Vice Ganda posted a disclaimer that his endorsement is not for sale. "May matino akong trabaho. Nakaipon nako. At hinding hindi ko ibinibenta ang prinsipyo ko. Libre ang pagendorso ko sa taong pinaniniwalaan ko."
Meanwhile, an ecstatic Risa Hontiveros thanked Vice Ganda for his endorsement.
“Sobra sobra akong natutuwa. I wish to thank Vice Ganda for standing up against traditional politics. I have always admired his bravery and his intelligence, and I deeply respect the fact that he is standing up for his principles,†Hontiveros said in a statement.
Vice Ganda's endorsement could really mean a lot to Hontiveros, especially since the last stretch of campaign still leaves her "outside the border" of possible winners in the Senate race, according to the latest SWS surveys.
Earlier this week, Vice Ganda has been in hot water following his joke that he could run for president without prior experience - an indirect reference to Vice President Jejomar Binay's daughter Nancy Binay who guns for a Senate seat.
