TUGUEGARAO City, Oct. 8 (PNA) -- A 68-year-old villager from the northernmost town of Cagayan has filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for governor of the province to challenge the incumbent provincial chief executive.
Gubernatorial bet Jose “Boy†Perez, 68, of Abulug, Cagayan filed his CoC as independent.
Perez said he is the grandfather of Congresswoman Baby Aline Vargas-Alfonso of the second district of Cagayan.
Perez, a perennial independent bet in the past elections, is on his second try for the gubernatorial post. He also run thrice for congressman in the second district but lost all battles for the said posts.
After filing his COC, Perez sang old songs while dancing, claiming that he is a musician and an artist.
