INCIDENT REPORT: The PCG, PNP, and Taytay MDRRMO have recovered the cadaver of the missing teenager at the vicinity waters off Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal along Pasig River yesterday, 08 March 2022.
On 07 March 2022, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Special Operations Group (SOG) Malacañang received a report from the Coast Guard Sub-Station Nagpayong regarding a drowning incident that transpired at the said vicinity waters.
Immediately, the PCG launched a search and rescue (SAR) operations. On 08 March 2022, the SAR team found the lifeless body of the victim along the riverbanks. The victim’s mother, a resident of Maybunga, Pasig City, confirmed that it was the body of her 14-year-old son.
The cadaver was properly turned over to the Philippine National Police (PNP) for further investigation. Afterwards, it was brought to a nearby funeral service provider for proper disposition.
