I was texted by the Booy Barrio Captain to attend an early radio show 6-7 am, hosted by DYTR, sponsored by dunkin donuts. I simply joined something new to me. Mayor Dan Lim very punctual and talked to the barrio folks about their problems, suggestions and concerns.
at the start all senior citizens of the City of Tagbi were greeted and one by one were given the chance to say something to the mayor.
Wow kurat ko kay daghang nitambong, daghang nanghatag ug painit sama sa kape, pandesal ug lugaw na manok. Dihay reklamo bahin sa mga tagbalay nga walay kasilyas, ang mga problema sa housing (squatting on somebody's land), pag develop sa mga beaches sama sa Caingget, Pagah-pagah ug Booy beach.
Ako naghisgot sab nga ang mga naingon nga kaligo-anan angay ampingan sa mga katawhan ug dili binlan ug mga basura. Akong gihisgotan nga tinood nisaka ang krimen apan ang atong lonsod nagpabilin nga maoy paborito sa mga langyaw. Nalipay naminaw ang mayor kay aduna pa diay nidayeg sa lungsod ug dili punay tamay.
I was impressed becaused this is a good opportunity not to go to Cityhall, rather talk direct to him, like a friend or a neighbor. I wish he could implement more on what he said about keeping the place safe and clean.
