PNP OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The Philippine National Police (PNP) categorically denies the existence of any memorandum regarding the alleged cancellation of the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI). The circulating document is absolutely fake news and should not be considered legitimate or credible.
The PNP assures its personnel that SRI for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 is already in process. The Finance Service (FS), in coordination with the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM), is working diligently to ensure that all qualified PNP personnel will receive their SRI. Furthermore, the Fiscal Directive, already approved by the Chief, PNP, is guiding the Directorate for Comptrollership (DC) to facilitate the smooth implementation and timely release of funds for SRI FY 2024.
We urge the public, particularly our personnel, to exercise caution and discernment when encountering unverified information that undermines the integrity of the PNP.
In response to this malicious act, the PNP is initiating an in-depth investigation to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the dissemination of this false information. Rest assured that appropriate charges will be filed against individuals found culpable for this deliberate attempt to mislead and sow confusion within our ranks and the general public.
The PNP remains committed to transparency and accountability. Any official announcements or communications will be disseminated through proper and verified channels.
