Tommy Abapo Leads Bohol Vice-governor Survey

By Arlaine Cecile Berdin

Provincial Administrator Tomas Abapo Jr. continues to lead airlanes surveys on the vice gubernatorial arena.

The latest survey conducted through the public affairs program, Tomorrow's News Tonight (TNT), hosted by DYTR Station Manager Lito Responte, showed a wide margin between Abapo and Second District Representative Roberto Cajes.

Abapo leads with 33 percent of the listener’s preference, while Cajes- -his expected closest rival in Bohol’s vice gubernatorial race- -slumped with 22 percent.

The survey indicated large response from rural areas where Abapo is believed to have established a turf.

The TNT survey only confirmed Abapo’s lead in an earlier round conducted by radio station DYRD.

Abapo, currently the Dean of the Holy Name University College of Law, has conquered 70 percent of the respondents’ preference for vice governor in 2010, leaving three potential rivals with only 30 percent to divide among themselves or 10 percent each.

The earlier survey comprises, generally, of respondents from growth centers, including the capital city, Tagbilaran.

Abapo had been a radio commentator, then a Provincial Board member. Later in his government service career, Governor Erico Aumentado appointed him as provincial legal officer, then as provincial administrator.

Even with the tag, "the little governor", Abapo has chosen to stand side by side the grassroots sector in the effort to bring the government closer to the people.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
