News Release: Ormoc City Mayor Richard I. Gomez and the 'TWG-Ormoc City Library Management' members had an Organizational Meeting at the CMO Conference Room earlier today, April 21.
Matter under discussion was regarding Executive Order No. 155 series of 2021, "An Executive Order Creating the Management Body for the Use, Administration and Operations of the Ormoc City Library", and design or plan of the New City Library.
Furthermore, during the meeting, recommendations were also made, such as:
*The creation of an audio visual room/conference room, the installation of CCTVs, the need for more licensed librarians, staff, and having a Catalogue Section;
*The plumbing shall be censor type, standard glass/windows like the Ormoc Museum, and installation of big electric fans;
*Shall use solar panels to save on electricity;
*Food stalls ideally in front of the school and City Hall, Library Office will be below/under the stairs; and
*To coordinate with Ateneo, Rizal for the concept and content of library.
Mayor Gomez directed that Architect I, Ian Paul S. Oliver of the Office of the Building Official (OBO), create a presentation of the entire library design, with a focus on the interior.
