PIA 11/ DAVAO DEL NORTE— Chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Senator Bong Go is set to recommend to President Rodrigo Duterte to opt for the declaration of State of Public Emergency.
In a media interview during the 22nd Founding Anniversary of the Island Garden City of Samal, Go made the statement citing the new positive cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines.
If the President take such action, Go said such declaration would in effect allow local chief executives to use their emergency funds based on Disaster Risk Reduction Mgmt Act.
Meanwhile, Go revealed intent of the President to meet on Monday, heads of government agencies involved on Health concerns and those involved in the inter-agency task force on COVID-19. (JMDAbangan)
