News Release: A turnover ceremony of a multi-purpose building in Brgy. Cogon, Ormoc City took place this afternoon, March 25.
Contract cost of the aforesaid project is Php 3,841,599.21 and has a total floor area of 220.16 square meters.
The two-storey newly built multi-purpose hall will be used as a mezzanine storage area, proposed radio room / command post and command center / conference hall.
Accordingly, funding for the project came from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2020, thus, big thanks to the efforts of Leyte 4th District Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez, Mayor Richard I. Gomez and the Ormoc Development Team (ODT) for making sure that the project is implemented.
The good congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez herself led the ribbon-cutting ceremony together with Mayor Richard I. Gomez, Vice Mayor Leo Carmelo Locsin, Jr., SP Member Vince Rama, SP Member Lalaine Marcos, and Brgy. Cogon PB Ma. Cassandra T. Codilla together with her councilors, were also present during the said activity.
The implementing agency of said road project is the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office spearheaded by District Engineer Arnaldo Bonifacio.
