Press Release: In celebration of our President Bongbong Marcos’ birthday, Department of Agriculture(DA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources(DENR), Department of Interior and Local Government(DILG), Philippine National Police(PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology(BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(TESDA) and Carcar LGU joined forces and attended the national simultaneous TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY at Camari Hills, Calidngan, Carcar City, Cebu early today.
The said TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY was graced by DILG Regional Director Leocadio Trovela, DILG Cebu Provincial Director, Atty. Ian Lucero, DepEd Regional Director Salustiano Jimenez, BFP Regional Director Chief Superintendent Jaime Ramirez, BJMP Regional Director General Efren Nemeño, Asst. Regional Director for Technical Services Forester Charlie Fabre, TESDA Regional Director Gamaliel Vicente, Carcar City officials headed by Mayor Patrick Barcenas, barangay officials and personnel from different agencies.
All the above-mentioned offices expressed their commitment to taking care of the environment and to make follow through to make the activity effective and productive, to mitigate climate change as every single tree is essential to combat global warming.
