well they still need to prove that they're not just good in words....that's why we need to watch our vote and protect our rights to have the lesser "personal intention" leaders....they're just good when it's election time...but once finished...true motives and intentions occur......

Beware of those who sneak in at night! While the Filipino people were deeply asleep on the evening of June 2, 2009, sinister forces, consisting of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyoâ€™s allies in Congress, once again launched a sneak attack to steal what was left of the little democratic space that the people still enjoyed. Under the leadership of Speaker Prospero Nograles, the House of Representatives forcibly rushed the passage of House Resolution 1109, thus paving the way for the convening of a constituent assembly to effect â€œCharter carnage.â€

In spite of loud protests from the people, Ms Arroyo, through her cohorts, stubbornly maneuvers to pursue Charter change. Cha-cha is meant just to perpetuate an immoral and illegitimate regime. Ms Arroyo should instead pursue as her priorities genuine agrarian reform, employment generation, liveable wage, affordable education and services and all the other popular issues.

Ms Arroyoâ€™s and her minionsâ€™ insistence on forcing Cha-cha clearly manifests their dictatorial bent. True sovereignty emanates from the people, not from mercenaries.

As a parliamentary form of government does not guarantee a solution to the sickening political crisis, Cha-cha will only make our economy and patrimony more vulnerable to unbridled foreign exploitation and plunder, thus further degrading our nationâ€™s sovereignty and trampling the constitutional provisions on human rights and civil liberties. Therefore, the claim that Cha-cha will lead to substantial change is an outright lie meant to deceive the people.

Cha-cha, like its dance version which is performed with forward-backward steps, has been attempted in the past but ended up in failure due to massive protests. It is destined to fail again this time.

Sunshine Cruz, wife of Cesar Montano, was seen in Malacanang Palace last 12 June 2009 dancing the traditional Rigodon. Could this be Malacanang's way of paying back Cesar (by way of anointing him as the her party's official candidate) who ran (and lost, anyway) for Senator under the unpopular President's party last 2007?

Also, Cesar Montano was spotted in Ubay town, hometown and bailiwick of Gov. Aumentado. If Aumentado was for Chatto or Herrera, why would he allow Cesar to even step foot in Ubay?

These could be indications of the governor's preferred candidate in the 2010 gubernatorial derby.

regardless of who malacanang endorses as official administration candidate for bohol officials from governors to congressmen, we boholanos should make sure that ALL administration candidates lose in the coming elections in 2010. this is to ensure that any initiative towards charter change to further the political ambitions of GMA and her cohorts is derailed. DOWN with all administration candidates!

with my encounter with the "masa" people, manawat sila kon dunay ihatag pero mobotar gihapon sila sa ilang gusto unless they are "coerced". intawon mosunod nalang lagi pod sa mga politico nga adunahan.

in reality, the segment of voters whom we are talking about are the intelligent voters unta, but some of this are advocating padrino padrino or clanish attitude wherein even they knew that the aspirant is not suitable, only popular pero mopadayon gihapon because of their vested interest.

if we really need change, kitang dunay kinaadman mohinay hinay ug sulti sa atong kaugalingong mga pamilya og mga paryente.

i still believe that there is a good future for this country if we have to start having that change in ourselves first before expecting the masses to follow.

i think it's about time to embrace such tactic as "norm" in the politics. i think we should stop calling or branding it as "bad" for politicians. let's just call it as way of political life in this country. what you think? am moving backwards? hehe
