The recent significant strides in the Philippines are due to “better governance and partnerships” of the administration of President Benigno Aquino III, Vice President Jejomar C, Binay posited on Wednesday.

“With President Aquino at the helm, significant strides continue to be made in our journey towards development,” the Vice President said at the opening of the Philippine Corporate and Investment Pavilion (PCI Pavilion) in nearby Paranaque City.

He mentioned the evaluation of noted institutions such as the World Economic Forum. "Our admirable progress as noted by Transparency International, the World Economic Forum and even the U.S. Department of State, spurs us to widen the scope of our efforts and to engage more stakeholders so as to secure endurance and sustainability.”

Binay outlined some of the progress in key industries that drive “inclusive growth” and mentioned the country's drive to reduce corruption and promote transparency through partnerships with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and civil society groups.

The PCI Pavilion is one of the event highlights of the Philippine hosting of the three-day 45th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors which starts on Thursday.

Binay enumerated: The Philippines remains among the world’s top 10 exporters of tropical fruits like mangoes, bananas, and pineapples, and is currently strengthening the growth of more high-value crops.

The country is also the 8th largest fish producer in the world, and the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry is rising faster.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
