Title: 26 Persons Arrested Over the Weekend in an Enhanced Anti-criminality Police Operation in Davao del Norte.
Davao Norte Police Provincial Office - Under the supervision of PCOL ANTONIO D ALBERIO Jr, Fourteen(14) successful serving of warrants of arrest in the enhanced anti-criminality police operations all over the province of Davao del Norte which resulted in the arrest of 14 suspects subject to such warrant of arrests. Five of the fourteen arrested persons are most wanted including the top 6 most wanted at the provincial level and the top 6 of the most wanted city level of Tagum City. The top 4 most wanted persons of Carmen Municipal Police Station, the Top 6 wanted persons of B. E. Dujali, and the top 8 most wanted persons of the municipal level of Sto. Tomas Police Station was also arrested.
Other than this, the intensified campaign against illegal drugs also resulted in the arrest of 9 suspects in 7 successful operations including the arrest of Ian Salde Castañares AKA “Yan”, a high-value individual and a top 5 on the drug’s watchlist at the regional level after he sold shabu to the police poseur buyer with an estimated weight of 4.9 grams. The 7 successful operations resulted in the confiscation of 9.75 grams of shabu with a total Dangerous Drug Board value of 66,300 pesos.
While 4 successful operations were conducted in the anti-gambling operation which resulted in the arrest of 4 personalities and confiscation of 720.00 pesos bet money. On the other hand, in the campaign against loose firearms, 3 operations were conducted that resulted in the confiscation of 2 firearms and 1 other surrendered. In total, there are 26 persons arrested in the entire province in the enhanced anti-criminality Police Operations.
These operations were simultaneously conducted over the weekend after PCOL ALBERIO directed all chief of police to intensify anti-criminality operations in the entire province. According to the police provincial director, these operations are the manifestations of the effort of Pulis DavNor to eradicate criminality and maintain peace and order in the province. He congratulated the operating units for the efforts and at the same time expressed his gratitude to the public for their cooperation that resulted in the success of the operations. He added that DNPPO shall always exert extra efforts to implement our laws for the maintenance of peace and order in the province.###
