PNP NETS  P6.8-M SHABU FROM ZAMBOANGA TRIO

Anti-illegal drugs operations during the long holiday gained headway across the country to as far as the Zamboanga peninsula in Western Mindanao.

PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas said, “Three persons were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation launched by the PNP Drug Enforcement Group in Zamboanga Sibugay on another post-Christmas operation Sunday.”

Citing reports from PDEG Director, Police Brig Gen Ronald Lee, Sinas said the suspects are believed to be suppliers of illegal drugs in Region 9 and the island provinces of BAR.

Arrested in Purok -Santan, Brgy. Lumbog, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay at 2:15PM on Sunday were:
 
1. CRIMALDE IRALI TARAWI 53, businessman and resident of Brgy Manokmangkaw, Simunul, Tawi-Tawi;
2. ALBASIR NURIDJAM MASIHUL, 26, of Brgy.Sawa, Mabuhay, Zambo Sibugay, seaweeds farmer; and
3. BASIR BALADJI ALANO, 48, of Brgy Tulay, Jolo, Sulo occupation businessman.

PDEG agents confiscated from the suspects  1.) One (1) piece black plastic Sando bag containing 18 pieces heat-sealed transparent packs containing crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride (object of sale) weighing more or less 1 kilogram  with DDB price worth Php 6.8 million;  2.) One (1) eco bag color orange containing one (1) piece genuine one thousand (1,000.00) peso bill with serial number 2019 DE 864449 placed at the top most of  Twenty  (20 bundles) of photocopied one thousand pesos  as supposed payment of two million (2,000.00) pesos as buy-bust money; and 3.) One unit Chevrolet bearing plate # JCT 5097

The seized items were turned over to the PNP Crime Laboratory for
examination and documentation while the suspects are now under the custody of
Imelda Municipal Police Station. A criminal complaint for violation of Section 5 of RA
9165 is being prepared for filing before the prosecutor’s office.
