PNPA Masidtalak Class of 2023 graduates with President Marcos Jr. as guest of honor
The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) held its 44th Commencement Exercises on March 10, 2023 at the Camp General Mariano Castañeda in Silang, Cavite. The event was graced by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who served as the guest of honor and speaker.
The PNPA Masidtalak Class of 2023, which stands for Maaasahang Tagapagsilbi ng Inang Bayan na may Dangal at Katapatan na ang Layunin ay Kapayapaan, has 208 members who will join the ranks of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
President Marcos Jr., who attended the PNPA graduation rites for the first time as Commander-in-Chief, congratulated the new graduates and challenged them to become agents of justice and serve with high moral integrity²³. He also urged them to be catalysts for regaining public trust in the country's police force¹.
The top honors went to Police Cadet Francis Geneta from Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, who was named class valedictorian. He received the Presidential Kampilan from President Marcos Jr. and the Chief PNP Kampilan from Police Lieutenant General Rhodel Sermonia, PNP Office of the Deputy Chief for Administration Officer-in-Charge (OIC).
