Outgoing Governor Erico Aumentado, who is making a comeback to Congress after winning as representative of Bohol’s 2nd district, has initiated a smooth transition of the provincial government to the governor-elect, incumbent 1st district Congressman Edgar Chatto, to ensure the implementation of various mega-projects started in his administration.
The outgoing governor tasked Provincial Administrator Handel Lagunay to convene the team to prepare the transition plan, and designated Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator John Titus Vistal as focal person in the transition.
Aumentado requested Chatto to also organize his own transition team and meet with his.
He stressed the significance of a smooth transition, considering that megaprojects and programs are already being implemented, some due for implementation or are already in the initiation phase which must be followed through so that these can be completed in the incoming administration.
“Were hopeful and optimistic that when these projects and programs are fully implemented, they will improve the quality of life of the Boholanos and further enhance the economic drivers of our province, that is, agriculture and tourism,†Aumentado said.
In response, Chatto informed Aumentado that he had also formed his own transition team to complement the team of the outgoing administration in the transition talks.
Chatto designated Provincial Board Member Alfonso Damalerio II as focal person of his transition team.
“The Damalerio-led team and I will are very interested to know the outgoing Governor’s priority programs and projects including their stages of implementation for our appropriate guidance before we also embark on trailblazing development initiatives,†Chatto said. - PNA
