ICYMI: Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu, and his spouse, Mrs. Carlota Vergara Abu graced the PCG WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP held in Makati City on 10 March 2022.
CG Admiral Abu extended his appreciation to all empowered women who attended the fellowship that served as an avenue for senior and junior female PCG officers to reconnect. It also strengthened camaraderie and support system among female PCG officers.
The Coast Guard Commandant also congratulated the Coast Guard Gender and Development (GAD) Office headed by CG Commander Leila Tatel for organizing the successful event.
During the fellowship, the PCG celebrated the promotion of female Commodores, including CG Commodore Marifem Ubongen-Isaac, CG Commodore Vivien Cay, and CG Commodore Glenda Pereyra.
Furthermore, the organization paid tribute to one of the first female Commodores in PCG history, CG Commodore Luz Escarilla, who will retire this year. She received a token of appreciation for her outstanding and unwavering commitment to the Coast Guard service.
The event ended with the recognition of the invaluable contributions of brave and inspiring Juanas of the PCG.
