Television host and actress Kris Aquino, one of ABS-CBN’s major talents, is hurting from her mother studio's use of black propaganda against her brother in its news programs.
This was hinted at on Saturday by Liberal Party presidential candidate Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, who questioned ABS-CBN's handling of questionable information—a bogus psychiatric report—coming from a tainted source.
In a press conference at the Tupi municipal hall in South Cotabao, Aquino admitted that he received a text message from his sister Thursday morning but he refused to reveal its content.
When asked to verify reports that Kris had ill feelings over ABS CBN's handling of the bogus report spreading on the Internet, Aquino was evasive. "It’s probably better if you ask her, I'm not her designated spokesman."
Aquino said ABS-CBN should have at least sought to verify the report that was purportedly made by the Ateneo de Manila University’s psychiatry department and signed ostensibly by Father Carmelo Caluag before airing it since it acquired the report from a secondary source.
"It would have been a non-story from the start if they only checked it out from the beginning," said Aquino.
ABS CBN claimed that they got the information from two separate NP sources two weeks before airing the news. NP has denied being the source of the story and is challenging ABS-CBN to reveal its sources.
Aquino also railed at the people behind the Internet hoax for dragging his mother, the late President Corazon Aquino, in their black propaganda.
