CPPO CONDUCTS DIALOGUE WITH MEDIA PARTNERS ON SECURITY AND SAFETY CONCERNS
Cebu Police Provincial Office initiated dialogue with media partners and other practitioners on October 20, 2022 to address the safety and security concerns brought about by their profession.
The said dialogue was headed by PCOL ROMMEL J OCHAVE, OIC CPPO together with DILG Provincial Director Atty. Ian Kenneth B Lucero, Arnold Bustamante President Cebu Federation of Beat Journalist and other Media Practitioners.
As partners in informing the public of the PNP’s plan and programs PCOL OCHAVE ensured to give security assistance to media practitioners and any media groups who daily faces the dangers of the profession and receives life threats.
Likewise, DILG Provincial Director Atty. Ian Kenneth Lucero guaranteed support in PNP’s scheme and programs in ensuring safety to media groups.
In conclusion, the PNP and the DILG are grateful for the support of the media men in informing the public on the plans and programs of not just the PNP but all government agencies to ensure transparency, accountability and participation of the general public.
The collaboration of the PNP and the media in CONNECTING with the people fosters a sense of unity in making the Province of Cebu and the entirety of Central Visayas a safe place to live.
This is in line with the C,PNPs framework of Malasakit, Kaayusan at Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran, with the PNP assuring the public na ang "Kaligtasan Nyo Sagot Ko, Tulong tulong tayo!"
