PDEA DESTROYS P600-K WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 12 will destroy some P600,000.00 worth of illegal drugs today (October 15) consisting of 1,631 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as shabu, 485 kgs. of marijuana, 10,066 hills of marijuana as well as expired drugs, PDEA spokesperson Katryn Gaye Abad confirmed to members of the press during the recent weekly Kapihan sa Kapitolyo media forum. The illegal and expired drugs which will be burned at the Monticello Crematorium in General santos City by virtue of an issued court order. The said drugs are evidences in court apprehended by PDEA confiscated during their drug operations. Earlier, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued a directive to law enforcers on the destruction of confiscated illegal drugs to avoid recycling.
