WANTED GANG MEMBER FALLS IN LAGUNA

An intelligence-driven operation has led a police composite team to capture and neutralize a wanted person who has been evading the law since 2017 for various crimes.

In a report of Laguna PNP to PNP chief, PGen Debold M. Sinas, the successful operation of Laguna PPO Intelligence Unit and San Pedro City Police Station has neutralized JAMES DAIREZZE ELOMINA yesterday, December 29 at 10 PM in Aplaya Purok 4, Barangay Cuyab, San Pedro City, Laguna.

ELOMINA was the subject of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Homicide issued by Hon. Francisco Dizon Pano, Presiding Judge of the RTC Branch 93  of San Pedro City last August 24, 2017.

According to Laguna PPO, the police operating teams approached the suspect to serve arrest warrant but he chose to run toward Aplaya area and engaged the lawmen in a gunfight.

Elomina sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately brought to Jose Amante Hospital in Barangay Sto. Nino but  was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Intelligence reports noted that since 2016, the suspect was an active member of Ireneo Fajardo Criminal Group, a notorious gang involved in gun-for-hire activities and illegal drug trade and operating in south districts of Laguna Province and Muntinlupa City

Laguna police also confirmed that the suspect was one of the high value individuals of the province involved in illegal drug activities and the killing of street-level drug couriers who failed to pay him on time after their illegal transactions.

The SOCO team recovered from the crime scene one caliber.45 of the suspect, two fire cartridge cases, 25 sachets of suspected Shabu, and cash bills amounting to Php 1,440.

The cadaver of the suspect was brought to a funeral parlor in Barangay Nueva for autopsy examination, Laguna PNP said. - (PNP-PIO)
