Valenzuela councilor Shalani Soledad offered a prayer for the success of her boyfriend, President-elect Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino III, at the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo Church) early Wednesday morning.
Security guards of the said church, led by one Noel Belarma, said Soledad spent 20 to 25 minutes praying during the scheduled 2 a.m. Mass.
The Valenzuela councilor was wearing black colored clothes at the time.
The guards also said that Soledad quietly left after saying her prayers.
Shalani will be part of Aquino's entourage who will be witnessing President-elect Aquino take his oath of office at the Quirino Grandstand Wednesday noon.
She will be wearing yellow gown designed and made by noted fashion designer Rajo Laurel whom Aquino personally selected from a pool of designers.
Laurel admitted that due to his excitement, he posted a message on his Twitter account about Soledad trying on the gown on Monday morning.
