk! its true, many of my friends-brothers(lay ministers) were into it.... and I am slowly lossing my passion to serve in that way as LLM because, i feel like, it has no difference at all...I will just serve our people in my own simple way!!!

Valencia - Bohol / A LIM defeated in Canmanico
October 27, 2010, 05:46:27 PM
A surprising yet very welcomed political and social event in Canmanico took place. The very simple and unassuming but well principled yet less oiled(money) young politician named Ma. Richie Balistoy Gamos defeated Ronie Lim, a distant relative of the ruling LIMS of Valencia and Bohol. This is a big pain to Madam Vice, imagine, her annointed candidate was defeated right in her own backyard!

cige atong ingnun nga apil sila way tubig, unya unsa may gihimo nila isip mga ehikutibo sa lungsod ug sa probinsya aron masulosyunan kining dakung problema? Interventions are needed not just an explanation that the water in their/YOUR swimming pool is treated with whatsover. Wake up man, be observant and please feel with compassion. better scrap the S.K, they are trained to become trapo with the tons of money spent during elections. Death Penalty is not and will never be the answer to the increasing criminality rate. Records and statistics tell us that when it was implemented years back crime rate did increase. There should be a genuine moral ad political reform i our country. Politicians are known for lobbying their pets for appointment as judges and our Filipino sense of gratitude surely became a factor in making decisions. Life imprisonment is also expensive to our government's coffer. Our system is not rehabilitative knowing how crowdy and dirty our jails are. Its going back to the Lord. Secondly, the government need to implement a genuine socio-economic programs that would make use of our rich manpower resources!

It is hard to believe that the 'PANUDLANAN'' of my beloved Valencia is overflowing with millions of cash because reality speaks for itself. Daghang kuwang sa Valencia, and network sa kalsada arang mauta, poor quality of education due to lack of support from the LGU: non functional library and laboratories, ang mga seeds sa mga pobreng mag-uuma dili maafford, pwerting mahala, dili subsidized, lack of sports development program and livelihood trainings!

I am ad advocate for athletics sa school unya wa na diay na karon? what has the managers done for heavens sake!!! grrrrrr! (lagut na jud ko)
That was december of 2005, grabe nga experience and I was afraid becuase the particpants mga bata pa jud diay grade 3 and 4 den nagsuka sila. SPORTS DEVELOPMENT? none! Why? because the S.K Federated President is non existence> she is not functioning, knsa may mufunction pa nga nanganak na man ning bataa, 2nd way support ang LGU, wa silay program for youth development. 3rd ang S.B mga puppets, wa silay legislation nga independent sa kagustuhan sa mayor mao nga wa juy ayo. Wa lang gud. Honorable pero with honor ba kaha?SCHOOLARSHIP????????None as in ZERO>>>>>>>>>>>wa daw kwarta ang lungsud Dong Lorenzo! but they are proud in proclaiming that the town has a surplus of almost 100 million. nganu na surplus nga daghan kuwang sa Valencia. ang mga books sa mga school library panahon pa ni Macapagal and marcos, not even a single microscope in schools even in the central school. Luoy jud!

Im back. I am privileged tolisten to the campaign speaches of the candidates from the two parties. I laready have my list of candidates. Honestly, I will go for Gen Olegario because I am convinced of his plan to prioritize education in valencia. I was once elected as the Pres. of the teachers association in Valencia, and I can speak for what I experienced. The present administration is not supportive with the ancillary activities in which deped is commisioned to support like scouting and athletic meets. I remembered a scouting event in Catigbian nga gipasakay me sa dumtruck sa LGU kauban sa mga bata, mga parents nila, mga kaldero, kahoy ug tanan namung mga gamit> suka dire-suka didto while other town executive accompanied their people kami wa jud tawon. i even spent 6 thou para madaun lang ang participation sa Valencia kay nanghilak ang mga bata when we informed them nga di kaapil due to lack of budget. We need a mayor who is pro-poor. With all honesty, I believe Gen. olegario is the man!

Montano all the way, we should try to explore new administration. Wa pa jud sila mabung nga naniguwang na silag panglingkod sa ilang trono?

Judging who is ideal and what is ideal is difficult because we should base it on the standard set by the persons culture not on our own standard. However, common sense tells us that with Cajes limited business connections, impossible is the most certain. DIs a man gkan ng iyang milyones be? bsan walay grado makahibawo jud sa tubag.

Culture is adapted, shared and transmitted. That is why corruption prevails even if we have an agency that is tasked to litigate and penalized corrupt govt. officials. We compalined yet we seldom do our share. We tolerate corruption. mUBAHA UG kwarta during elections, so ending pagkadaug, mamawi jud. Change starts from each one of us and this coming election is our voice. So let our voices be heard!

OMG. Mao ba, lately I am distancing myself from the LLM although I served straight sa Ginopolan. My God makalipong ni nga info jud, Argeo is a close friend and in fact he visited me in my house sa bukid just to have a drink, we discussed politics but never that he convinced me to jump to his side. Mao jud lagi even the catholic hierarchy is already politicized, saun naman ni run. Yah, i heard nga gsaka nila ang prize, palamuot no, they are proud pa jud in announcing it, dis a daan sa layo pa ang election, nganong wa man gi implement or gdapat ang kwarta para naay tubig ang kabaryuhan. In Pangian, iniyahay nag pamalhin ang mga tawo kay wa nay tubig, ang mga bata sa school arang luoya jud. About anang choir, jesus, luoya ntawon pud. Poor Bro. Argeo, wa cjay mahims, he was protecting his job. Ug musupak na impas. Hahay, Valencia........pls wait for me. he.he.he

Dr. Conching is facing her biggest battle to date, its pitiful that she entered this battle given the current situations now nad also with his niece Dra. hENHEN facing a strong candidate in Valencia in the person of ret. Gen Leo Olegario. About Cajes, if my memory serves me right, in my ReEd 2, my teacher mentioned that a priest is always a priest. His story is a sad reflection of the illnessess in the catholic hierachy.

Becuase many parents are busy with their work and other social obligations, they tend to spoil their children. Its hard to accept, but reality bites. If my memory is still correct, there is a principle in law that goes, "the fruit of a poisonous tree is poisonous."

because he represents hope. He is not traditional. He is young. He is the best among the three!

I'll go for Montano thsi time because Bohol needs young people who are selfless in their intention. Cesar as he is popular in showbiz, has the option earn mega bucks in movies, t.v shows and endoresement. However, he opted to run for governor because of the Boholanoes clamor to have a governor who is sincere in intention. He is not perfect like all of us, he is neophyte but good politicians started from scratch.

There is always an ending especially in power. History speaks for itself. MAdam Conching is facing her biggest battle. Her downfall would signal the end of their dynasty in Valencia. AT her face, a failure would be very traumatic knowing that she is not familiar with that. I'm expecting that she will be flooding money to topple the growing lead of Abapo.

Ang 7-0, 7 represents the admin candidate for municipal councilor, ang 0 sa opposition. Ang ilang logic nga gipasabot sa tagabarrio is ang bugas pilit bisan pa ug masagulan rag gamay ug ordinaryong bugas, lain na gyud kan-on. F naay mulusot nga opposition, muhatag sila ug kalata sa konseho. He..he luoy laman pug taga oppo, mura diay silag ud sa apple. Bitaw hay.... nganong dili man lang dili pasagdan ang mga tawo sa Valencia sa pag exercise sa ilang right to suffrage.
#94
Ang admin under the lakas party ang nagpasiugna ana. This is bribery of the highest kind kay kwarta man sa mga tawo ang ihatag. Butbot ug mugamit sila ug ilang kaugalingong kwarta. Ang style pa nila, dili na sila mutungas sa kabukiran kun dili ilang paadtuon sa ilang mansion ang mga katawhan. Bisag ting-ani ug humay o maglugi ug lubi basta ipatawag, kinahanglang muadto jud or else you will be blacklisted. Bahag ikog mga opisyales oi ug si board nay mumandar.

This is the latest development in Valencia, confirmed by my relatives and friends who attended yesterday's panagtapok in the infamous mansion. The barangay which can deliver a winning 7-0 pattern in the S.B slate aside from the mayor and vice-mayor will be rewarded with a whopping P200 thou cash aside from projects. My friends are problematic because their very close and amiable cousin is running under the oppo. So funny, they fooled the people in this scenario as if they owned the money to be given. Hay....calling COMELEC! COMELEC hoy......COMELEC! he..he.. wa naminaw COMELEC.

sadly, its a dream.how I wish that for a moment, even for just a single time, the Valencianhons will be united, for their good, for our children and their future. With all the poverty and neglect especially on the very poor quality of the network of roads in the kabukiran, the masses are still blind and deaf. It's so disgusting, but it's the reality. Its painful, but its the truth. Truth hurts and I am awaken. When and how, I don't know. I hope its not just a dream!

Got busy with my work lately. Like all of you guys, the good of Valencia is always my concern. For so long, I am identified with the opposition group to the extent that my application to teach in my beloved VHS was denied even if I was ranked no. 1 and the vacancy calls for my specialization. Instead it was given to the brother of Vicky Lim. I was victimized by dirty politics and it motivated me to aspire and expand my wings. My past post would certainly express my political color. But right now I am not energized to take an active part in politics. I have my reasons. I am even on unofficial leave of absence as LLM because I have some cloud of doubts. Politics is everywhere even in the church. Even in the LLM organization, I am the only one on the opposing side but It never stop me from expressing my views. Something good among my brothers in the organization is that they listened to my opinions and suggestions. However, numbers always play a part. Good luck to those who still believe that Valencia can still be recovered from its present state of political tyranny. If my small voice will be heard, I want the SB to be functional and act not as puppets but a real body legitimized by the people's mandate to work for the upliftment of the people's welfare. God bless to all!

Hallo there, welcome Palu-palo. I am not ignorant of the real situations in valencia since I am still going home almost every week. In my service as a lay liturgical minister,I for sure experienced the hardships in going to the barrios. How I wish that I can go with all of you guys but I am doing my dissertation and another research as commissioned by the CHED.As I recall a line in bisaya, pahinog sa! I am still widening my horizons as I learned the wisdom of experience.Good luck to all of you!
