Grazie, TGND did not mean they NEVER take up the case (IE Philippines vs. Jane Doe). But often times they do not bother doing so either due to financial contraints especially if they beleive it will be a long trial fought against a defendant pleaing not guilty and with means to hire good lawyers.

If there is a defendent whose guilt is easy to prove and/or the said defendent pleads guilty, they then will no doubt persue a court conviction for that crime.

First, they will organize,

then ask for guns... maybe....

then, if the have everything on placed,  INVASION na.
PLESE DO NOT COMMENT ON BELOW WITHOUT READING THE FULL POST AS IT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN IN CONTEXT. TY.

Do they need guns? Personally I hate guns.
I cannot beleive that you write such jokes about a serious subject. I am sure you are aware there are Filipino organizations all over the western world. Unlike the one being formed in Bohol, these are not formed because Filipinos abroad are being legally treated as second class citizens. They are not being formed because people feel threatened for their lives.

This murder in itself is not doing a lot of harm to the Bohol economy. But the aftermath is indeed very harmful. Some Filipinos' (very few mind you) anti-foreigner comments together with the total inadaquacies of the Bohol Police is very harmful.

I hear many people openly state that the tourist police are corrupt. The whole idea of tourist police is to protect tourists. They should be beyond any type of corruption.

Having been to Bohol on many occasions, and never feeling my security theatened, I can now see how easily that could go all wrong. I was always aware (although appalled) that in the event of an accusation by a local, a foreigner has no equal rights. This is indeed a draconian law and has no place in modern society, as it is also a pro-racism law.

If the Bohol authorities do not show to be investigating this murder in a satisfactory way, Bohol is in danger of becoming blacklisted by travel agents akin to Sulu.

Will I go back to Bohol? Yes. Because I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Would I live there? No. Coming from a country where the same crimnal laws apply to all citizens no mater what their colour or creed.

weird!

Weird?

Weird because I question a conspiricy?

Or do you also wish to sweep it under the carpet and put it down as a random attack?

Mademoiselle Abby, If it is in fact too much for you may I suggest you leave it. By saying it is hard to prove IMO suggests guilt.

Who gives a s*** about the bar and if je is crying all be it crocodile tears, makes not one bit of difference.

I will go to bed as it is 1am here now in UK. The rest of your post is just the same tripe you have been posting before. Do you actually beleive that by shouting louder you will be beleived more. May I suggest you stop these inconsistant rumours before you incriminate Je.

Maayong Gabe-e ninyong tanan.

excuse me jfm the wife has not got a deported stamp in her passport and for your information the murder is not unsolve because the murderer have been caught and they have addmitted it and they will be sentese shortly .mine your own business bugaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrr!!!!!!
So you think people should not question who the conspirators are? It is pretty obvious to any person of sound mind they were paid to commit this heinous crime. Do you think it was the family of his wife, or perhaps the tourist police?

Tell me; do you think it was a random attack? If you knew anything about criminality, you would understand that the ammount of wounds to the victim suggest it was an act of hate.

By suggesting it was a random attack and that the there is no connection to the previous attacks, you are therefore also suggesting that Bohol is a place that foreigners can expect killed at least three times every three months.

This is not the case. Please stop destroying the reputation of the people of Bohol.

Chona, you are doing more harm to the good Boholian people here than you can imagine. The more tripe that comes out of your mouth the more desperate you seem to have become.

Mr. Rald. I understand now that your comment was directed at the other girl and not my quote. lol. salamat sir.

Merci beaucoup, pourqua Monsour Martin pas pay'e les service sexual.
Ma'yong hapon sa Europe. My French is not that good Monsour Rald. Are you suggesting she pay me for sex? I am shocked :) . Never payed for, or got paid for in my life. No need. I have a beautiful 'gwapa day' for my wife.

Prisilla, as you said earlier in this thread that Martin's trial for rape 'proved' that it was a trumped up charge. So I take offence when somebody found not guilty, being refered to as a rapist.

Benelynne,
I think the reward will make little difference, because the police are not interested in any other information on this matter. It is in the interest of Bohol government to leave things as they are.

"An isolated murder of a playboy who got his cumupence" sounds better to potential tourists, than "a British expatriot murdered in a 'hit' after two previous attempts on his life."

Can you write that in English so that Martins family can understand.

Do you think that by continuing to plaster this board with insults and lies, people will start to beleive you?

The more you write here; the less credible your 'stories' sounds to the British people and the Filipino people wo are reading this.

Hi Thalia, how are you this fine day?

Combien avez-vous payé por écrire ces mensonges?

PHP 50?
My appologies for my attempt at French. I was being sarcastic to the previous user who wrote her 'posts' in visaya after been asked to keep it in English.

In english: 'How much did you get paid for writing those lies'

Sorry to say I have some difficulty in comprehending your message, a simple sentence would be much appreciated, Mr Patman.
It is two sentances long. It is in English. Which of the sentances or words do you not understand.

Am afraid not jfm.

They prefer to listen to family of the wife because it suits better, and then they can say that he came to his death because of his lifestyle, so in a way he deserves to die.

It does not suit their public relations to show that he died just becase he wanted to an annulment from his Filipina wife.

Yes there is a lesson here.

When a foreigner comes to harm at the hands of a Filipino, the Filipino's 'story' will be beleived above the Foreigner.

I brought 34 guests (couples/families) from Europe to Panglao last year. It seems that if some harm had had come to them during their stay, they would have got the full brunt of the Bohol rumourmongers.

Hi Prisilla, Steve and all Martins' friends/ family. Condolences.

Have just read all 58 pages.

I understand your (Uk people) frustrations with the Filipino system.

I had the missfortune of having a relative murdered on another island some years ago. We knew who the murderers were but their uncle was a policeman, and they absconded before attempted arrest some days later. Soon after they were spotted on another island and followed to their residence. This information was given to the police, but they somehow were tipped off and absconded again.

Steve, I am sure you were somewhat surprised with the way the police dealt (or should I say, didn't deal with) with the shooting incident in the bar. I live not too far from you. I am sure the rest of you guys from UK are very frustrated.

I see the tone of the Filipinos changed somewhat when the friends of the his wife posted what seemed to me as a lot of exagerated lies. Two of them are the same person as you can see by their errors. But their accusations seemed to have changed some of the filipinos views here. Even though some people were asked several times to write in English, they purposely write in visaya/cebuanna. This is rude and ignorant towards the people here who have no means to translate, when the thread is all about their good friend.

Making statements like 'we don't need your money' etc are totally unhelpful and are harming an already dented public relations situation in Bohol. It is foreign investment/ foreign tourists that has made Bohol/Panglao into the triving place it is.

Maybe the wife did it, maybe not. But the circumstantial evidence makes her at least a potential suspect. As a potential suspect she should not be allowed to interfere will possible evidence and not be allowed in his house.

I have been to Bohol four times, and the Philippines six times in total. Bohol is a beautiful place. I love it there.
