Noynoy to take oath before barangay captain

 TARLAC CITY , Philippines  – Presidential race frontrunner Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III said yesterday he would break tradition and take his oath of office as the next president before a barangay chairman as his manifestation of protest against President Arroyo’s appointment of Renato Corona as the new chief justice.

Aquino earlier said he would not want Corona to administer the oath of office, saying he would not respect the authority of the incoming chief justice since his appointment was made under questionable circumstances, having fallen within the constitutional ban on midnight appointments.

Most likely, Aquino said, a barangay chairman from his hometown here will swear him into office.

How i WISH, i could be that barangay captain! :)

maayo gani na usab ang huna huna. una niya ingon sa barangay tanod human na usab sa barangay captain na lang kono..naa man siguro gi alimahan ang imohang gibotaran bol-anon.kataw-an ta ani sa uban nasod.

Mao nay dakong problema ni Ngoyngoy ron este Noynoy diay... ;D naggama na ug ruckus wala pa gani ka take oath...Can't he just accept it? wala pa gani siya makalingkod....mag harab2x nah...how pathetic ;D

Corona´s appointment might be disputable to  Noynoy Aquino but in taking his oath he has to toe the line as what is deem and proper in our tradition. If he do otherwise he can´t expect the people to work hand on hand for building a new future.

It is not Noynoy's fault that PGMA made a midnight appointment...it is PGMA's fault...so why are you people trying to make it appear that Noynoy is wrong...Corona has known connections with PGMA...would you like Noynoy to be hostage to the Supreme Court...if PGMA becomes speaker of the house she could also render Noynoy inutile...THINK ABOUT THAT...PGMA still wants to rule the country...so watch out...

I'm not for Noynoy, since I voted for Gibo, but we must bear in mind that the people have spoken, the majority I mean...and we must respect that...instead of looking at faults...can't we join hands and do something constructive? wala pa gani kalingkod gitirahan na...

that's the problem you see?...if we look for a leader, everyone points a finger at somebody else other than themselves...then when a leader is chosen...everyone tries to find fault in him...BE CONSTRUCTIVE PEOPLE...
