Leyte Fourth District Representative Richard Gomez on Wednesday expressed his support on the postponement of Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections this year.
According to Gomez, the election will cost the government about a little over P8 billion if it pushes through this December.
He added that the P8 billion can be allotted for the agriculture programs of the Marcos administration.
"If we will postpone the SK and Barangay elections this year, gawin na lang natin next year. Lalagyan natin ng budget for next year," he said in an interview with ONE News. (via PhilSTAR)
