right lindy! ang mga alipores ra ang mo take advantage and mau ra pud ni sila ang maka daut ni Chatto. Knowing Chatto to be a man of principles, hopefully he will also check on his men and not tolerate on what they will be doing.
Pro in fairness, naa man pud daghan maayu sa mga taw ni Chatto. Kana lang uban. Sana wa nai alipores, or taw2x. If they are really for and with Chatto, they should support him and we, too! Maski nang wala ning pabor ni Chatto last election, let's move on as one and support Chatto's leadership. In this way, Chatto can move ahead to make more progress for our beloved BOHOL! Kita ra bitaw tanan ang mabulahan! Let's trust him....mau ra jud ni ang dapat natong buhaton!

The best way to help the province is to invest your money here...by putting up small or micro-enterprises...your success would have a multiplier effect that would go a long way in alleviating poverty and providing jobs...or if you're not into that (business)...to spend your money within the province...buy local produce, hire local people...vacation in bohol, get your freinds to come to bohol...the money they spend would circulate and provide opportunities for others...

i dont think its up to chatto coz its such a huge project... i've read that this project is being pushed for review by president-apparent noynoy aquino for being a 'midnight appointment'. if this is indeed true, our leaders are all palaka members what can they do? montano had a decent no. of votes from the bol-anons so all is not lost, i think.

Aumentado has signed the MOA for this "GUSO" for bio-ethanol something...and he has insured that this would happen by seating as congressman in the second district where the project would be, I think this would be fine as long as they are environment friendly...but I think problems would be apparent when the locals start losing fishing grounds to the project......the airport I think is a go...but not as it was envisioned before meaning international...this I think would becomean alternate airpot for Mactan

In fact I did. I put up a multi-million (PhP) project, but it was not properly managed. It is hard to let relatives run your investments. Maybe, I was poorly advised when the FS was undertaken. As a result, I lost so much money.

My option is still open, I am interested in eco-tourism maybe in the future when I will retire and personally manage it. Meantime, I am trying my best to provide the kids in my barangay some fun. I sponsor egg hunting during Easter, and Xmas party with games,prizes and gift giving. That means so much to the children in my poor fishing village. Who would care to feed them free? Who would remind them that Xmas is not only for the rich but is also for poor kids like them? Just a day of fun, but memories live forever.

Someone has to do it, I believe.

Mao lagi Jig, although I was able to accept it, but, it was very embarrassing to my husband. The bulk of the money comes from his inheritance. Not just money, we put up a pig farm and that is capital extensive. We lost so much. Lesson to share: never trust relatives about your business.

He is so financially generous to me and my family, so he never say a word, but deep down I know he was very sad about it.

I would like to convert my farm into eco-tourism project. That is very ideal considering the proximity of Cortes to Tagbilaran, flower gardens and exotic small animals like butterflies and birds.

All we have to do is be vigilant kung magsugod na sila mag dumala sa bohol kay dagko raba jud ni sila gasto sa election combined ni Chatto/lim/relampagos mga 190 million pesos unsaon nalang na pagbawi nila sulod sa tulo (3years) ka tuig....Kita nalang mag calculate sa ilang utok nga unsay sunod nila buhaton. I hope nga mutuman sila sa ilang promise nga adunay accountability ug transparent ilang mga proyekto og financial status sa Bohol. I just pray nga malamdagan atong mga newly elected nga adunay mga tawo nag vigilant nila...goodluck sa mga newly elected nga officials...

There is a famous student slogan in the 80's" (am not sure if it originated from UP). "KUNG HINDI TAYO KIKILOS SINO ANG KIKILOS, KUNG HINDI NGAYON KAILAN." It rings true all the time.

We can make a difference by starting in our own backyard. We cannot expect the government to take care all the problems of the people, what we expect for them is to have a political will to implement pro-people programs, that will eventually uplift the living condition of our people. We deserve more than a lip-service, more than hollow promises, more than just political gimmicks.

I was hoping one day, we can unite ourselves and form a very strong advocacy group. A kind of organization that will safeguard and protect the interests of the Boholanos. A group that is critical to legislative agendas, critical to policies that are adversely affecting the interests of the people.

By concerting our efforts we can make a difference.

We don't need to be elected to serve, we are made by God to fulfill a mission. We will not throw this chance of a lifetime. LIFE IS SHORT.

Thank you for that Jig. I think we need to do that.

As an example here in Florida very recently, the Florida Congress was deliberating on a House Bill that will adversely affect the retirement system as one of the measures to save money for the state. It was like a hotcake and subject to debate and conversation from all walks of life.

We lobbied for squashing the bill; we did signature campaign, phone calls, personal letters, emails and all kinds of campaigns to prevent the passage of the said bill. We won. The bill was killed before it kills us.

Similarly, we can do it for Bohol. As an advocacy group, we donâ€™t need to spend so much money to advance our agenda; we only need commitment and dedication. We only need one unified stand to show that we care for our hometown.

Just like what we did for the acacia trees in Guindulman. It is an advocacy in nature, but look at the effect, it created an awareness to the people and the government side. We may not bring the lives of the trees back, but we can prevent further distraction. We will be there to watch... and say Hep... No..no.. when needed.
