Statement of the Quezon City Government on the Brgy. Pasong Putik incident

The Quezon City Government is deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred yesterday afternoon (April 21) in Brgy. Pasong Putik.

The QCPD is undertaking a thorough investigation into the matter. Needless to say, the law enforcement personnel involved in this incident will be given a chance to explain their side, and rationalize their actions in the context of accepted rules of engagement.

We are looking into reports that the casualty was a mentally challenged individual. Quezon City has always been highly responsive to those with special needs, and we shall approach this situation with the thoughtfulness and sensitivity it demands.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
