From the Bohol Chronicle
By Kit BagaipoAside from the usual mudslinging, the election for the hotly contested presidency of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Bohol Chapter has turned into a money contest with three days left into the elections on Wednesday.
Some 482 PCL members which includes municipal councilors, Liga ng Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) presidents will choose from three contenders City Kag. Danilo Bantugan, Garcia Hernandez Kag. Tita Baja-Gallentes and incumbent PCL president, Loay Kag. Brigido Imboy.
Reports reaching the Chronicle bared that some councilors already received the “first wave†from two of the moneyed bets.
According to sources, each aspirant delivered P2,000 for every councilor.
