The ONE EC-MCO Movement, represented by the Power Bloc in Congress, releases its third issue of DAGITAB today. The official newsletter showcases the Warriors of Light as the backbone of the movement for their relentless efforts and steadfast service as exemplified during the power restoration operations in the course of the devastation of typhoons Tisoy and Ursula. It also introduces their various achievements and undertakings for the first quarter of 2020 and how the Power Bloc solons supported the ONE EC-MCO Movement in the pursuit of their shared goal — total rural electrification.
On the cover page, it features the faces of the linemen from different parts of the Philippines who went to visit the House of Representatives last February 17, 2020. Part of empowering the electric cooperatives (ECs) is to show appreciation for their endeavors, most specially by honoring the valiant and dedicated Warriors of Light.
The centerfold page highlights the contribution of the Warriors of Light, this generation’s modern day superheroes. They put the “bayani sa bayanihan” as they risked their lives to restore power during the onslaught of typhoons Tisoy and Ursula even if it meant that they were away from their families.
The twelve-page newsletter also shows news articles about PHILRECA receiving an award internationally; the significant role of National Electrification Administration (NEA) was recognized; the inclusion of representatives from APEC and PHILRECA in the prestigious energy commission; and the push for the expansion of 4Ps to include access to electricity.
As stated by the solons, “energy is slowly transitioning from being a privilege to being a right.” Access to electricity can now be considered as part of the basic needs of man. It is a basic need which should be shared to all in order to better the lives of the people.
Overall, DAGITAB shows the commendable works and struggles behind the One EC-MCO Movement and how they are unshaken by the battles that they are faced with. Without their constituents, they will not be able to achieve and overcome all of these goals.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
